I made reservations for the Hampton Inn…
I made reservations for the Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton in Lakeland, South Polk Parkway, Florida. Arrival date was September 5th 2026. Through September 7th 2026. As we arrive to the hotel we then learned our reservations was booked at the Socrum location i had to call reservations to make corrections on the location spoke with the receptionist by the name of Stephanie, home said she do not have a last name i explained to her the mix up in locations and I was told in order to make the correction she had to cancel the reservation and give us a credit voucher in the amount of $299 to use toward the new reservation at the proper location with an additional $126 that brought the new total to $389. I tried to explain to Ms. Stephanie. That this was no fault of ours. It was a clerical mistake on the business end and she was very rude. I feel we were penalized for something that was not our mistake after being on the road for 10 hours, with a six-year-old child. I truly feel that our money should be refunded to us for the problem that we encountered. And miss stephanie need to be trained better on how to talk to the customers. I truly would like to speak to someone in person about this matter. So I can explain a whole lot better. My phone number is 5043016493.

It was difficult understanding the person and they were speaking too fast. He asked for the number on my card 3 times. When I finally got a person I understood, he sent a link for my card. I was concerned about the safety of my card information. I notified my bank of possible fraud. It troubling. I received 4 reservation on my phone and the hotel had 3. It was a nightmare.

Inconvenience
I'm having some repairs made to my house. I booked and paid for the room. Once I arrived, I was informed that local residents CAN NOT rent rooms. It took 2 seconds to take my payment but I must wait up to 15 days for a refund.
