Really disappointed at the service I received this morning when I went to the Durham branch. After walking into the show room I had to address the sales assistant who was sat at her desk. She replied to my good morning, and then went back to her computer, not offering any help. Another sales assistant then walked past and I had to ask if she worked there and could help me! She seemed surprised to be asked for help. I shared what I was looking for, a few options and told her I wanted to test drive a few cars. Neither of the women were forth coming and when I challenged them saying I’ve just told you I want to test drive a car and neither of you are helping. The second sales assistant advised she had a customer coming in so then asked the first assistant to which she responded with a blank, none responsive look. She said she had a customer coming in, in 40 minutes. I advised I was stood wanting to test drive and buy a car and neither of them were making any effort to help me. They could’ve offered for me to come back later to test drive, to wait etc but nothing they couldn’t have been less helpful if they had tried. I told them I’d go somewhere else to buy a car, which I did today. Wouldnt recommend or even bother going to the garage as it would appear they don’t want to sell cars.

Smooth, courteous service. Highly recommend both for car trade-in and purchase.

cheers for the used Focus EH. A relatively pleasant purchase experience... Josh knew what he was talking about, small talk included me trying to convince him to visit Scotland which I don't think he was having any of. I opted not to take any of the extras as I'd have been doubling up on a few things. I was interested in the extended warranty however wasn't able to purchase this as apparently it isn't offered on electric or MHEV vehicles. I wasn't offered any documentation or information regarding the standard 3 month warranty though that I.. think... I came away with, not sure about that. Anyway we discussed an MOT needed to be done as there was only 3 months left (EH don't sell used cars with less than 6 months MOT remaining). Agreed to pick car up day after MOT had been done.

Unfortunately the MOT hadn't been completed when I picked the car up, however I only learnt of this after driving the car away and calling to check. I must also apologise for bringing up the chip in the windscreen, appreciate this caused many an awkward moment on the phone and in person when I brought the car back in for the MOT. I'd also mentioned it in an email sent the morning after driving it away, however that was never answered despite receiving a reply stating an associate would get back to me soon. Ended up having to take annual leave to get the car back up for the MOT, but I guess that's what it's there for. I did manage to have a look around Dunelm for an hour though and eyed up some rather fancy looking pheasant themed paraphernalia.

Car performing great at the moment, although fuming at the fact there's no cd player. Re. the chipped windscreen, I'll get that sorted. Cracked (pardon the pun) open the piggy bank at the weekend and I think there's enough to cover the repair, so divvant you worry about it.

Went to look at a renault scenic and as soon as we saw it we decided to go ahead and buy it. The car was emaculate..we sat down with the salesman called jake mason who i must say is brilliant at his job, he was very pleasant and couldnt have been more helpful than he was..He looked at what we could afford each month and sorted out a great deal for us..He even managed to have everything ready the following day when we collected the car..we are so pleased with the car and i would recommend evans halshaw to anyone...thanks again jake for eveything you done

Jake was a fabulous salesman, it was love at first sight (the car, not Jake 😂) ... a couple of negatives - trying to get through to anyone on the phone was horrendous, phone just rang & rang, then went off ... the car could of been cleaner when we picked it up, especially as we paid extra for it to be GaurdX'd... saying that, we would definitely go back & loved the fact they were so dog friendly 💙 ... Thank you Evans Halshaw, I'm sure we're going to have many happy roadtrips

Found the vehicle we wanted on line went into Evans Halshaw and got all the help we needed from Jake who talked us through everything, valued our car arrange our new car to be delivered within days and kept us informed all the way. Jake was very helpful and friendly throughout the process would definitely go back there again

Have a part ex to put in but because I didn't want the guard x and customer pack as extras they didn't want to know complete waste of time
