What happened with these soaring prices!?
We are talking about x4 times more expensive than just a couple of months ago.

I have no choice but to move to another brand! I 👏🏻 have 👏🏻no👏🏻choice 👏🏻

I have been buying my protein powder from Bulk for many years but have become more and more dismayed by the huge increase in prices. The marketing and constant bombardment of emails leads the customer to think they are getting a good deal. Buyer beware the prices have more than doubled in the last year. There is no excuse for this, other than greed and a disregard for their loyal customers. This loyal customer is moving to another brand

This company used to be a brilliant UK-based, family run business for good quality protein powders and supplements. I have been buying from them for nearly 10 years and the prices have just skyrocketed recently.

A prime example: Hydrolysed Whey Isolate (unflavoured) was my go to because it didn't contain soya (intolerant) and wasn't sweetened.

-Price paid on 6/1/2022:£44.40 for 2.5kg.
-Price quoted today 21/6/2022:£149.99 for 2.5kg.

Even with a 45% discount its £88. That is more expensive gram for gram of protein than chicken breast from Sainsbury's (£5 for 640g at 22g per 100g raw)

Its actually heartbreaking that we have come to this stage. Id rather not eat more meat but this is ridiculous.

Come on BULK you used to be amazing. What happened?

I have used bulkpowders for years and given them hundreds of £ of my money for their products. Unfortunately I wont be doing so again.

I bought a bulk deal and did not receive what I ordered. The convoluted process I had to go through to speak to a human was unbelievable.

1 - They have no telephone number to call them on to discuss anything at all

2 - The chat bot does not (or did not for days) pass you to a human to help you even though it says it will do. It just ends the chat.

3 - The only way to speak to a human is via email and each one takes up to 3 days to get a response from someone.

There seems to be zero end to end ownership with complaint cases.

On the back of such non existent customer service they have lost yet another Loyal customer (surely at some point the sheer mass of negative customer reviews should send internal bells ringing). I will shop at my protein from now on who do seem to have decent trustpilot reviews.

DO NOT USE THIS SCAMMY COMPANY. Tried to bill me and a friend more then we ordered then sent less, then have the cheek to try and charge forna return. Customer services non existent. SCAM

Been a loyal customer of bulk powders and now more recently rebranded to bulk. Have bought without hesitation for years due to low pricing and excellent products. The pricing is now insane over £200 for 5kg protein when I used to pay around £50-60 no more than year or two ago. Daylight robbery so have been forced to go to another supplement brand.

After ordering I found out they had a student discount. I tried to contact them multiple times immediately after ordering to cancel but nothing worked, including their “live chat” which failed and email.

I have used bulk for at least 5years plus, and I thought I was getting it wrong when prices seemed to be increasing rapidly but no I can definitely say prices have sky rocketed . I understand things increase over time but it’s like the prices vary from month to month I just don’t understand how they went to one of the best companies with great value to ultimate scammers. What sealed it today was I checked a protein price yesterday for a 1kg protein which in the sale was like 22pounds (almost double what it used to be anyway) then got an email saying extra 25percent of sale so thought I’d be getting a good deal so went to add to basket and the same protein is now at a sale price of 33pounds so your actually paying more than what the sale price was yesterday. To say I am disappointed in how they are operating at the moment is an understatement, Maybe the customers are paying for the big name advertisers but I used Bulk from word of mouth not from big names advertising it. Anyway can’t see how I can possibly order again when competitors are offering way better value. I ALSO note that when they reply they basically give you the worst story about why they had to rise prices, price rises are not the issue mainly , the issue is how much the prices vary from day to day on an item. Strongly suggest they sort this out before they lose valuable customers

Been with these guys for 10 years, they used to be the best but now the products have lost their quality and who on earth sets their prices now (Mr bean)..
My £1000 a year i used to spend with them is now £0

As many others have mentioned, the quality of these products has either deteriorated or somewhat stayed the same, however the hike in prices are just outrageous.

I’ve recently had a bad experience with their customer service too, where I’ve had to raise an issue with a shaker purchased from them, that was originally a replacement for a leaking stainless steel shaker.

The new one began leaking as the first done had done, but upon raising it with them have been told it’s too late to raise an issue with the item.

I’ve been told it’s down to wear and tear, and user error, but how can you use a shaker incorrectly?

The shaker is merely months old, so there must be some manufacturing issue they are either not aware of, or play the blind eye to.

You’d think with the recent hike in prices for products they could pay for better customer service, but perhaps they’d rather line their pockets.

Sad to say, I won’t be shopping with them in future, and will look for an alternative supplier for no doubt the same quality, if not better for less cost.

Prices have doubled.
They no longer show you the discounted price. You find out once you have paid. All it says on the listing page is "UP TO 70% OFF". That could be 1%. But you won't find out until the end.
And if you want to cancel your order, you can't, even if it's literally within minutes of placing it.

I don't think the company is making new products anymore. They've been in legal trouble for a a few years. They've been lying about ingredients, for example, a lot less protein than they mention on the packaging.

I received my items however the supplements were out of date and expired, also cannot seem to get any assistance from them either on the situation.

I have received nearly expired protein powder. When I asked for refund I was told I need to pay for return which I obviously refused. Bulk Powders advised me they won’t pay me money back and I am now left with no money and expired protein powder. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Cancelled order without reason. Not going to use again.

Used bulk powders for many years, but the prices are now extortionate. Had to move to another brand - just can't afford the massive increase in prices (sale price included). It's a good product, but just far too expensive now

Used their products throughout 2020 and 2021 but I can't deal with them anymore. They used to be cheaper than the competition, hence why I chose them. Their prices now align with competitors so they lost that edge.

I have received multiple items damaged on arrival and have seen repeated issues with their website, where student discount codes increase prices and payment methods are refused. Customer services offered no support.

Just use MyProtein. Haven't had any nonsense with them.

Can't really fault them yet . I ordered hesitantly with all the complaints but to be fair the order arrived within a week. Haven't tasted as I plan to start the gym in summer so just stocking up. But delivery wise ,went via DHL and an post and no hassles. Justin at give yourself two weeks

Used to be a big fan of bulk powders before the rebranding.

Always use their beef protein as i'm allergic to whey. Ordered 3 2.5kg bags, however I noticed when starting the second bag that the allegy symptoms that I normally get when using whey occured.

I'm convinced this is something to do with an incorrect product or a chance in recipe. There is no function on the website anymore for product reviews, perhaps this is because the products have changed and they want to keep this hidden from buyers.

It is a shame as this used to be a good company to use, will have to go back to MP or another company for future orders.

When i used the powder my lips start to dry and got sore and get dry! When i stopped my it got back to normal!
I tried 3 times to make sure there is a problem with the powder or not!
There is something wrong with them! Be carful
