You cannot change your email address

You cannot change your email address for Halfords Motoring Club. Waste of time entering details as they are now all lost. I am concerned about potential security breaches on my old email. Halfords complaints line is an automated system that hangs up on you. Glad I am only on the free subscription.

Motoring Club is a scam

Motoring Club is a scam! It advertised two checks per membership term, I only had MOT and service and was unable to get a fee checkup done let alone two! Contacted support I availed free MOT so I can’t have free checks???? But that was including MOT, then I cancelled membership! I received offer via login to say Black Friday offer renew membership! I logged onto my free membership account, toggle button was there to avail membership for £44 for another year! Paid for all, then membership didn’t activated! Called customer service, they told me it was for new customers, yet it was on my login! Then I joined by new- mail, it was charging £54. So it’s all scam! Pay £54 for MOT or have membership paid for £54 and get MOT free! Motoring club is a scam, however, Halfords in itself not bad

I cancelled my membership several weeks…

I cancelled my membership several weeks ago and received a email from Halfords confirming that cancellation. However today I noticed a withdrawal transaction in favour of £54.00. My bank investigated and it was the Motoring Club subscription. A refund has been processed but it could take up to 7 days to receive! I’ve no doubt if I hadn’t noticed the transaction I would never have got a refund! Just watch them!

Not worth it

As people have put the ability to cancel is quite frankly shameful and boarding illegal in certain countries. There are no options to do it online and you can only call a number or essentially apply to cancel which is an absolute joke.
Once you get the email from them it then ASKS if you want to cancel and if you don't reply soon enough they go back pretending you never wanted to leave!
On top of this you get replies that are passive aggressive from the reps (wow) and them trying to charge you.

The benefits are incredibly small in getting this and the cons when you try to leave are disgraceful.

Scam?

Halfords clearly make it as difficult as possible to cancel motoring club memberships. What an awful policy for a company to have. It's a blatant scam.

You're not a customer, you're a captive. Every avenue you try leads you knowhere. You can't cancel auto-renew. The links you are provided with give you 403 errors, which means they are denying you access to the webpages you're trying to get to.
They have a continuous payment authority which means your bank will keep paying them when they request it. So now you also have to contact your bank to get that stopped because people have had their cancelled memberships mystically renewed, allegedly.

Might be a profitable business model, but really Halfords? Shame on you.

Op het zelfde datum heb ik verkeerd besteld bij Halfords
Ik wil deze bestelling opnieuwe ZSM annuleren Deze bestelling is nog niet verwekt in jullie systeem dus betaling status met achteraf Billink staat steeds geopend om extra kosten te voorkomen ik verzoek Halfords fiets in Hilversum deze per direct te aanleren en doorgeven naar Billink als bestelling geretourneerd is want die klant heeft deze op het zelfde datum doorgeven dat deze vekeerd was besteld

Don't get caught by the con at the till. I was never told it was a 12 month contract and reading other reviews looks like I’ll have to cancel my bank card to terminate this membership which will be annoying. If not get in touch with my bank to maybe stop payments.

Retouren gaat erg moeizaam

2 fietsen besteld verkeerde maat eigen schuld natuurlijk ! Retouren gaat erg moeizaam de kosten hiervan zijn voor jezelf en je moet het zelf regelen. voor zulke grote pakket vind ik dit niet gepast en niet klantvriendelijk, je word hier verder ook niet mee geholpen.

Whatever you do not join the premier motor club over priced and can never get a slot for work after your mot what a joke then when you want to cancel they make it impossible when you air your upset call centre just goes on about the benefits with no solution

Dakdragers besteld. Zaten niet stevig. Aangemeld voor retour, gaat eerst een week overheen voor je hoort waar je ze naar terug kan sturen. Deze kosten zijn ook weer voor jezelf, nadat je al €10 verzendkosten moest betalen. Na een week heb je dan nog steeds geen reactie of je geld terug. Mensen, wees verstandig, koop in een normale winkel, geen wonder dat die er niet meer zijn van Halfords. Je krijgt gewoon geen reactie en geld terug! Zelfs een halve ster is al teveel

Jammer dat je een ster moet geven liever helemaal niks.
2 maanden geleden mijn lease fiets daar gebracht moest nieuwe motor in.
Nog steeds niet terug schandalig.
Ook geen leenfiets want die hebben ze niet.
Nooit daar meer leasen.

Don't join the motoring club - they make it so hard to leave

Today was my second attempt to cancel my membership. I will only be able to do this 30 days prior to my renewal and by contacting them.

So I am responsible for cancelling when they tell me I can and I have to waste my time contacting them. Ridiculous.

'Olivia' in customer service sent me a ton of t&c's to justify why they don't offer a 'turn off renewal' option - none of which were relevant.

Don't join. If you do, use a temporary debit card and cancel it so you don't get caught.

Je kan overal terecht met garantie…waardeloos halfords

Je kan overal terecht met garantie service klacht.niet dus wordt van het kastje naar de muur gestuurd.Zowel het hoofdkantoor winkel in breda.Sneek en noem maar op niemand komt met een oplossing.
Gaat om aangekochte bird bike van iets meer als 2 jaar oud.waarvan de accu op leven na dood is wat normaal gesproken niet zo mogen na 530km op de teller.Wettelijk moet eem accu 4 a 5 jaar meegaan bij normaal.gebruik dus is er naar mijn inziens recht op wettelijke coulance met betrekking reparatie of een nieuwe accu.
Maar helaas als het geld binnen is houd de service op
Dus een waardeloos bedrijf halfords.
Een goede winkel valt en staat met goede service voor alle consumenten ook voor jullie die voor halfords werken.

Onbereikbaar klantenservice!

Een bestelling wat door Halfords is verzonden met DHL is niet aangekomen. Hierop heb ik met DHL contact opgenomen. DHL meent dat de zending wel correct was afgeleverd. Maar ik noch mijn buren hebben iets ontvangen. Handtekening van ontvangst is ook niet van mij. Sinds 15 april 2025 probeer ik contact te leggen met Halfords, maar niemand geeft thuis. Omdat het een online bestelling is, kunnen de fysieke winkels mij niet helpen. Echt een waardeloze klantenservice! Hier bestel ik nooit meer wat.

Slechte service en klanten benadering in deze winkel(Zoetermeer) , ik wou graag een fiets kopen voor mijn dochter ze konden niet reserveren voor 2 uurtjes . Mogelijkheid is wel betalen vooraf en erna retourneren. Mocht het niet passen kwa formaat
