The Porters Neck location in Wilmington has some of the best employees working at their deli. I go there every other Friday for a fresh submarine sandwich. Never disappointed!!!

I have worked in IT in the past for a…
I have worked in IT in the past for a very large international grocery chain. So I get how the industry works - who the players are; how brands are consolidated, sold, and retired; and the markets addressed for a full basket shop. I get the business.
What I don't understand is why Harris Teeter hires young high school/summer college help and leaves them on their own without any experienced supervision. Case in point....I like Harris Teeter's wing options from Smart Chicken. Best wings in my city because they are air cooled, not submerged in cold water tanks. This is a different conversation....But today floored me...I wanted to buy multiple Cajun flavored wings boxes for $6.00 for 24 ounces. But there was only one in the case already packed, so I went to the meat counter to get another one. The wings in the case are $3.99 a pound, the pre-packs are $6.00 at 24 ounces. So I asked for another one from the untrained person at the meat counter. This is simple math....24 ounces is a pound and a half so it would be $6.00. This was not the case, I was refused by this person. They said they could only give me a box after they were a day old....confusing moving them to the meat shelf in the pre-packed box from the meat counter. I tried to explain, but they were steadfast and refused again.
The fact that they put this person on the meat counter at 5:00 pm on a Monday evening when the store is busy from people heading home from work is surprising. But the more I thought of it, this location utilizes inexperienced young workers more than other stores I visit in the chain. Although it is a few minute longer drive, I am now resolved to avoid this store. What are they thinking?

Very disappointed with their price gouging. Every time I shop the sale items I have found that they mark the item up to mark it to sale price which is really the original price from prior weeks. I know this as two months ago I started taking pictures. It happens on their coffee, on the Lindt candy bars, and several frozen foods. I won't shop them anymore going to go to Publix...
Harris Teeter #319 2051 Millbrock rd
Harris Teeter #319 2051 Millbrock rd. Raleigh, NC. Store manager… Mr. Long.
Stop at the fish counter today (in case you’re unaware on the back of the price tags of the fish is a last sale date that the fish should be sold.) Knowing this I ask the person what date was on the tag. He acted as if he had no idea what I was talking about, I asked to please turn the price tag around. He started was not going to do that, and do I want the fish or not. I didn’t buy it.?
It was amazing
It was amazing! It had free cookies for kids and the prices are amazing!
Worst
I ordered from them on Saturday my stuff came Sunday when it comes they add more stuff to my order that I did not purchase and they took more money of my card I been emailing them and still no response or anything. They the worst company
If I could give negative stars I would
If I could give negative stars I would. So, my two most recent experiences...first being the visit, wherein the store was so overloaded, the line wrapped the entire front end. No management showed up to help direct. And no additional registers were opened. The second being the online I placed, where one of the items was unavailable. I had opted in for text alerts...no alert came for the missing item. No email. No call. No warning. I showed up to the store expecting my items, only to be told "I don't know why everyone is ordering these we've been out for days". Between trash tier management, a subpar at best website, and atrocious customer service....this company has lost my money entirely. I hope to see you go under like Lowes did. I'll be there with fireworks when it happens.

Was given my receipt and ask to take the survey and. The receipt states 5 days to redeem so on the 4th day I attempted to take the survey and the web site says survey no longer available. Date of shopping was 12/19/2025 Ref#055001 amount spent $286.13
Arrogant, rude, and disrespectful emloyees
I have been shopping from Harris Teeters for 20 years. I was disappointed today when encountered a rude and disrespectful "self checkout" employee and store manager. There was something wrong with the machine and the "self checkout" employee started to search my bags to see if I stole something. I called the store manager and she was as disrespectful as the "self checkout employee". Both of them were arrogant and lacked the basic skills of customer service. Shame on both of them.

Deceiving the public
I have been shopping there since I moved here a year ago, and been buying all my meat there. last Week I asked the manager if this select was all Natural and organic. He answered me our meat is not natural or organic. I asked him well why does the sign above say it is and why don't you take it down? He told me would he wasn't going to take it down if I wanted to get on a ladder and take it down, and he gave me a smirk to go with that. I can imagine what else in the store is deceptive. In this day and age we must do something about supermarket like this. What other crap and lies are they feeding us?? This is the store in fresh fields
Employees constantly smell of POT
I go to the Harris Teeter at Davis Lakes in Charlotte NC. Several employees constantly smell of pot. I’ve talked to the manager of the meat department where this happens. He said “that’s what we get these days and he did not approach the employee. I talked to the customer service manager and she said “there’s nothing we can do you don’t know the corporate politics”. I have email customer service manager… no response. I have placed phone calls the girl said “oh we can’t transfer you to a manager it’s lunch time”. I asked to have a supervisor call me. No response.

Had the worst experience ever at Harris Teeter/Long Point Rd, Mt. Pleasant, SC My husband is disabled and he had his service dog with him. Small and well trained dog. As soon as we approached cash stations to pay, one of cashiers started to throw paper bags at us, screaming “dog, dog” left station and screaming started to run around the store. My husband was so ashamed, that he just left the store. It is rude discrimination against a disabled person and very very insulting. Horrible experience. Will never go to this store again. Store manager did not even apologized for his employee. It was a good store 10 years ago. It changed management many times but not for good. We are lucky because we have Publix and The Fresh Market in Mt. Pleasant.
Not the worst but not the best
Every time I go there I’m able to find everything I want, prices are mediocre but I’ve found some good deals on produce which is usually hard to come by.

I went to the HT at 290 east Bay Street in Charleston SC on 6/13/2025. I’ve had many 0 star experiences but last Friday was the worst ever. At 3pm not a single cashier or check out lane was available. Everyone was forced into the self checkout and I had a fully packed cart. The lines backed up to the end of the store. Only when I scanned a bottle of wine and the computer shouted Help is on the way! Did an employee appear because I kept scanning items as fast as I could. I do not hate this store enough.

They sold a deli sandwich 5 days old, well past the sell by date and when I asked for a refund, they refused. They never apologized nor did they acknowledge they sold it, despite my receipt.

This job put me through interviews and…
This job put me through interviews and a walkthrough after 2 weeks of interviews and waiting just to be let down that they choose another candidate. Wasted my time, gas, and patience. The pay was wonderful. And production pay if hired. Longs hours some days and short others depending on freight. The freezer selector has a huge turnover for the reason of it being -20°. I am unemployed, broke, and would've loved to work here except the cold. They let me down after all my time and gas invested. I see why people don't stay at this job. The staff is friendly, but apparently treat their employees and candidates like a number. I will be moving on. I've worked at a job like this and they don't care about their employees only production. You have no life but lots of money. So to you Harris teeter thank you for the opportunity and saving me from hating my life. I appreciate the chance but you did save me from not having a life outside this company. I wouldve loved the pay, but would have hated my job in such an unbearable condition of cold. My resumes speaks for itself. So you lost a great employee, but saved me from wasting my life in your company. Overpriced items because you treat your employees like slaves. Thank you again for saving me from this terrible job. I appreciate that you wasted my time and money when I needed it the most in my life. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity, but thankful I was not chosen to work for this company. Estes was bad but this seemed worse for just a few dollars more. My resume will bring me fortune in my job career. I don't need to work my life away anyways. I wanted a work life balance. So thank you.
I use their delivery service
I use their delivery service. I think it is a way to rip you off. The give you a bill for lets say 60 dollars with the prices. Then they deliver it and change all the prices and you pay 90.
