I don't know why gcash is having so much bad review here, but as far as my experience, it's all good, as long as you know the basics how to secure your gcash account, your good.

They have no useable Help system. Yor first contact id an AI bot that runs you in circles. The net level that's unbelievably and unnecessarily complicated.

I've been sending ticket yesterday for my refund because I send money and the receiver didn't receive. I also give proof of my transaction but until now they didn't give back my money and update me about my concern..

I had trouble with my account having unrecognized transactions. I ask for their assistance about the matter, and hoping to have my account checked if it has not been compromised.
All they did is send a message saying 'we will now forward it to the right department'.

How funny, that is all they can do. Sending an automated or a rehearsed response.

It’s not trusted and the agents are like robots, I have a serious problem that my money is floating until now. Like I transfer a money to a bank yet they haven’t resolved yet. I request them to cancel the transaction but agent can’t be reached

Ate my 300 pesos that was supposed to be a top up, I topped up 3 times on different times, Each had the same response. "Error You need to send another transaction" or something along with the lines of that. Have recieve the first hundred, At first It was fine for me but when it happened alot more I was so pissed. It's straight up thefth in broad daylight. Can I sue the company for this shit? Tell me please so I can press charges. Thank you. ( I Have all evidence on my side.)

Worst customer service and incompetent technical team. More than 2 weeks had pass by they can't resolve the issue I had encountered which I can't receive otp, just like other users of gcash is encountering.

Worst customer service. Asked for a one time courtesy but no helped. CSR is unwilling to find options. Jesus!

STAY AWAY FROM GCASH IF YOU CAN!
I recently sent a significant amount of money to my mother; however, the funds were directed to an outdated SIM card to which we no longer have access. Upon contacting GCash for assistance, I was informed that I needed to transfer the funds to a new fully verified GCash account. This is where the problems began.

GCash has encountered numerous issues with the verification process. Despite our efforts to complete the verification at least fifteen times, the account remains unverified. We have submitted copies of my mother's passport and driver's license via email, yet it is apparent that there is a lack of expertise among the customer service representatives. The level of efficiency experienced thus far has been highly unsatisfactory, and I have encountered some of the worst customer service in my experience. It is concerning that the agents seem unable to resolve what should be a straightforward issue.

It has now been two months, and the situation continues to remain unresolved.

No customer service. Endless forms and pictures required. To delete the account requires even more info. So frustrating that I just deleted the app and will NEVER use gcash. Horrible experience and waste of time (3 weeks and still not verified!!). All I get is generic response that doesn't address what the issues are... good bye gcash!!!

I lost about 400 dollars over the past 3 month sending money to my wifes gcash account. She has contacted support and was told they will send to her account and did not do anything. She is in Malaysia working and from the Philippines I am in Canada and have no other way to send her money but to her gcash about one out of every three times I send it fails. Be warned gcash is a very poor service you would be better off not using their services

The GCash apps sucks big time. Whoever did this apps shouldn’t be called apps designer or whatever.
Verification process is the worst of all time!!! Just taking selfies says I have to try again and again after 24 hrs!!

My wife and I recently moved to the Philippines and we had just got local phone numbers. We then signed up for GCash, thinking that we could use it to pay for things like our cell service, etc. We put a little cash in, using a kiosk, and all went well. We then paid for a cell phone load with no issues. We then decided, since it worked well, that we would put in some more cash at the kiosk. My wife's cash went in ok and it was visible in her account. The kiosk took my cash, but it did not register in my account. I took the receipt to a Globe representative, since the kiosk was located at a Globe store. They put in a ticket for me. I tried endlessly to get updates on the ticket, and then i was finally locked out of my account. Shortly thereafter, my wife was locked out of her account. We tried to contact GCash, but they do not have REAL customer service. Nobody to call and speak with. No office to visit. Just a virtual assistant that is virtually useless. Their call center voice prompt tells you to log into your account to make another ticket, but we can't get into our accounts. Whenever we tried to use the virtual assistant, they tell us that the information we provided does not match our accounts. That is just FALSE. It is a never-ending loop of frustration. We even tried to do cash out at some of their alleged cash out partners. Most told us they only do cash in (of course they do), while others told us their systems were "down". Very convenient. It seems that they excel at cash in, but not so much at cash out. This has been going on for well over a month, and I am about resolved to the fact that GCash has stolen our money. There seems to be no way to recover it. Use cash or credit card to make purchases in the Philippines and save yourself some headaches...and some money.
UPDATE:
We finally got someone to try to do a cashout today and we were told that our accounts were "blacklisted". What dod we do to deserve that? Great scam that they have going on there. Just beware. Those of you who are thinking that you have never had a problem with GCash, that's fine. But when something does go wrong, your money will likely be lost.

There was a fraudulent charge in my Gcash account so I thought of transferring the remaining money to my bank account. When I opened the Gcash app and asked for an OTP, the OTP came in after 10 hours. This app has a lot of problems and it's also difficult to create a ticket which is required if you're asking for help. 2025 please give the Philippines a better wallet app and Gcash to close, thank you!
