DISGUSTING
DISGUSTING! I originally wrote a great review and even emailed the company directly mid move to say how lovely my movers were. They arrived and were so great and helpful. They told me that it wasn't on the quote but there's actually a $350 walking distance fee, but because I packed so well they'd give me a discount of $250. Stressed from the move and not thinking I said okay. They moved me and helped me greatly, then stood in my doorway, made me write the nice review right then on the stop and made me PAYID one of the drivers the $250. I couldn't say no as I was by myself. My boyfriend was interstate at the time.
I got the invoice sans the $250, so asked them to please put it on there so I had accurate records. This led to the company calling me to find out what was happening because there shouldn't be a walking distance fee. I explained what happened and they said they'll look into it. One of the movers then called me personally and started to say "Remember we said the fee wouldn't be on the invoice!" and I hung up. He tried calling back and I didn't answer.
The company then finally emailed back to say that the $250 was not supposed to happen and was done without company permission and stolen by the drivers. I asked what the company was going to do about it, refund me? no. Refund the stolen money? No! All I got offered was $50 off my next move with them and some dodgy priority customer thing to use within the next 12 months if I move.
So the only way I get anything is if I give them hundreds more dollars.
I am absolutley disgusted with this company and will absolutely be taking legal action to try and recover my stolen funds. Thankfully my boyfriend is now moving in with me full time, the movers calling me directly and having direct knowledge of my house and information had me fearing for my safety given the company said they were taking "appropriate disciplinary action" - but they didn't care about this fact at all.
IF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN CHARGED A WALKING DISTANCE FEE, PLEASE CHECK ON THIS BECAUSE IT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ACCURATE!!!!

Poor experience
Poor experience, the removalist turned up went up my 48 stairs which advised on booking and advised $30 per fligt, then after a minute went back, I waited 10 minutes then got a call. I also have a small dog so apparently not clean for the 2 people picking up my items. After 10 minutes, and my 85 year old father waiting for the move I get a call. Why did the driver just tell me, poor customer experience, I think he saw 48 stairs and said no. I am now going with a local with a local contact.

CBD movers are great. Two guys came and assisted me to move my stuff to my new house. On time. Very punctual. They take care of my stuff so well. Unreliable and unprofessional movers
The movers were extremely unreliable and unprofessional. They arrived 3.5 hours late despite multiple follow‑ups and only attempted the job at the delivery location after demanding additional payment. They sent two people with no proper equipment, showed a lethargic attitude, and demonstrated no care for the work.
Customer service was equally disappointing — calls were never returned, leaving us waiting endlessly with no accountability. We ultimately had to handle the matter ourselves and still paid around $400 just for a fridge and washer.
I do not recommend this company.
