Amazing experience with the Garden Plants Online team. I was updated throughout the entire process and delivery was a lot sooner than I imagined as I had ordered quite a range of plants.

I was a bit nervous that the delivery was going to be left on the kerb side as outlined in the delivery email, as we were out on the morning of delivery. But the delivery driver brought them up onto our front garden to ensure they were safe, which really exceeded my expectations!

All plants are in great shape and way bigger than I had imagined. I'm really excited to start working on my rainforest! One thing was missing from the order but that was resolved instantly with a quick call, and then the team followed up on next steps via email with me within 5 mins.

I was a little hesitant having read some of the mixed reviews, but overall 10/10 experience and I already have my next basket full ready to go lol.

They do not deliver when they estimate. Read the reviews - I wish I had. If you don't mind this then go ahead. I had a large order (more than £1k), with at least 2 emailed estimates of a delivery date. This date is clearly not going to happen - took me 3 calls on the same day to finally get a "confirmed" delivery date way after my already estimated ones. Having read the reviews, I couldn't even trust this. Meanwhile, through this, I could have ordered the same plants on their site with the same quick delivery date - clearly not possible. There are companies simply importing from EU sites (Italy/Holland) like this one (they do NOT have a UK nursery as they admitted to me), but the others give you proper delivery dates. This doesn't - read the reviews and don't order if you want the plants in a time frame. I have noticed that their responses to feedback are quite "rude" - so take what they write with a pinch of salt. Order 92145 Cancel and Refund Confirmation. Have just read their reply, which has given me a good laugh, thank you. They say I do not understand the word "estimate" - they don't, as their "estimate", given in separate updated order info to me, would be impossible for them to achieve. It is therefore not an "estimate" but a lie. And, as I said, I could have still ordered the same plants with the same impossible "estimate". Read the reviews and their rude replies before you order anything. I can "estimate" that the world will end in 8 days but I cannot "estimate" that it ended yesterday. (There are numerous inaccuracies in their reply which I won't bore you with - for example, that I initially called to delay my delivery as I was going to be away and then discovered that my "estimate" was never going to happen.) Take care everyone and continue loving plants!
Sorry just read their second reply and have to say something. They are being misleading/dishonest. I had to speak to them 3/4 times to get a delivery date - after "Michael" had said it would be sometime next week - eventually he said date today or tomorrow. That date was not their "estimate" which they clearly couldn't do. It took me 3 emails (15th, 17th and 23rd) and at least one phonecall to cancel my order. And yes, the plants I wanted, bar one, are already in the ground from reliable nurseries.
Wow, they have posted another reply, very selective in the info they have provided. Missing that they were still saying "estimated" delivery was before 20th April, that they would not give me proper estimated dates of delivery until after I had asked several times, etc, etc. And a private email saying the following. All they had to do was to be honest about delivery timing.

You are being rude and unreasonable. You placed your order for large amount, we ordered all of your plants from Italy, paid for plants, paid for transport and you decided to cancel your order and go to buy from someone else. This can only be called as disgrace!



Now we stuck with your plants for £1057, we can not return them back to Italy and we do not have any other customers who can buy them because they are not our regular stock and after all of that you dare to leave nasty reviews about our business on Trust Pilot????



You are disgrace! I honestly wish you lost £1000 of your own money elsewhere, the same way like you treating small businesses. It is hard times to earn money and pay all the bills. You could’ve treated like this large corporations – they would not notice, but it is affecting our business and people who do hard work working for us.

I spoke to a darling office lady named Shauna who provided me with helpful information before i make my second purchase. She kindly offered me a hefty discount as i made an order of acacia dealbata with GPO in the past which were super girthy and look incredible in my little oasis. Reliable, darn good specimens as well as customer service and a blooming lovely website to navigate. Yes GPO, so awesome!

Good communication, good tree, it came from Italy so took a little time but was worthwhile, prompt response to emails, would definitely recommend.

A couple of months ago, I ordered a 10-litre Hakonechloa Macra (Japanese Forest Grass), order number 91267. After the stated delivery timeframe had passed, I called and spoke with Megan, who explained the plant was not sufficiently grown to send and did not resemble the website image.

I initially accepted this, but later requested the refund Megan had offered. She advised this had to be done by email, which I sent promptly. I was told the refund would be processed and in my account by the end of that week.

Over two weeks later, no refund has been received. I called again this morning and was told the manager was unavailable, but that the refund would now be actioned.

My main concern is the lack of proactive communication, as I have had to chase this repeatedly. I also do not understand why the website did not clearly state a realistic delivery timeframe (for example, “delivery in May or June”), as many reputable retailers do.

Given the cost of these plants, I am increasingly concerned about whether I will receive my refund and will consider further steps if this is not resolved promptly.

Ordered some terracotta window boxes from here for my narrow bay window ledge. Very happy with them- they are very attractive and are good quality. Shipping was very communicative. Would buy from this company again

We placed a significant plant order with this company, specifying clear requirements on both quantity and sizing ahead of delivery. Unfortunately, the order arrived incomplete, with only approximately half of the plants supplied.

In addition to this, the plants that were delivered did not meet the agreed specification in terms of size, despite this being clearly outlined prior to ordering.

Since raising the issue, we have found the response and resolution process disappointing. The missing plants have not been supplied and a refund for the undelivered items has not been issued and no refund has been given.

As a business, this has resulted in unnecessary cost, disruption to programme, and avoidable delays on a live project.

Based on this experience, we would advise others to proceed with caution and look else where.

Super happy - we just ordered the same again!

Good quality plants/trees looked healthy and looked after. Communication could be better delivery email stated delivery date as 15/04/2026 between 9am-11am however they were delivered on 14/04/2026 sometime in the afternoon and just left in drive and I’d organised my working week around the confirmed delivery date. Not the end of the world but inconvenient as I had to move them to the back garden in the dark and rain on my own as I didn’t want to leave them unattended overnight but on 15th I’d pre arranged help to move it all and to work from home. Just to be notified of a change of delivery date would have been courteous.

Excellent quality plants in good healthy condition. I highly recommend Garden Plants online.

What a fantastic addition to my garden. Super healthy specimen and already sprouting new growth after just a couple of planted days. Absolutely delighted. Won’t be looking anywhere else for my next plants.

Online ordering process was good. Communication was a little over the top with numerous emails telling me pretty much the same thing. Plant was delivered a day earlier than stated but fortunately I was at home to water and plant the most pot bound and dried up plant I have seen. Luckily it is a drought tolerant plant and will hopefully pick up now it is in the ground

Very pleased with our photonia tree. We were kept informed on when to expect delivery. Tree arrived on time and in good condition. Great service.
