This is a nice compact Gym with friendly staff and interesting regular classes if you take the membership for it.
They have utilized their space optimally and is very conveniently located in the residential area. The staff is very friendly too.

Terrible service.

Concern about hygiene at Energie Stepaside. After a few years they finally changed the old, stinky, worn off mats with new ones which are even worse (!!). The "new" cheapest possible mats got worn out after first use, the bits of the mats get all over the carpet and clothes. Unbelievable that the owner is that cheap.

I’m writing to express serious concerns regarding the current state of cleanliness and maintenance at the Stepaside location. As a regular member, I find the ongoing neglect increasingly unacceptable.

There are dust webs and thick layers of dust throughout the gym, and much of the equipment is visibly dirty. Several wall sockets appear broken, posing potential safety hazards. The windows are absolutely filthy and covered in bird droppings, which haven't been cleaned for what seems like months.

Even more concerning are the toilets, which are showing clear signs of mould, and the tiles – which I clearly remember being gray when I joined – are now black from grime and a clear lack of daily basic cleaning.

This level of neglect does not reflect well on the Energy Fitness brand and is not what paying members should have to tolerate. I hope this matter will be treated with urgency, as the current conditions are well below acceptable standards.

Looking forward to seeing real improvements soon.

Will be cancelling my membership in Jan. The place is getting worse and worse. It is beyond filthy, machines falling apart, the yoga mats are unusable. No water fountain. I leave this gym in a bad mood, which is the opposite of how you should be feeling.

I’m not happy with it at all. I payed for a month and because I don’t want to go back anymore they didn’t even let me finish my month which I paid for..
I don’t have good experience with this gym and I don’t recommend.
It’s dirty and the machines are not in a good condition, yoga maths are rubbish.

I'm not sure if i will stay on as a member here. The Place isn't kept clean, at the treadmills they are full of dust and a big cobweb over in the corner wall at the last treadmill, the ledge and widows are dirty. The floor in the weights room is absolutely filthy looks like it's never cleaned. Anytime i am in there there is always a bunch of lads on the machine and sit there on there phones not even using the machine at all. I noticed that over by the door coming in/out that there is just two bins left there and has been for over a month now. None of the staff here do absolutely nothing but are never to be seen and are always sitting down doing nothing. I don't even know who the owner is or the manager as i never seen them. It is very bad that the management can't keep up to date of this.

Good staff, good equipment good price

Really enjoying my new membership. The staff are so friendly and helpful and I'm enjoying the classes.

Music is way too loud - approx 80 dBA. It's as noisy as being on a plane. Cold water only in the shower (in a couple of weeks I got warm water only once).
Otherwise good local gym.

Great place to work out always a good atmosphere

I had 7 direct debts leave my account in January after I joined stepaside gym and I have not been refunded yet

The gym is fine but the hours on Sunday are quite poor. Also about a third of the time I've been there, one of the treadmills wasn't working. If its super busy you might have to wait a while. Thats the one thing I use so it annoys me, but fine gym otherwise.

I notice the gym is these days cleaner that it used to be. I like when the music is not too loud.

The facility has everything you need and all at a very reasonable monthly cost in comparison to most other gyms , the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, all in all a stress free environment to work out .

A small gym with everything needed. Good vibe.
