Since taking the plunge to get a website after years of putting it off we have seen a huge increase in jobs and interest coming directly through the website. I can honestly say the constant assistance and guidance from Melissa O’Donnell throughout the set up of the website and the ongoing progress has been nothing short of amazing and I would highly recommend Infoserve and Melissa.

It turns out what I'd hoped was a scammer, was actually Infoserve. This was confirmed today by their help desk team. Unfortunately, the email they replied to told them not to reply, just to get the messages and attempted phone calls to stop.
The phone call last week was despite me never giving them my number. They've admitted my "number was sourced from the domain associated with the email address [I] provided" which feels much like a stalker.
The help desk team also suggest the first two emails I sent them (15 and 21 June) were filtered as spam. Which suggests that Matt Budd's marketing campaign doesn't white list the email recipients so they can reply to the organisation - a basic error when it comes to outbound sales and marketing.
I'd actually given Infoserve multiple ways out of this situation by suggesting it was scammers. Had they kept quiet and removed my email contact from the list, this review wouldn't happen. Especially given I'd suggested the scammer route to Derek Oliver, CEO, in a letter sent 30 June.
Note to the help desk team, if someone says a reply would inflame the situation, don't reply, regardless of the KPI impact.
Anyway, here's the initial email Infoserve sent so you can see for yourself the issues with their own marketing efforts and see whether or not they're the right fit for your company. Note I've added the businessName and businessArea variables myself. You'll note the lack of personalisation beyond that, the typographical errors and inconsistencies, and the appalling phrasing that made me feel this was a scammer.

Zero research into whether my business is a good fit, zero personalisation, and atrocious writing. Judging by other people also giving one star reviews, this campaign has caused harm to Infoserve's reputation. Hopefully lessons are learned, and hopefully they never contact me again. I will raise further one star reviews if they do.

Senders of unsolicited email…
Unwanted spam sent repeatedly.
Respectable businesses do not send copy and paste spam emails out. Would NEVER deal with a company that sends our cold emails and if you do not reply follows it up with another spammy email.
GO AWAY!!!

The team have been really supportive and responsive, helping us to recreate our website. It had loads of pages as we just added as we went along over the years. We had them in mind for a few years, so when we decided to transform our website to make it sleeker and more user friendly, they were who we called first.

Very quick to take payments but very very slow to respond to emails regarding queries on the product paid for.( this applies to a so called valued customer that has been with Infoserve for a large number of years)
We are still waiting for a reply!
There is always someone available to help with queries in a timely manner. Very proactive company, always in contact to help make any improvements on the performance of our website.

Called and spoke to Josh on the 22nd Jan about page forwarding for our website that they host. He said someone would call me.
Sent a reminder email to Josh on 26th Jan - still no reply.
Poor service all round.
I attended a Infoserve workshop where it was explained what a good website needs to look like. The design included things like my USP, which I had never had in a previous website. And importance of being mobile receptive. Guidance was also provided on how to edit, as I was interested in how I could interact more with the website & a free monthly chat is available if I need to discuss any aspects of it. I like this personal touch. It has most certainly helped my business and they understand what works best for me.

We have used Infoserve for the last10 year and have been mostly happy with the service they supply, They rebuilt our website which we love and now host and the only issue is when there is a change in staffing as then sometimes there can be a gap in communication until the new team member is in contact
