It’s no surprise to read all the bad…

It’s no surprise to read all the bad reviews of this company on here. I would avoid at all cost if you are able to. Received a payment request for the service charges relating to 2019 and 2020 the other day. How are the estate in which they are the management company for only now receiving charges dating back to 2019 - 4 years ago. Also the period covers March - July 2020 when the whole country was in lockdown. Surely they’re not classed as key workers? I have not seen any workers maintaining the estate. Have requested a breakdown of what the charges relate to but have so far been ignored.

Received the letter and have been given less than 2 weeks to pay when you count how long the letter took to arrive and when you factor in the easter bank holidays. This is extremely unfair when we’re in a cost of living crisis.

Have emailed a couple of times and so far have been ignored so I wouldn’t bother trying to contact them.

If I could give zero stars I would. 1 is being generous.

unprofessional, overpriced, incompetent and possibly corrupt

Never dealt with a report of Japanese knotweed on my development even though they were aware of the issue months prior. Affected my sale and caused delays and could affect future sales. Customer service team never even replied to my complaint. Prices they charge are high and the MD has been a partner in most of the companies they use. Feels very underhand and corrupt to me. I would never purchase another property under if this company is managing it.

Probably the worst property management company

Probably the worst property management company out there. I am a Director of one of the estates they manage. We have no visibility into how they spend our money and no resolution to problems, but they are very keen on increasing the service charge and collecting money. STAY AWAY.

Unsure what I'm paying for

I own my house as a freehold property. However my road has Hazelvine as our property managers. We pay what is an extortionate fee for a service that I don't have visibility of, beyond cutting the grass every so often in the summer.
Thousands are apparently invested into gardening of the neighbourhood, to the degree that I'd expect to be living in a curated garden, however all we get is an unlevel piece of grass and zero replacement of plants if they die. Really unclear what I'm paying for and why I get penalty notices for payment, when they are late in sending invoices.

Incorrectly Charge Hundreds of Pounds

Hazelvine charges multiple hundreds of pounds of incorrect fees for their administrative mistakes. They have taken YEARS to remove the incorrect fees, despite regular interactions stating they would remove them. In the meantime they charge late fees for non-payment of the incorrect fees, despite assurance this would not happen. This process is extremely stressful, frustrating, and unnecessary.

This property management company have put me off ever owning an apartment again!
They’re still invoicing me despite my selling a year ago and my solicitor discharging all debts and having to remind them when they sent invoices out.
Now another invoice and when I ring accounts I’m told their legal department has to instruct them, I said oh so it’s an internal problem for you to deal with, to be told no you have to speak to our legal department 🤦‍♀️
They were beyond useless when I lived there for a lot of money, and it seems they’re going to continue to plague me!

Just throw them in jail

I wish I could rate them less than a star. I have wanted to hurt myself due to hazelvine. Absolutely disgusting. Maureen Arthur is meant to be head of the maintenance but they don't help at all. Very two faced. when you have an issue they cant be assed at all. The money that they get paid for "upkeep " doesn't get used for that. And you can tell as they cheaply "fix" everything and cant be assed. They installed a fake. Yes fake camera in our block because people kept breaking the door to get in. Shows they really care about people.
I hope to hell you all get sued and loose your jobs because you make your residents feel like crap. You treat people like scum because that's what you are. There are good people out there who work hard and deserve to live in a nice place. Some can only afford the crap that is with you. But you don't even put the effort in to help people. Even if you listened it would be something. I have absolutely no idea how you got the jobs you have working where you are. Even working on the street would be to good for you.

How can the company improve? Throw all of you in jail without a key. Too much.? I did say worse.. I don't give a damn as you ruin people's lives.

Absolutely shocking property management…

Absolutely shocking property management company, have increased the already extortionate service charge by 25% with absolutely no explanation - I have written two polite emails asking for clarity on double costs quoted for same service and am being totally ignored - except for receiving a letter from them advising if i dont pay this 6 monthly charge they will charge me £39.00 admin fee for late payment - crooks and shouldn't be legally allowed to run a business - how can this happen / I see I am not the only one from the reviews .... :(

Devil's rejects

Hazelvine are wolves in wolves clothing - they don't even pretend to be sheep. They charge an extortionate amount of money for doing next to nothing and have large reserve funds built up that are never used. And the only time you hear from them is when they want money - otherwise, crickets. Customer service is non-existent. Hopefully one day, service charge companies will be properly regulated so that this lot will be out on their ear.

Negligent and Incompetent Property Management

As per the other reviews, please stay away from Hazelvine at all costs. They have been negligent and incompetent at managing the development of which I am a director. I am awaiting feedback from their CEO to meet with me and if this isn’t forthcoming, I will be reporting them to the ombudsman for investigation.

Never in my life I’ve been treated so badly! Worse customer service and non existent peoples skills at all! The woman I spoke to shouted on the phone “ are you kidding me?!” Bla bla bla… I would buy this company so that I could sack these people and hire decent people!
Stay away!!

Extremely unhelpful

Extremely unhelpful, rude and have no sense of responsibility.

I’d like to take this time to call out Maureen in particular for her exceptional expertise in passing the blame and not being held accountable for any actions needed to be taken from Hazelvine side.

If you’re able to avoid Hazelvine, I would highly recommend doing so.

If you want to get rid of Hazelvine read this

Our experiences mirror so many of the experiences written here. Be in no doubt this is deliberate Hazelvine policy and not a random experience. You need to get everyone in your development to elect a management group and get unanimous support from all home owners (not tenants) to remove Hazelvine. Then you need to provide the notice of termination (depending what is in your service contract this will be 3 -6 months) citing all the service deficiencies. If you can, hold back payments on the grounds of unfulfilled service until a cost settlement is agreed. They will play every trick in the book so be prepared to battle for every pound. It will be painful but grasp the nettle as it will be worth it and my suggestion is appoint a smaller local team in their place and create a zero based budget (and do not use Hazelvine's last budget as its a work of fantasy). You may have to sacrifice many hours and a few quid in your budgets but your World will be better and properties worth more.

Worst company ever

I have never seen a company that doesn't care about their customers like this one. The only thing they do is collecting their money and they don't do what they are supposed to do. They don't even respond to complaints. They just don't care.

Is it possible to give minus stars?
I had the misfortune of being Hazelvine's customer for 15 years. As a property investor I bought properties and Hazelvine were the company appointed to provide management services.
All I can say is this: I am 51 years old, have built 3 companies, raised 3 teenagers, made 6 and 7 figures in business, investor in property, stocks, crypto and more, have travelled the world, lived abroad and generally led a full and varied life. I can say, hands down, Hazelvine is the WORST company I have ever done business with. Unhelpful. Unfriendly. Rude. Inefficient. Over-priced.
Property developers: in future property investments, if I find Hazelvine have been apointed, I will go elsewhere and buy a different property.
Avoid Hazelvine (and Qdime) at all costs.

Believe everything you read

Believe everything you read, they really are that bad. Do not do any work for them, they simply will just not pay you, they will not answer any of your calls and they will not reply to your emails.
5 months on and going to court is the only way.
I truly have never delt with a company this bad.

One of the worst companies I have come…

One of the worst companies I have come across in my life. When I was living in my property it took months to get them to do anything at all. The gate was broken for weeks at a time with no response from the property managers. Now I'm trying to sell my property and they cant even answer a few questions, leaving them for weeks. This is the definition of a "waste of a company". Do not be fooled by the fake reviews.
