Up till this month I loved GreenJinn, having to change review to 3 stars as I have claimed money dating back two weeks that has not been paid and no replies to my requests to the help desk. Such a shame.

Update, finally had a reply on 30th, claims processed till 22nd August so I'm putting the rating back up to 4 stars.

I use the three main cashback apps, and Greenjinn has the best offers. I have used the app for over a year now and it is great!

However since the start of August things seem to have taken a (temporary?) turn for the worse: nobody replies to messages anymore, and payouts are taking longer. I will adjust the rating to 4 stars if and when things get better again, but as it is now receipts occasionally get rejected and there’s nothing you can do about it - an issue that was previously solved if you messaged them, even if it took a while.

Pros:
- The best deals out of all similar apps (ie. lots of items);
- You can cash out after only £1.50

Cons:
- No customer service anymore, so if your receipt is rejected that’s final (for now);
- Only certain branches will have the deals on offer;
- Randomly rejected receipts even when they are valid.

They seem to be working well again.

I have decided to stop using them for the time being. I need the service to be reliable and it just isn't at the moment. Too many excuses why they are failing to reply to queries. I hope they can sort themselves out and get back to offering the previously excellent service. Only time will tell.
I will read the reviews from others over the next few months to see if they get back to being their former excellent selves.
I still trust them to pay up as they have never let me down yet, but app messages to them are being lost and emails are not being replied to. It's been three weeks since my partner and I have messaged them about our two accounts. I never got a reply, but my partner did, with the promise that they aimed to respond within two days. That was the last time either of us heard from them about this. Both of us have sent emails to them since then, but still no reply of any kind.

There is hope.
My dad also has an account and the message sent via the app seems to have got lost. He sent an email ten days later and got a reply the same day asking for more info. He sent that after a few days and they needed a little more info before they can pay out, which was quite reasonable. That was sent two days ago. He is waiting a reply and I will update when he gets it.

Green Jinn were brill until August. Now slow payout in batches and no response to enquiries. Get ignored.
Are they having cashflow problem or very busy?
Beware but they may get things back on track, I hope so.

Update 22 August - cashback now appeared in account after 2 weeks

Used to be ok but awful now! Receipts keep getting rejected with them stating it’s an order confirmation only not a receipt! Even when it clearly states receipt at the top! Bit of a faff to submit receipt when it’s an online order as you need to print out (not very environmentally friendly and there’s costs of ink and paper!) then take a photo and submit. Surely there could be a way of attaching the receipt without the need to print it out! Contacted via app twice, email once and even via their Facebook messenger but no one ever replies! Useless!

They've stopped replying to emails (several weeks have passed without replies to my initial email and follow ups), so if you are chasing a missing or incorrect cashback claim, tough luck, cause you won't get anywhere.
To anyone aggrieved by them, I would suggest reporting them to Trading Standards (via CAB). If enough of us do it then they might take action.

Impossible to contact when theres an issue. My account got hacked and the email was changed to something obviously suspicious and after trying to contact customer service several times I have never even heard back.

Started off ok, but now I am waiting on four claims, it is ridiculous they are keeping my money and ignoring my emails, I am waiting for 4 payments now, it is ridiculous! I joined as I am trying to save money in these difficult times, I am disgusted with the way they have behaved, do not use!!

My first initial reaction to cash back offers was: “surely that’s a scam”. Well to all you sceptics out there, it’s not. GreenJinn is by far the most hassle free and fastest paying cash back app out there. I’ve made some incredible savings already which get paid directly into my bank account - no fees. The cash out is only at £1.50 minimum which you usually earn from a single transaction! Other apps this is as high as £25 to claim without any fees. Whilst a lot of the offers are tailored to vegetarians/vegans you can still find a huge selection of things you can try for free. So it’s a win win. GreenJinn is all about shopping sustainably, it’s allowed me to try organic products without paying the extra price for it. The customer service is always excellent, whether that’s to resolve an issue or to give praise. You always feel like you have a response from a real person. I know this app is run by some passionate people who value sustainability and I shall continue to use this app until there are no more offers left :)

Cashback takes way too long, customer support is awful. Literally waiting over 6 weeks for some cashback after emailing 3-4 times. each time saying we will get in touch within 2 working days. Awful not worth it, too much hassle.

Zero customer service!
Emailed them three times since June regarding a request that the App failed to process, yet to receive any response.

update: got a reply in a month and all resolved.

I use several apps that require receipts to be uploaded, such as CheckoutSmart, Shopmium and the Amazon Shopper Panel, and rarely get any problems with receipts not uploading properly. It's a different case with GreenJinn, where the majority of receipts fail to upload, meaning you have to chase them. And the last few times there has been no response to my requests. I would strongly advise against using this app and if you do, only buy products that you would have purchased anyway.

I have just deleted the Green Jinn app due to zero customer service and if they carry on the way they are I think a lot of other people will as well! As others have mentioned on here and across all of Green Jinn social media the previous excellent customer service has now reduced to no emails being answered from any customers whether you email them through support@greenjinn or hello@greenjinn or through the ask genie facility on their web page or through clicking the link on action required! Recently I have had every other cashback request met with action required receipt didn't make it to our system. The last cashback request was the last straw when they failed to reply 7 times to me when I tried using all of the above methods. I think this is particularly appalling when they claim to be such an ethical company yet treat people like this in the middle of a cost of living crisis.

Used to be great but sadly recently the customer service has completely fallen off a cliff. No responses to emails now going back weeks. The girls are lovely who usually reply but clearly something has changed. The offers are great and I appreciate it's a free service however you need some support when things go wrong! A real shame.....hopefully it can get back to what it used to be and I'll happily change my review!!

Alyssa at GreenJinn dealt with the issue regarding my receipt being blurred very efficiently. I was very impressed with the excellent communication and how quickly this was resolved. Thank you!

I have been using GreenJinn since 2018 and could not be more pleased with this company & app. I check the offers weekly and almost always find a product I already buy, or am interested in trying. In all these years I have received a significant amount of cashback, which obviously is a great thing in itself. Recently, I had to contact CuSe due to one of my receipts not being transmitted correctly. I received an answer by email in the shortest time possible. My uploading/transmission challenge was dealt with quickly, efficiently and professionally by Alyssa and the cashback credited to my account.
I have no hesitation whatsoever to recommend GreenJinn, and in fact have a lot over the years. To GreenJinn - a recommend a friend button/referral bonus/freebie would be great to add to the app ;-)

Lots of useful freebies and money off items at supermarkets using their online coupons.

Claiming for your cash back at supermarkets is a relatively smooth and hassle-free process; after buying the item on offer, just select/add the item on the app, then take a photo of the supermarket receipt then send. Payout is reasonably quick also.

Customer service is great too. I had an issue where a claim was rejected in error, and I emailed their customer support email address to query in issue and the response was in minutes rather than days. Alyssa dealt with my query quick and efficiently and my £2 was credited to my account. Thanks again 👍🌝
