You Just Can't Leave....
So we needed to leave Circleloop as the call forwarding is flakey and kept on dropping call hunting - and also charging us for forwarding. So in February we started the process of moving three numbers. We are now at May and only ONE has transferred.
The other two are still with Circleloop and there is no rhyme or reason for holding on to them. But they sure make it difficult - and it does seem, in part, intentional.
First off, you don't get a customer number, which is the main method used to identify customer accounts. For geographic it is the name of the business, but this can, of course vary - is it capitalised? Is it not? Does it have Limited or not? For non-geographic numbers it is a six digit number you cannot get hold of it without asking... and hoping.
And even when you are given the right information, they can take up to a month to action it, and then decide to reject without explaining why, and then you need to try all over again - which can take another month or more.
So, here I am three months later, with my phone numbers split between accounts and no end in sight. Like the Hotel California, you can never leave.
If you want to be stuck, choose Circleloop for a flakey system that won't let you leave.
Update: so after this review, they did move somewhat to help. Not aided by the other side who were more incompetent, but at least, finally in August, the number was transferred. Painful, and still buggy, with so much unfulfilled promise.
A+ for support
I wanted to set up a desk phone for my first shop. I had used circleloop for a year before on my mobile phone.
The total time between asking and a solution was about an hour. Their support rep made me a custom config file that meant i had no setup to do on my 3rd party Yaelink handset

Tried to close my account and had planned to open a new one with for a new business venture. Will not be doing that. No easy way to cancel - they force you to email or call a number. Neither of which you get a response. They're currently charging me £18 per month whilst I am a passenger waiting for them to respond to my email, return my call or even pick up the phone. Cowboys. Stay away.

The set up and software were super easy and it was followed up with a customer manager email to help guide you through.
The reason I have knocked a star off is because you have to email the cancellation team or phone them which if you added your billing details could cause you to get charged so be aware of this cancellation route prior to signing up.
However, that said, I contacted customer support via the email and they did respond to cancel.

Het spijt me ten zeerste dat ik mij genoodzaakt voel om mijn uiterst teleurstellende ervaring met CircleLoop te delen. Als een voormalige klant, die twee maanden geleden zijn abonnement heeft geannuleerd, ben ik geschokt door het gebrek aan respons en de aanhoudende problemen die ik heb ondervonden.
Mijn eerste pogingen om mijn abonnement te beëindigen werden met een teleurstellende stilte begroet. Zowel mijn e-mail als mijn telefonische verzoeken bleven onbeantwoord. Het is niet alleen een duidelijke indicatie van een gebrek aan klantenservice, maar het geeft ook een gebrek aan professionele toewijding aan de tevredenheid van de klant weer.
Na een maand ontdekte ik tot mijn ontsteltenis dat er nog steeds betalingen werden afgeschreven van mijn rekening, ondanks mijn geannuleerde abonnement. Om deze onrechtmatige afschrijvingen aan te pakken, heb ik onmiddellijk een terugboeking ingediend via mijn creditcardmaatschappij. Ik nam aan dat het een vergissing was, maar helaas herhaalde dit ongeoorloofde gedrag zich opnieuw.
Zelfs wanneer ik probeerde te communiceren met het bedrijf, werd mijn geduld tot het uiterste getest. Telefoonoproepen resulteerden in wachttijden van maar liefst 30 minuten, zonder enige vorm van respons. Het gebrek aan communicatie en opvolging is onacceptabel.
Hoewel ik erkennend wil zijn voor het vriendelijke gedrag van de medewerkers aan de telefoon, kan ik niet anders dan concluderen dat deze vriendelijkheid helaas niet werd vertaald in effectieve actie om mijn problemen op te lossen.
Na deze ervaring heb ik besloten om mijn creditcard te blokkeren en verdere stappen te ondernemen om dit onbevredigende gedrag aan te klagen. Mijn vertrouwen in CircleLoop is ernstig geschaad, en ik wil mijn teleurstelling en frustratie over deze kwestie uiten, hopelijk als een waarschuwing voor potentiële klanten die overwegen met dit bedrijf in zee te gaan.
In de hoop op verbetering en het nemen van adequate maatregelen om dergelijke situaties in de toekomst te voorkomen.

its great when it works however it does not work great on mobiles alone. We are looking into switching to a more stable provider after 2 years with them enough is enough.

Had a call with Imogen this morning to cover some questions I had as a new user and she couldn't of been more polite or helpful. She answered all my questions and even gave me advice on how best to utilise the system for my specific needs. I would highly recommend this firm based on my experience.
When it works
When it works, great! Unfortunately more often than not there’s something wrong, whether it’s the app not dialling, calls cutting out midway or the number you pay to use not showing when you call people, so they don’t answer! Such a shame, hopefully they sort it out

A company losing it's way.
Fantastic product that has been great for years, it's now got tech issues which they are not open about.
I feel sorry for the poor customer support people who know it's got faults and are not allowed to admit them.
It's a company that seems to have lost it's way and is in danger of losing the goodwill of it's customers. Shame.

In reply to Circleloop you've just done another software update today that meant none of my first 4 calls this morning did not connect, there's still issues with the product, it's still not integrating with Capsule either.
Your product is so well designed but the ongoing tech issues are driving us nuts.

Awesome App
Awesome App! Virtual numbers have come such a long way! Using this App to manage numbers and make changes is just too easy. The UI is great, had to play around with my phones permissions as you do but apart from that no other changes are needed. I did miss a call that I wasn't alerted too once, probably my phone's fault, but other than that it's been fantastic.
Worst calling software I have had the…
Worst calling software I have had the experience of using. Too many countries that cannot be called, and the ones that can be called do not connect most of the time. If you manage to get connected, the connection is not stable. Tested 2 other software to replace it, tested numbers in different countries and got connected to clients where CL does not even ring.
Moreover, the update to 1.17, from 1.16 basically broke the program and it does not even run properly. Only a white screen. You cannot revert it back if you are the standard user without any IT knowledge.

Great product and amazing customer support!
We decided to make the transition to AoIP from our old landline. CircleLoop was recommended to us and we are very glad we picked them. Ours was not a straightforward switch as we wanted to keep our number and so had to move our broadband over to a new line before porting the number across. The CircleLoop team provided fantastic support from start to finish. Sarah Blackburn in the Customer Success team was with us every step of the way during the move across and kept us updated and reassured. Adam and Dan in the customer support team fielded my numerous questions about the system setup patiently and with humour. Finally big mention to Imogen Newman who was super helpful during the initial purchase. This product is very good but the support team behind it makes it exceptional.!

I’ve just started using Circleloop and myself and my team are quite happy with the quality of the calls. So far so good 👍
Very glitchy and buggy
Very glitchy and buggy. App doesn't work most of the time and you have to have headphones in otherwise the person on the other end hears you twice, once delayed by a second.
Works ok on a strong wifi connection inside, but on data outside it's horrendous.
Over promises and underdelivers, i'm switching to a new provider.

Spoke with a nice lady today who talked me through the service and set up process.. To sum up I would have no hesitation in recommending the service to other business owners. 5/5 for sure

Can't call certain countries like Slovakia.
The quality of the calls aren't good either.
