Be cautious before entrusting…

My experience with Holidu has been negative, and based on what happened, I strongly advise anyone who owns a holiday home to think very carefully before handing over the management of their property to them.
Holidu presented itself as a channel manager for price synchronization. It was clearly agreed that I would only modify prices on the main channel and that their role would be to correctly synchronize those prices across the other channels. For a certain period, the system worked well. Then a serious error occurred on their part.
On that occasion, my property was offered on Airbnb (which they managed) to a French guest at a much lower price than the one I had set.
As soon as I noticed it, I immediately contacted both the guest, to honestly explain the situation, and Holidu, to report the problem and try to find a solution together.
The result?

The loss of the booking
A financial loss
Serious damage to my reputation.

The point is very simple: Holidu operates as a channel manager, and the damage resulted from their synchronization error. I could not possibly have caused that misalignment.
Despite this, instead of taking responsibility for what had happened and properly handling the issue, I was asked to pay them for the lost revenue as well!!!
Subsequently, I received a formal payment request for an amount that I dispute.
In the end, this has been my experience: loss of a guest, financial damage, reputational damage, wasted time, and additional pressure through payment demands.
I would also like to point out that my property, Oliventu, has a perfect 10/10 rating on Booking.com, precisely because I strive to manage guests with seriousness and fairness.
For this reason, I would strongly urge anyone considering working with Holidu to exercise the utmost caution.

Review / Consumer Warning –
After booking through the Holidu mobile app, I discovered serious discrepancies. The actual property owner confirmed in writing that:
the apartment was never listed on Holidu or Vrbo,
they had no knowledge of my reservation,
the apartment was not available for the selected dates.
Despite providing this confirmation, Holidu withdrew the funds and stated the matter was “not their responsibility,” even though the booking was completed via their app and the Vrbo confirmation came only after my payment was blocked.
This is not a minor technical issue. It highlights significant concerns regarding listing verification, transparency, and user protection. Users relying on the Holidu mobile app should exercise caution. The case has been reported to my bank and consumer protection authorities.

Hidden costs

I spent 3 hours completing my listing without any indication of any other costs than the stated commissions of 6-24% per booking. Only when reaching the last step, having to agree to the terms and conditions to activate the listing, does a so-called "onboarding fee" of 150 Euros that will be deducted from my first booking.

bad support

first and last contact with this company. I rented an appartment and they cancelled the booking. Tjey proposed ridicolous alternatives.. as room in hotel or a distance of 30 kms...

Überbuchung trotz bestätigter und…

Überbuchung trotz bestätigter und bezahlter Buchung – keine klare Lösung angeboten

Wir haben über Holidu ein Apartment in Kroatien gebucht und vollständig bezahlt. Kurz nach der Buchung informierte uns der Drittanbieter, dass zwei Nächte überbucht seien – obwohl wir eine verbindliche Buchungsbestätigung hatten.

Statt uns aktiv eine Lösung anzubieten oder sich klar zu kümmern, wurden wir mit der Unsicherheit alleine gelassen. Wir mussten selbst nachhaken und bekamen keine verbindlichen Aussagen, ob unser Aufenthalt wie gebucht möglich ist. Für uns als Familie mit kleinen Kindern ist das absolut untragbar.

So stellen wir uns Kundenservice nicht vor. Wenn wir buchen und bezahlen, erwarten wir, dass wir die Leistung auch in vollem Umfang bekommen – oder zumindest eine gleichwertige Lösung ohne Stress und Unsicherheit erhalten. Leider nicht empfehlenswert.

7 Tage vor Abreise noch immer keine Lösung oder Antwort auf E-Mails/Anrufe.

Anfrage wegen Terminänderung…

Ich hatte über Booking Com eine Anfrage,die an Holidu weitergeleitet wurde. Holidu hat noch am gleichen Tag geantwortet. Das einzige negative war" ich hatte die gleiche Frage zuerst an Holidu gestellt, und wurde an Booking Com verwiesen.Irgend wie komisch

Do not use Holidu.

Holidu canceled my booking on my check in day. I traveled over 1000 km to the destination. They apologized, and that's pretty much it. No assistance. Absolutely horrible and disrespectful. I will never visit Greece again, and certainly never ever use anything remotely associated with Holidu.

Hola mi nombre es Jessica

Hola mi nombre es Jessica, Hice una reserva a través de Holidu para alojarme con mi familia del 17 al 19 de abril de 2025. El mismo día del ingreso, el anfitrión canceló sin previo aviso, dejándonos en la calle con nuestros hijos, uno de ellos con una condición médica delicada. A pesar de recibir el reembolso del alojamiento, los gastos adicionales y el daño emocional que sufrimos no han sido compensados.

He contactado en varias ocasiones tanto a Holidu como a Your.Rentals. Me han dado respuestas evasivas y me derivan de un lado a otro, sin solución. El propietario jamás respondió.

Este tipo de plataformas deberían garantizar una atención responsable y proteger a los consumidores ante cancelaciones imprevistas. Publico esta reseña para advertir a otras familias, especialmente aquellas con personas vulnerables, sobre los riesgos de reservar por este medio.
