Called GRS Recovery on a recommendation to have my car recovered after it broke down.

Called Saturday morning just after 9. Was told that they would be there to recover the car in an hour to an hour and a half. I was also told that they would contact me about 30 minutes beforehand so I wasn't standing around waiting unnecessarily.

To make a long story short, they never called. I ended up chasing them several times for updates. I waited by the car for over an hour and finally had to give up. They were somewhat apologetic but despite their assurances that "he'll be there in 15 minutes" they finally admitted that I'd been given the run-around and that they wouldn't be able to recover the car until 1pm which was 4 hours and not the 90 minutes they promised.

Wouldn't use them again nor recommend.

This is my first contact with GRS recovery and I was blown away with the helpfulness, knowledge and professional attitude of James, who came out promptly and quickly identified the root cause of a complex problem with my car. I couldn't have been more impressed, thank you James - and GRS.

Will (from Poole/Bournemouth branch) came to the rescue to recover my Renault Clio last night - and he did a superb job.

The car was in a pretty dangerous place, the police stopped a lane a traffic and will loaded the Clio within 5 mins.

James came to the rescue today and didn’t only sort the car out, but also went right out his way to make sure I had the correct part and could get back to driving my car on the same day! Was really, really pleased by his service, which remained professional and friendly. He was evidently incredibly knowledgeable in his field, and had the car running again perfectly. Thanks James!

I think it was James ( smallish guy with a ponytail ) who attended my non starting Citroen in Branksome Park at the garages round the back. He was friendly, knowledgeable, made everything seem as if it wouldn't be a problem and we'd be on our way soon, he was right ! .... my fault for trying g to jump start it, he put his computer on it, got some power onto the battery, and cleared the fault codes in order to get to start, professional from start to finish, even called later to check everything was good, top bloke, 5 star service.

We had GRS sent to us through our recovery policy. Brilliant service, we were kept in touch all the way. Friendly mechanic who explained everything he was doing and the car was back on the road. (We were in a field after a festival!)
Felt secure and comfortable throughout the whole experience.

Hi I was extremely satisfied with the service I had from GRS today (Sunday 20/9/20).The controller kept me informed of the mechanics progress,who was stuck in traffic, When James arrived ,in less than an hour, he very quickly diagnosed the fault which was the engine would not start.He carried out a series of tests to confirm that the battery was completely knackered.He didn’t carry the particular battery I needed, but managed to start the car and I was able to drive to buy a new battery.Thanks guys I will recommend you to everyone. James even phoned me later to make sure everything was OK he is a star.

Hi there, I just wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to your mechanic James Parker for getting my 1968 Porsche 912 going again on Saturday last (22nd August). James arrived in good time and fixed the problem in what seemed like 5 minutes, even followed me down the road to ensure everything was running smoothly and safely. A real enthusiast and I have to say a real asset to your company.

My car wouldn't start this morning in Todmorden. A flat battery. Within half an hour there was a knock on the door and within another half hour my car was running again and I was off to buy a new battery. Great, friendly service and a very quick response time. Impressive.

Jason! What a brilliant bloke who went out of his way to ensure that we were safe and well looked after. I could not have asked for a better experience and what started off as a nightmare day - ended up to be an enriching experience. So good to see good old fashioned down to earth service. Highly, highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic, was not sure what to expect when I had to have my BMW recovered due to a faulty starter motor. The service was excellent so much care taken of my car down to making sure the wheels were not curbed when loading nothing was taken for granted recovery vehicle moved to get in line with my car twice. Very friendly driver, just great all round customer service. Thank you GRS I would not hesitate to recommend you.

Could not have asked for a better service from GRS. Adrian picked me and my car up from the side of the duel carriageway after my headlights blew out. Very professional and friendly service. Was taken to their HQ where Gary made me a coffee and sorted a courtesy car. My car was delivered to my house the following day.
