Not the most exciting thing to review...
Unless you're in the market for top-quality hardwood.
I've just returned from fitting the oak I'd ordered.
I looks superb - there's no other word for it.
The client is delighted, too.
One of the best things about ordering from British Hardwoods, is the quality of their packaging.
TWO layers of corner-protecting cardboard (which is incredibly strong!) and a corresponding number of layers of plastic film. to keep everything in tip-top condition.
Their prices, too, are so, so much keener than some high-street stores (one in particular is charging £58 for an 'L'-shaped piece of pine?!)
They also know how to correctly store their timber, so you don't have the pain of searching through countless pieces, trying to find something that's 'almost' straight.

Just the name, 'British Hardwoods', says it all, really.

I bought about 30 square metres of oak floorboards, plus ancillaries (scotias, doorway transition thingies, etc) from British Hardwoods. The people were all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, the products were excellent and the prices were fair. I'd use them again and I do recommend them.

My husband and I purchased the Engineered Classic Grade Natural Raw Effect Oiled Oak Flooring (16mm) for our living room, and we are incredibly impressed with both the quality and the ease of installation. We fitted the flooring ourselves. Having previously bought engineered oak flooring from two other companies, it was clear that the quality from British Hardwoods surpasses the others on many levels. We’ve received so many positive compliments and feedback from friends and neighbours. I highly recommend purchasing wood from this company.

Lovely planed oak plank, it was for a floating shelf in the kitchen and it looks beautiful.

Great product, nicely planed, flat, smooth and well packaged. The British Hardwood will definitely be my first go-to for my future projects.

I was going to order oak stave worktops for a media wall at my house as I thought solid oak would cost too much, when I looked on the website I was pleasantly surprised at the cost, don't get me wrong it's not cheap oak nowadays but when my order arrived the oak for my worktops (420mm wide 32mm thick window board) was one piece, not jointed and great quality, I also rang the next morning to order some oak in custom lengths, I didn't realise this would be then classed as a separate order so when my order arrived my custom lengths didn't I asked and they said this could be another week away I said it wasn't a problem as I didn't need it straight away but to my surprise the driver came back the same day with it. Fantastic timber and fantastic service I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Perfect, not much more to say

The service and quality of materials obtained from this company was excellent.
I received help via the phone re: choice of wood for the project. The delivery process was quicker than expected and packaging to protect contents was very good. Couldn't have done better.
I would recommned them.

Yet again British hardwoods have surpassed themselves with great service excellent delivery & fantastic wood. Over & above very happy highly recommend.

From the first moment I walked into the onsite show room I sensed I was in the right place for quality product and excellent customer service and that hasn’t changed. Jo talked me through the products, provided samples to take home and explained process and lead times. Ordering on line was straightforward. Delivery was on time with plenty of comms. Floor now fitted and looks fantastic, couldn’t be happier. Thank you Jo and all the team at British Hardwoods Crosshills.

My order of cherry battens arrived on time, though unfortunately not in the sizes I had requested. That said, customer service responded promptly and arranged for additional battens to be sent without delay. The cherry battens themselves were of excellent quality, and despite the initial mix-up, I was very pleased with the overall service.

Well what can we say? Such a fantastic product and the folks deliver perfectly the workmanship is outstanding I mean really whats not to love? The communication is fantastic too! Will be back!
