Good gloves. But their website forces you to use a difference currency if you ship outside the UK, and in doing so secretly adds 10% extra cost to all products (plus the extra shipping costs). Unaccep... Ver mais

bought a wallet from Dense (sold through TikiMax) and I seriously regret it. Despite their claim of being established since 1777, you'd think they'd know how to make a decent product by now. But n... Ver mais

Some of the buttons on my recently purchased Dent gloves fell off and the stitching elsewhere is undoing.
I tried contacting Customer Services just to get some replacement buttons, but they wouldn't deal with me and told me I had to go back to the store where I had purchased my gloves. That's pointless, as they are not going to be able to provide new buttons.
What's happened to Customer Service? I am so disappointed as I had specifically bought Dent gloves so I could support a UK company and also get aftersales service.
Unbelievable! Ordered 3 belts, 2 ok but on the third the front part of the belt was sewn on the wrong way round so could not be worn.
It was returned for a replacement which arrived today but that was the wrong colour!
Does this company have no production or quality control checks? I received no explanation or apology and their email telling me it would be exchanged arrived after the notice to dispatch had been received. When you try and support a British enterprise what is the point when the experience is so bad?
I've only worn my Chelsea gloves a few times and there's a gaping hole in the side where the stitching has failed. Given the cost it is appalling.
Made in Czech and not England, you have to buy the super expensive ones if you want UK made.
Looks like Dents is a shadow of it's former self.
Looking for gloves, scarfs etc.. for myself and presents but I wanted to buy items not made in China and was happy to pay more. I saw a web site that said Dents products are made in the UK and Europe and this seemed to be backed up by their web site so I bought some gloves scarfs etc.. and didn't mind paying the higher prices. They came today and on opening the few items that had a made in label were made in China and the rest had no label to indicate which country they were made in so I assume China. The quality was no better than M&S. If I'd wanted M&S quality scarfs gloves etc.. made in China I would have gone to M&S and paid a lot less. They will all be going back. The hunt for quality products not made in China continues.
Dents Wikipedia entry reads:
.
Heritage gloves are available in a handful of stores worldwide with a luxury price tag and should not be confused with the imported gloves sold in most stores.
.
Dents advertising reads:
.
Involving as many as 32 stages and taking up to eight hours to make, each hand cut, handstitched pair of gloves gets the same VIP treatment
.
When I questioned Dents as to why my gloves had a label saying "Made in Poland" the girl who answered the phone couldn’t wait to say “Made in the England" only applies to our heritage range”.
.
Advertising standards for the UK reads:
.
Marketing communications must not mislead the consumer by omitting material information. They must not mislead by hiding material information or presenting it in an unclear, unintelligible, ambiguous or untimely manner.

I bought 2 pair of Dents “stylish, quality gloves” and the “Scottish cashmere lining in my Polish Gloves ” fell apart with only light use (I am 74).I called them and the response to the question Your advertising claims the gloves would last for many years was “that’s only the leather part not the cashmere linings”
.
It reminded me of a Morecombe & wise Christmas show when they did a sketch as follows: Ernie “I have just bought a Lada Sports car that’s faster than a Porch 911 0 to 60 Eric’s reply “yes but only once”
Morecombe and Wise were joking but sadly Dents are not.

Gloves looked good and fit reasonably well but the first time I wore them in a light rain dye leeched out and stained my hands and coat. I contacted customer service to ask if this was expected and never received a response. Pretty disappointed. These were not cheap gloves and now they are destined for the bin.
Dents pretend they have an Australian website and are an Australian based business. DENTS LIE!! I bought gloves thinking I could return them within Australia. Dents lied about where they are based! The gloves were TOO SMALL for me and Dents said I had to pay for postage to the UK to return them. Dents are a LYING RIP-OFF and I will never buy from them again!!!
I think the reviews on here are a tad unfair and no doubt any slow delivery times are likely due to the impact of coronavirus on manufacturing (you will see later in this review).
Ordered the gloves less than 48 hours ago and have them in my kitchen as we speak. Beautifully packaged, beautifully made, they look and feel exquisite. The only pitfall...?
Made in China. Disappointing, but then I didnt buy them assuming they were specifically British craftsmanship. However it does make me feel a tad guilty about the Scottish sheepskin businesses I passed by for Dents. These are not cheap gloves, they should be made in Britain.. and for this they lose a star. But otherwise no complaints over the service.
Ordered gloves and was told they would be sent with express delivery and arrive on Tuesday. The day they were meant to arrive, I get an email saying there was an error with the website and my order is actually out of stock. Looking on the website now... it still says they are available.
Very poor considering the price they are asking you to pay for their product.
Worst customer service I have received in a long time.
Extremely long shipping time (3 weeks to deliver to Denmark).
Ordered two pairs to test the size and was explicitly rest assured that exchanging the second pair was "free of charge".
Following up on the same email in which I had asked about the exchange, I am then told that the "free exchange" was referring to so called "administration costs" and that shipping was at the customers own expense. Politely asking what was meant by this administration costs, I was told it referred to the "handling of exchange but not the postage costs".
Referring to "free exchange" as this administration cost rather than postage costs (which should be the only cost relevant!) and even telling me when specifically asking about costs of exchanging is borderline criminal.
Will NEVER recommend this to anyone!
Beautiful feeling gloves... but only for a short while. I bought their top of the line peccary gloves - the Hampton. They've had very little use and have been treated very gently, but the lining is already falling apart. The quality is not worth the price tag of £200+. Can't recommend them - especially if you're going to use them a lot (I didn't and they're still shot).
Stock levels a bit shocking given the size of Dents, no problems with the order other than the delivery time was a tad slow. Perhaps head on down to your local high street Dents stockist as a first call, there’s no advantage price wise to buying direct.
For me the email offering discounted gloves on the heals of my order was a marketing fail.
Overall the Dents make a better wholesaler than retailer. But the gloves from a third party seller.
First pair of gloves delivered were faulty returned and a new pair delivered this time with a massive Security Tag still attached what an Embarrassment
Was offered a meagre £6 credit for all my troubles
Would never trust them again after this disastrous experience
I bought a pair of leather gloves wich costed around €100. I ordered them and at the checkout I selected the regular delivery methode wich said 6-8 Days and was around €10. I placed the order on the 5th of October and guess what....
Its the 21th of october and stil got nothing.... very disappointing, I live in the Netherlands wich is around a 7-8Hour DRIVE to the UK. And they need more then 2 Weeks to deliver a simple package. The shipping is just terrible, products ordered from china are even faster than this...
If you pay a visit to Dent's website you'll see they are proud of their heritage, going back to 1777. Indeed their website states "Dents of England has handmade the world’s finest leather gloves since 1777....". You'll see videos of crafts men and women making gloves. You can also pay an online visit to their museum.
However, nowhere will you see "Made in the UK", well nowhere that I could find. And this is strange because you'd think a British company that is so proud of their long British heritage would be shouting from the rooftops where their gloves are made. So, I sent them them an email [email log stating 17th December 2018 at 9:18am] to their Sales Department asking for a detailed reply as to which, if any, of their gloves are made in the UK as I would like to purchase a pair of gloves that were designed and manufactured in the UK by this supposedly British company.
I never received a reply!
If the Sales Department of Dents reads this review and wants to reply then please provide a detailed list of all of your gloves, clearly indicating which ones are and are not made in the UK. That way, other people reading this review will also be able to learn about the manufacturing origin of your gloves, from this company that prides itself on its long heritage.
On the positive side their gloves (at least the one style I've bought) are good, but made in the Czech Republic and not in the UK.
Customer service is very poor. I ordered a pair of gloves. The following day I got a 20% off offer.
Clearly I'd missed the offer by a day, but I e-mailed and asked if they would honour the offer.
Good customer service would have been to say yes, but I was prepared for them to say no.
Well, they couldn't even be bothered to answer.
Says it all really...
If I bought their gloves again I'd do so from a rather more customer-friendly retailer.
One of the oldest British brands who still produces, great products at an affordable price. I have a dents scarf purchased 15 years ago and still going strong.. keep up the good work..
So you may wonder why the ceo Deberah Moore went to China, well it appears the quality of dents items has gone way down hill, poor quality belts that they will only replace with the same or lower priced items, very disappointing and over priced poorly made goods, go elsewhere.
First item not stocked although shown on website an payment taken. Quickly refunded and discount voucher offered. Products are excellent will definitely order again
