They did a good job
Once we got over the initial hurdle of miss- or non-communication, during our onboarding, everything ran smoothly. Amber was professional and kept us updated when there was any movement. Luckily we were only selling so it's a lot less stressful than trying to buy at the same time. I would use enact again though.

Worth paying more elsewhere just to avoid
I struggle to conceive of a worse experience than my time with Enact. Missing (& completely failing to communicate) on deadlines, insisting on using post but failing to deliver documents to me on time so they can't be returned swiftly, telling me to make a payment on a certain date then claiming they didn't receive it (but "finding" the payment straight after the call), telling me it'll take 3 working days to process then insisting on setting completion date in 6 days and refusing to provide any detail on what changed (noting that as they'd missed the original deadline I was incurring SVR rate interest every day, obviously they couldn't have cared less), outrageous fees that were never fully disclosed or documented (and in some cases were many multiples of what were cited in their own terms of business). Any attempt to challenge or complain met with rudeness and zero willingness to even try and be helpful.
Obviously people don't choose to work with enact but essentially get forced into it by their choice of lender: the customer experience clearly reflects this. If I knew originally what I know now, I'd have picked a lender with a higher interest rate just to avoid this joke of a firm.

The process was fairly straightforward and we could speak to a person when needed which was great, this was a very different process to what we were used to in the past but I suppose things are different now and everything is digital. Thank you for guiding us through the process, a good company.

Poor communication and no updates
Poor communication and no updates. I’m still waiting for exchange of contracts. My buyer’s solicitor is apparently waiting more than a month for a response from Enact. They changed the case worker. No explanation given. They take weeks to respond to my queries asking for updates. Appalling service. Very embarrassing too. I wouldn’t use them again.

This has been a highly unpleasant experience. It is impossible to determine where you stand in the process, as there is a complete lack of transparency regarding the necessary next steps. Crucial tasks are left uncommunicated until the very last minute, creating unnecessary urgency. Furthermore, the website interface is incredibly confusing; the system indicates that there are outstanding items on your "To Do" list, yet the link is completely unresponsive. Even when navigating through the "Progress" section, the dashboard claims action is required but displays absolutely no details. In short, customers are kept entirely in the dark throughout the mortgage switch. The total absence of communication, updates, and clarity makes this the worst mortgage switching experience I have ever had. I strongly advise others to avoid this service completely.
