Motown Gold were the perfect band for our wedding! They were a highlight of the night, and all our guests commented on how great they were! We would recommend them to anyone wanting to dance all night - amazing songs, lovely people, and we LOVED the addition of the sax!

Asked for a quote it was so expensive we didn't reply today we've had a email from a idiot asking have we been abducted by Aliens why haven't we replied shocking service from unprofessional rude arrogant person thank god we didn't use your company learn some manners. Glad to take our money elsewhere would leave 0 stars if we could. Very unprofessional after leaving this review they asked us to take of names says it all about a pathetic business go elsewhere they are non professional money grabers

Me and my other half had our wedding on the 20th of August, as a bit of drinker and party go’er myself I felt very apprehensive about making sure the DJ was good!
My word did he deliver, he played everything that we had previously requested, in addition to that, his ability to read the room was second to none, I have had NOTHING but compliments, he was amazing, not only in the music, but in himself such a cool guy really laid back and happy to go with the flow!
Even the bar staff at the wedding told me they had done a full season of weddings and they had not had an atmosphere like that!
I couldn’t recommend enough, so thanks Gary for making our wedding brilliant!

The most stressful and worst part of our wedding.
We were so disappointed with EarCandy - the service we received and are still receiving is appalling, I am shocked these guys are still in business.
If you want to spend the days before your event calling & emailing EarCandy waiting for some kind of reply (just to get confirmation of the act you booked over a year ago) then book away. I would strongly advise against it.
It really was the most stressful part of our wedding and although we eventually got what we asked for, it was nothing like the advertised artists; super expensive for what it eventually was!
I should say the last minute DJ they sent was amazing and we couldn’t fault him, however the Saxophonist (although I’m sure was very good) had no idea what was going on, was clearly new to the DJ/Saxophonist gig and didn’t perform for the time we paid for.
We are still trying to contact a member of the management team to discuss this matter (after emailing AGAIN and leaving ANOTHER phone message) but as they now have their money, we seem to be invisible to them.
Very upsetting, please use another company.

This is the first time in my life that I've had an experience so bad I felt the need to actually make a trustpilot account and write a review.

Don't bother with Earcandy, just book talent directly.
The band (king of the swingers) itself was okay but not the artists that we were expecting/advertised.

Things to look out for and my experience:

- The artists in the promo video are not who they send. They don't bother telling you this in the initial sales call and when asked they direct you to a FAQ.

- The communication is dreadful, email communication is incredibly poor and you have to call them just to get a response. We tried to get an extra player a year in advance and we couldn't get a hold of anyone until a month before. There's probably around 10 emails of us chasing them throughout the year before we resorted to calling them more than 5 times weeks before the wedding to confirm details.

- They ruined our first dance by not passing the bespoke song request well in advance despite us paying additional money for this. I had chased them more than 5 times several weeks before the event to ensure they have passed the information onto the band and they "assured" me that they had. It turns out they informed the band on the day of the wedding giving them no time to learn it.

Instead of taking responsibility they passed the blame onto the band manager by claiming he didn't pass the information on soon enough and essentially refuse to refund the amount we paid for the bespoke song. The funny thing is, one of the artists was a friend from school and he confirmed that no one was told anything from Earcandy until the morning. I never told Earcandy about this and wanted to see their response so it was interesting to see how they lied to us. I decided it's not worth the stress dealing with this company anymore since it'll be a "he say, she say" situation and their complaint resolution process takes so long that they essentially want you to forget about it.

They'll mention how they're under staffed and its the reason for the poor communication. So any potential customers please bear this in mind before booking to go with them. It is unacceptable to leave emails from a year ago unanswered. For Earcandy, being understaffed is not an excuse for providing poor customer service. The resolution is to hire more people.

They offered us £50 compensation as a "goodwill" gesture for their mistake and it's been a couple of months since the initial complaint and we still haven't received it. In fact communication continues to dreadful and we've not heard anything since. Just read the other bad reviews and you will see that this is a common theme.

If Earcandy responds, I just want to pre-warn any potential customers reading their response it will definitely be very fluffy and take everything with a pinch of salt.

Attended the Sporting Relay Finale and the bands Motown Gold and Skinny King played at the event

They were great and I enjoyed being part of the procession with Skinny King who played brilliantly into the event and Motown Gold got people dancing.

We booked the DJ, beats and sax package for our recent wedding. It was really useful to speak with the DJ before the event and share Spotify playlist ideas. Where possible the DJ played as many of the songs we had requested which was fantastic. The addition of the beats player and saxophonist were brilliant and added extra excitement for our guests when songs were playing. We loved how the saxophonist engaged with the audience and moved around the dance floor. Our event experience therefore was absolutely fantastic and definitely 5 stars!

The only reason why I have not listed five stars for Earcandy as a whole was there was a minor travel booking issue where ferries needed booking and it was only when I as the bride raised this the day before the wedding (during a pre-event phone call) that it had been considered despite my booking being made two years previous to our event. I felt this was something that should have been noted by Earcandy and added to my initial quote at time of booking. A very minor thing, but it added an additional last minute stress to my wedding day that could have been avoided.

We got married on 2nd June and had The Indie Heads play at our evening reception. They were incredible!!

They played all the requests we asked for and even some extra ones that they knew the crowd would enjoy! Everyone was up dancing all night and whenever anyone comments on the wedding, everyone always mentions how amazing the band was and best they've ever seen.

They were on time and I had the disco package included between band sets and that was great. The sound engineer was lovely and let us request songs on the night from guests.

I had a phone call 1-2 weeks before the wedding which was so helpful and gave me suggestions with set times etc, which put my mind at ease!

Thank you so much, was a bit apprehensive at first, booking a band online that I had never seen, but you blew my expectations away.
I would recommend the Indie Heads and earcandy to anyone planning a wedding!

More lit than a mf. 11/10 would party again.

Earcandy recently arranged music for our wedding at lapstone barn. We had a pianist during the day and then dk, sax and beats in the evening. The team were really accommodations and went through all our requirements over the phone ahead of the day. The music was brilliant and our guests loved it, we've even had a couple ask for details so that they can book them too!

Best wedding band ever! Such stage presence, stunning voices and great musicians. Made the wedding amazing.

The DJ was amazing from my first contact with him, I was nervous leading up to the wedding as I had had no contact from Earcandy unless I chased them.

Many emails sent to Earcandy received no response and I couldn’t get through on the phone so it was good to speak to the DJ directly and organise everything for the day.

The team he brought for the evening entertainment were amazing! Our guests loved every minute. The Saxophone and drums made the best atmosphere for the wedding and had everyone up and dancing. We cannot thank you enough.

Unfortunately I would avoid using Earcandy again as their communication is extremely poor I never had to chase any other supplier.

All our other suppliers responded swiftly and we had been contacted at least 4 weeks + before our wedding date to organise final elements where as I had to personally chase Earcandy to get any sort of contact from them. This made us anxious along with other reviews of couples being cancelled on last minute.

Our 3* review is only for Earcandy due to the poor communication. The DJ and his team are 5* and above. Thank you for the best evening entertainment.

I tried to name the DJs act but have been forced to remove this by Earcandy I assume to stop people going direct.
