We recently moved into a new office in central London and needed some odd jobs to be done. We are extremely happy with the service provided by The HandySquad.
Nicholas was amazing, he provided excellent service and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. He was friendly, helpful and professional.

Still a very good service
I have used Handy Squad before but not for some years. I am glad to say they are still as efficient and helpful as ever.
Radek arrived promptly, was polite and patient. The item that he was to help me with, wasn't ready, so he was happy to find some other bits to do while he waited.
Everything was done to a high standard and swiftly, in fact the final charge was less than was originally quoted!
Would definitely use them again.

We are a small Yoga studio who require a lot of regular maintenance jobs. We are extremely happy with the service provided by The HandySquad.
Professional, punctual, efficient and polite, we couldn't ask more from the team.
We would like to give a special mention to Nicholas who not only provided excellent service, but who went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. He was friendly, helpful and ready to answer any questions we had.
This is a quality service, we have used a number of companies in the past but this one we will be sticking with.

Great for wide variety of tasks
Have used a few times now for jobs ranging from plumbing to furniture assembly to picture hanging. Great to be able to have a list of different jobs undertaken by one person during one session which can be booked to fit in with full-time work. Most recently, Nicholas was excellent at furniture assembly and meticulous applying privacy film to windows. Booking is easy and pricing transparent.

Unfair booking system promotes need for expensive revisit
The plumber sent by the Handy Squad did not deal with the issues that I had booked them for. Despite explaining the exact job required (including photos of the problem) I was charged for two hours work where the plumber did not attempt to undertake the requested task and was instead given a quote for the job to take a further 3 hours at an overpriced amount. It was cheaper and quicker for my husband to undertake the work himself even though he had no plumbing experience and needed to buy some specialist plumbing tools. The handy squad use a system where you are booked in for a two hour slot and will not complete the job if the tradesman thinks it may take slightly longer when they arrive on site, even though they had a full description prior to booking. I feel as though the Handy squad rely on public who do not have any understanding of plumbing and take advantage of a system where you book hourly appointments to push expensive return visits.
I made a verbal complaint by phone which was ignored and so followed up with a written complaint requesting a refund (full or partial). I was offered £50 to be offset against the 2nd quoted price for fixing the copper elbow. I declined this offer as this would still make the work incredibly overpriced if undertaken by the handysquad. I believe that it was unfair for a qualified plumber to have viewed the photo I provided and to allocate a 2 hour appointment window which they subsequently felt the job could not be completed in; I question the ability of the qualified plumber if this job could then be done by a non-professional in less time.

Firstly, many apologies for our late response to your review. However you look at it, we have clearly fallen short of your expectations in this matter and we are very sorry for that. We would just like to answer a few criticisms, however, given that while things did not go to plan in this case, we do not ever seek to mislead our customers. Firstly, our prices are clear and transparent on our website and are also communicated verbally at the time of booking. Our booking agents will estimate from their experience and the information available how long the visit should take. Photos are very useful and we appreciate you sending us some, but they cannot necessarily tell the whole story, particularly in plumbing matters, which is why the tradesmen always have to reassess the issue when they see it in the flesh.
Unfortunately, it was not possible in your case to lengthen the visit as the schedule was very full that day, so a longer return visit was proposed. We would never, as you appear to suggest, deliberately book a visit time that we knew to be too short in order to have an excuse to book in a further visit. Firstly, this would be dishonest, but also would make no sense financially. Travel time, fuel costs etc are a cost to us for every visit we make, so it makes much more sense for us to complete the work in one visit if at all possible. The issue with plumbing work is that if you start a job, but leave it incomplete due to lack of time, you risk leaving a customer without the use of a sink / loo / dishwasher etc. until the work can be completed.
Be all this as it may, we clearly did not explain the situation well enough and our overall service fell below our high standards and we apologise once again for this.

Happy repeat customer
I’ve used HandySquad several times for “little jobs” that are beyond my DIY skills, most recently they repaired a chair whose leg had split in half and fallen off, and an ottoman who’s hinges had come loose. Booking process was very easy, Bill arrived on time, with an enthusiastic , can-do attitude, did the job effectively and without leaving any mess. I find it’s a really good service to deal with domestic niggles quickly and easily.

The Handy Squad provides a professional service for a fair price. They are very transparent about their prices. They undertake a wide range of jobs including odd jobs, plumbing, electrics, etc. If you have a list of odd jobs you need doing, you should call them.

Great and reliable service
The electrician was very professional, punctual and clean. He made sure he wiped every bulb and piece of glass of my ceiling lights and left not a single fingerprint anywhere. He was attentive to detail and I was very happy with the service.

Booking the appointment was easy and it was very helpful to be given a 1 hour time slot. The contractor turned up on time and was polite, helpful and very professional. He managed to disconnect a waste disposal unit as well as carrying out a couple of very small carpentry type jobs.

A satisfied customer, again.
I have used The Handy Squad on three separate occasions and have never been disappointed. The booking process is easy and reliable: charges are clearly set out before each job and my preferred dates and times have been accommodated. On this latest occasion, Bill arrived on time and quickly and efficiently carried out some small tasks (changing a door bell and installing a couple of smoke alarms); beyond that, he was friendly and pleasant.
