Buying is easy and safe with Evoke
Buyer - bidding is easy and straight forward with e-mail updates. I was the highest bidder although i did not meet the reserve, however after a few telephone calls from Sarah my bid was accepted by the seller.
Joanne sorted the payment out and we went to collect and now we are driving around in a SLK200 Kompressor.

Very Poor
Evoke Classics helped a customer of theirs sell a car with issues but then refused to support the purchaser to resolve these. Not imprressed.
You have to have morals regardless if you can hide behind your numerous caveats that allow you to disengage from any responsibility.
The seller fitted a part incorrectly which meant the car vibrated heavily as soon as I drove it so he obviously would have known of an issue. He was going to contribute to the repair costs until Evoke got involved and advised him not to. They aren’t very trustworthy despite the image they try to create . Actions and words don’t match unfortunately.
The seller didn’t copy Evoke in on all emails but advised me about their advice to him. If Evoke we’re genuinely sorry they could have course refunded all / part of their commission, but they obviously weren’t that sorry . ( actions and words !)

The issue you raised related to the clutch had been discussed in detail with both yourself and the seller. The vendor, who carried out the clutch replacement, explained that he had driven the car extensively following the work and experienced no issues. At the time of sale, he genuinely believed the car to be in good driving order.
As a platform that connects buyers and sellers, we facilitated open dialogue between both parties and did our best to help reach an understanding. Unfortunately, despite those efforts, a resolution could not be agreed upon. We regret that the matter reached a stalemate, but given the circumstances and the nature of the sale, we were unable to take it further.
We appreciate your frustration and understand that these situations can be disappointing. While we do operate within clearly outlined terms, we always strive to act fairly and with integrity.

Definitely recommended
I have now sold two classic cars via Evoke. The hassle free way of selling, no tyre kickers or time wasters to deal with as per my previous experiences of trying to sell these cars. Good prices achieved and paid out on the day of sale. Yes, you pay a fee but I think it is well worth it to take away the aggravation of selling privately and as the cars achieved good sales prices it covered most of the fees anyway. If I come to sell another classic I would use Evoke again. The team are great to deal with.

Fantastic Auction House
Fantastic Auction House, due to health reasons I needed to sell my Daimler quickly, spoke originally to Sarah, who then organised Paul to visit me and take details and photographs/video, These were immediately passed to Joanne, who produced a great write up from Pauls notes and got it on webb site the next day.
Communication once sold, was fast and efficient.
This young company with its enthusiastic team with no Airs and Graces unlike some more established organisations, deserves to succeed, and I would advise anyone to use them. BA

After having second thoughts on transferring a sum of money without even viewing the car, Paul reassured me about the verification procedure when listing a car for sale and happy to proceed. Team were all helpful and dealt with the sale very efficiently. The car was exactly as described and would definitely recommend Evoke Classics as a great way to purchase.

Really happy with how Evoke Classics dealt with my car purchase. Fast communication back to me when my bid did not hit the reserve. AVOID please, worse than EBAY
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this auction site.
The people are friendly and helpful, but FUNDAMENTALLY - they are a non engaged 3rd party. They don't physically inspect or even verify the vendors accuracy on the listing. If I could turn back time and pull out of this transaction I would.
Paid top money for a car with a brand new MOT with a host of issues:
- front suspension is totally shot - £1500, question why this wasnt an MOT advisory.
- rear brakes (metal on metal contact), with caliper corroded full replacement - £900, question why this wasnt an MOT failure.
- Heating system doesnt work, not highlighted as an issue
- DASH LCD screen doesnt work, not highlighted as an issue
- Air compressor for suspension - on its last legs, not highlighted as an issue
- Air conditioning doesn't work, not highlighted as an issue - £600
- Engine oil leaks - everywhere, not highlighted as an issue, driveway full of oil
- service light on
- boot mouldy and clearly had a leak
- wheels unbalanced and not alighned
I'm left with a £5,000 bill for a £7,000 car.
BUT ITS SOLD AS SEEN, REMEMBER THAT. NOT SOLD AS DESCRIBED.

We’re sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your purchase. However, we would like to clarify a few important points:
Prior to completing the transaction, you personally viewed the vehicle and highlighted some of the concerns you have mentioned. At that time, yourself and Matt discussed these issues openly, and you were given the clear option to withdraw from the purchase should you have had any reservations. Despite this, you chose to proceed with the purchase following the vehicle being put through an MOT.
As an auction platform, we do indeed facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers and, as communicated, we do not physically inspect every vehicle, but do discuss the vehicles in detail to understand the condition of the vehicle.
We do feel it is also important to stipulate that we operate no differently to any other auction house in that vehicles are sold on a "sold as seen" basis. Even so, we would be extremely surprised if any other auction house would offer buyers the opportunity to pull out of a sale after winning a vehicle, as we did in this case, especially as you had viewed the vehicle prior to completing the sale.
We appreciate your comments and will continue to do everything we can to ensure that buyers are well-informed and feel confident when making decisions.
