Thanks so much for your review Kerry. We’re really pleased everything arrived exactly as expected, well packed and delicious. Thanks for choosing us - we hope to serve you again soon.
A great range of top rate meat
My first order arrived well packed and fresh. I was particularly taken by their wide range of products including an excellent choice of veal items (including kidneys) and sweetbreads which are hard to find. The beef sirloin joint, simply roast was meltingly tender and full of flavour. I'll be back.

Thank you for such a lovely review. We’re delighted to hear your first order arrived in great condition and that you enjoyed exploring the range – especially the veal and sweetbreads, which we know can be hard to come by. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the sirloin too. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Started with veal bones…..
I found these guys searching online for veal bones…. the veal bones made a great jus at a very reasonable price. The best bit however was discovering the rest of the catalogue, full of meat the quality of which I have struggled to source locally. Perfect packaging and delivery, they are certainly ‘on repeat’ - thanks

Hi Pamela, thank you for taking the time to speak with us on the phone.
We’ve carefully reviewed your order together and can confirm that the £25 chicken was not part of the original order and was therefore not charged or dispatched. I’m glad we were able to clarify this directly and resolve any confusion.
Thank you for your understanding and if you ever have any questions about an order, our team is always happy to help.
First order… not disappointed!
I have ordered for the first time sirloin steaks, pig cheeks and ribs. Had the steaks last night… totally delicious, perfect taste and size! Will definitely order again!

Really tasty beef
Really tasty beef - I bought a 5.6kg rib of beef for Christmas. I've used other online butchers in the past, but thought I'd give HG Walter a try this year, and I'm glad I did, the quality was excellent, I was very happy and actually have their website open in a different tab to make a new order!

Complaint dealt with
Ordered a half gammon joint for Christmas . The cut was entirely unsuitable for roasting being a triangular shape and impossible to cook evenly. HG Walter responded promptly when brought to their attention and dealt with my complaint appropriately.

An excellent Christmas turkey very much enjoyed by everyone. It was beautifully packed as well. The collection process was a bit disorganised but the offer of a mince pie to those waiting was well judged.

Beef Wellington Treat
First time that I purchased the Beef Wellington. This is a dish that seems to be enjoying a renaissance! The recipient said it was “really tasty” and paired with the dauphinoise potato’s. A quality product consistent with all previous orders.
