Good prices. However, when a reel failed, I took it apart to grease as I thought this was the issue. It turned out that the internals had broken. returned it and was told that I had breached the warranty rules. No sympathy, no empathy, just hid behind the "rules". I'd never shop there again

Ordered a Rod in January for my husband. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances he couldn't get to use it until last weekend (April). The rod was actually faulty which was no ones fault. Emailed through and another is being delivered with no questions asked.
Amazing customer service. Shout out to Nick who has handled my order and return with professionalism. Will definitely be using this service again.

I spent £2700.00 on a pair of binoculars from Glasgow angling centre to try and find out if they could source some eye cups for the same binoculars . Kept me waiting on the phone no offer to call me back and basically said if I’m not willing to wait on the phone then tough. The person I spoke to was rude and extremely unhelpful and after spending £2700.00 at their shop the customer service is non existing. Disgusting so avoid purchasing anything from these people.

Dealt with this store many times . They are fantastic.

Ordered a paid of stockingfoot chest waders a few weeks ago which arrived and all good. On first wear there were numerous small leaks all over the waders and a damp foot. Second wear still numerous small leaks and very wet foot. Sent them back to Glasgow Angling and have just received a note that foot leak was not under warranty as say that there was non manufacturing fault for the hole in the foot and they did not check all the other issues. So they are returning the waders which are not fit for use. Cannot understand how a hole can appear with so little wear and they had not checked the other faults. Very poor process and will not be using them again. See I am not the only one!

They advertise that they will match compititors prices. The reality is slightly different. I found two items which I wanted to add to an order I was about to place with Glasgow Angling that was already well over £50 so would qualify for free postage. I asked Glasgow Angling if they would price match and I got an e-mail back saying firstly that they won't match a price for the item I had found on e-bay, even though the item I had seen cheaper was new and from a recognised on-line fishing shop. But most annoying was for the other item they said they would match the compititors price but charge £6 for postage. I was one surprised why they would charge me postage for this item when I had already ordered other items from Glasgow Angling which meant I qualified for free postage and two the actual postage charged by the compititor on checking was £2 and not £6. So I've no idea where they got that sum from. Glasgow Angling then agreed I could have the item at the compititors price with the additional £2 postage. By now fed up arguing I said fine and asked they send me instructions how to get the reduced price and then heard nothing back. Unlikely to be using them in future

Worst customer service I have ever known. I returned an item which they first lied about receiving, when I proved they had received the returned item they said there was nothing wrong with it and refused to return my money and then banned my phone number from ringing them. I can't speak for everyone that works there but I can speak for Robert who is very rude , a lier and just a horrible man.

Do not use this company most unhelpful promised despatch then said I’d only used standard delivery ….wanted to charge £12 for express….set of bandits AVOID

Used to be good. Have spent a lot of money with them over the years. This will now cease as they really don’t care if your goods arrive or not. Once they have your money.

Called the store for advise on the best sea fishing rods and reel to buy for beginner's.
I explained that I'd identified a reel on Amazon and immediately the person said he hadn't got the time to explain anything about their products because I would just buy from Amazom. He went on to say that the Amazon products were fake!!
It is very silly to assume that someone intends to purchase something from elsewhere, people don't call for fun!!!
Very negative attitude and just lost a poterntial customer!!!

Wanted 3xMitchell mx6 7000 reels, had been let down by previous shop as unable to get them after telling me in stock over a month ago. Rang Glasgow Angling on the Saturday about 4pm they told me had them in stock placed order and paid for them. Received email on Sunday pm to say been despatched they arrived at my home on the Tuesday lunchtime.
Fantastic service, polite, friendly staff helpful and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again. First rate service, could not be improved.

Been going here for 15 years +. its the mecca of fishing shops in the glasgow area. staff are great. prices are great

Being new to fishing in Scotland I needed a supplier who could supply all my sea fishing needs. I have bought a lot of gear off them in the past months and have received all orders promtly and in order and will continue to use them for all my future fishing gear

Terrible customer service!!!
Purchased guideline chest waders end of February to begin with to arrive home half an hours drive from the shop to find they had sent me away with a box with small welly boots inside!, not the waders!,fishing the next morning and no waders for a river trip salmon fishing!, not a great start!!!
after finally going back to collect the waders and return welly’s, i used the waders once, light wading to ankles etc feet felt a bit damp, put it down to cold wet day and my imagination but on the 2nd use of them wading to waist on the Tay my left leg was leaking and foot soaking and legs, and right leg damp, clearly leaking!.
Called Glasgow angling centre customer service and asked how I go about returning as don’t know if find receipt.
Was told after asking him to check rewards card account “oh, you never said u have a rewards card!”!?.. “that’s fine bring them in and we will sort it”
Arrive at store few days later 6th April, to be told they are damp and we can’t check them!!
Think the customer service representative should have noted this to me on the call so I never wasted an hrs round trip for absolutely nothing!!!
Was told they will not swap till they are checked over to leave waders and they will not make the swap leaving me again with no waders for a trip on Saturday!!!
No acceptance that that are messing me about with no info about how they want them returned!! Hence the reason I called in the first place to check all was ok to return and not told please make sure they are completely dry on return!! Wasted time and wasted 2 days fishing now and not a care, never mind the fuel and costs of an hrs round trip each time!!!
Terrible customer service and this should be looked at and changes made to how you inform customers of returns acceptance standards, especially when customers call to find out!!! Don’t say afterwards as the duty manager says “it’s on the website!”

I've brought a few products on Glasgow angling centre everything has arrived in new condition, undamaged and at a lower price than competitors. However, if you're not on the mainland the postage can be a little steep. Last night I sent a email about my most recent purchase and got a reply within 24 hours, They said it will take 2-3 days to dispatch but got done that day.
