Returned a faulty shoe to Norman at Blackburn store who was both friendly and helpful.

Spoke to Norman at Blackburn. Very knowledgeable and gave great advice on shoes and rucksacks. Brilliant.

I was served by Norman today he was very helpful and brought my required size of shoe from the back and then pointed me in the direction of the waterproofing wash that i was looking for Thankyou!

We have been customers of Go Outdoors for many years and we have never experienced such dismissive behaviour from the staff. We visited twice to view the tents before purchase. The tent field was closed on both occasions, the first time because it was raining and the second time for 'health and safety' apparently. Given we live in the UK, I imagine if it gets closed because it's raining, it isn't open much!

We chose a tent anyway (and some accessories), over £500 of gear and went to the tills. The girl serving was very polite and helpful - we couldn't fault her. Our issue was with the manager when we asked if we could speak to him.

Despite us explaining that my husband has limited mobility and we had travelled quite a distance to look at the tents, we were simply given a shrug.

We also had a 10% off code which did not say anywhere that it could only be used online, but we were told it could not be used. The manager of the Blackburn store could not have been less interested. No apology was given and he was extremely rude. Perhaps he could do with taking a leaf out of the young girl's book - she was streets ahead of him in terms of how you talk to customers.

Because of his rudeness, we decided to vote with our feet and we did not complete the purchase. We made a complaint to Go Outdoors' customer service who told us they would speak to the store and the store would contact us. We heard nothing. When I chased them, we were then told that they had closed the complaint.

What poor customer service, both from the manager at the Blackburn store and then from Go Outdoors as a whole. We will take our custom elsewhere in the future.

Norman was a great help he is a fountain of knowledge and more than happy to help

A wonderful experience in store! Norman was incredibly helpful, welcoming and truly inspirational, a real asset to the team. His positive attitude and genuine care made the visit memorable. A big thank you to Gee as well for the lovely service. Highly recommend!

We were assisted and served today by Caitlyn and I have to say what an absolute credit to the Go Outdoors team she really is!
Saved us so much time and along with her excellent product knowledge and experience made it where we came away with the exact clothing and equipment needed.

Was served by Paul S at the Blackburn branch.
My first time getting fishing gear in the middle of September. He really helped getting me started and giving me the stuff I need rather than all the fancy stuff. Held of with the review untill I tried everything and honestly had the best experience with the setup he gave be, even caught 8 carp on my first trip out on the weekend just gone so he did good 😁
Looking forward to my next trip this weekend with it all!!!

Staff member, Sue, was incredibly caring and supportive towards my father during our visit today.
She spotted him waiting for me and was concerned that he looked a little lost.

My father has early dementia and I was just bringing a trolly to him and noticed Sue talking to him.

This kind of attention and care for others is incredible and I can not thank her enough for checking in on him.

James the manager was so helpful I was feeling frantic about some hiking trainers and I did not have the receipt. He helped me sort it all out so much so I bought some other items and I will be back in 2027 for the new RAB jacket. 

Went to check the new Sweaty Betty stock and came away with some good buys. Thank you to Sue who helped me along the way!
