Our trip went well with minor bumps. This is my first experience with Insight Guides. In hindsight, I wish that I had reviewed all plans in detail and asked more questions in advance of the trip. We missed the correct train from London to York and subsequently missed the taxi to the hotel. I still don't fully understand how it happened.
Our itinerary mentioned that taxis were included but learned that they were not for the return to London and the night before departure, although hotel booked by Insight for us. The hotel "near the airport" was very nice but was 30 minute ride to the airport.
I will book another tour using Insight using the knowledge gained from this trip. A good time was had by all but with some avoidable stressful moments.

We planned a trip for May 2020 before COVID or perhaps as COVID was becoming a pandemic. When my risk level for traveling became too much, I canceled our trip and asked for the deposit to be held not knowing how long it would be before we could travel. I hadn't purchased travel insurance yet, note for next trip, but they agreed and were rebooked a similar trip for March 2022. I had been working from home for 2 years and rarely venturing in public, so I was comforted to know the COVID protocols and safety measures that the hotels were taking. Almost all our meals and activities took place outdoors and most areas have high humidity levels, so the risk of catching COVID for those vaccinated is fairly low. We loved Costa Rica and our hotels met our high standards.

Everything we agreed previously, was delivered. Always (literally 24/7) available via WU. Third time with IG 'on the road' and will be more for sure.

We were more than pleased with every aspect of our trip, from the knowledgeable local guides to the outstanding accommodations. The Riley in Cannes was lovely with a breathtaking view and great restaurant on site. I also loved the blue flowered linen robes. We didn’t have a chance to try the spa services but the facility was beautiful. Our favorite however was Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree Rainforest. Our room was spacious and private with a huge spa tub, a hammock on the deck. We woke each morning to a symphony of birds. Magical! All activities were also just what we wanted; we went river rafting, snorkeling on GBR, and a walkabout with an Aboriginal guide who was fascinating and informative. We were very impressed with every aspect of the itinerary and especially pleased that our guides were on time each day and everything ran smoothly. This was our first bespoke trip and now we are hooked! Thank you Insight Guides for an unforgettable week in Queensland.

We spent 10 days in Cambodia and overall I must say it was perfectly organized, the tourist guides were of high quality, they had a thorough knowledget about the places and perfect English. Also prior to my trip the communication with the travelling agent/coordinator was very pleasant and clear. In order to help the agency to improve to be even better partner let me highlight two things. The trip to Great Tonle Sap Lake in February, i.e. dry season is definitely not worth to visit. Everything was muddy, sometimes we were afraid to be stuck in the river that lacked enough water. I am not sure if this trip in rainy season becomes more interesting but I would have skipped this half day trip if I could. Moreover, the tour guide in Angkor Wat was for sure very experienced and had a great English but I am afraid he didn´t even notice that some of my friends didn´t have such a good English and yet he kept talking in a very sophisticated way to them which sometimes was a bit awkward. We felt like on a public historic presentation rather than having a friendly and empathic partner who understand our needs and wishes. The tour guide in Phnom Penh was really good on the other hand. Last but not the least, the selection of the hotels was also optimal, we were very happy. There was a little misunderstanding in Siem Reap where we had to be transferred to a different hotel because of the lack of capacities in the previous one but that was rather a detail.
This is my second time with Insightguides and again was really happy, I am sure it is not my last trip!

Everything was well organized, all pick ups were on time! The excursions were great, really enjoyed the rafting and ziplining! Could have combined some excursions with transport days to fit in a few more activities. Overall great trip!

All hotels, guides and tours coordinated by Insight Guides and CaminoTravel worked out as planned, no hiccups,would rely on them again.

This is the second time I have used Insight Guides to sort out my itinerary. First to Sri Lanka and recently (February 2020) to Vietnam. The itinerary was great and while I was planning it, there was room for change and modification. Nothing was a problem. I would recommend them to people who have no real idea of the country they are visiting and need some guidance. There was always an alternative or other options so one didn't feel you were just given an itinerary that wasn't flexible. The guides we had were all excellent. Good job Insight Guides. Planning Chile for 2021 now! Thank you.

Third time with Insight Guides after Sri Lanka and Vietnam/Cambodia over the last 3 years. Cuba trip reaffirmed the full trust on IG. The fine tune of our personalized itinerary was timely, professional and quick. Everything was exactly as planned: from transports to guides, hotel bookings and suggestions. We recently spent 10 days in Nepal on tour organized by Insight Guides, and local agent Malla Tours. Nepal is an amazing country and our trip was made particularly special by Prim, our amazing tour guide. We normally prefer to travel on our own, but Nepal is a challenge for individual tourists. Prim made sure that everything from airport pickup to drop off went smoothly. Prim was extremely knowledgeable of all aspects of Nepal history, culture, the Buddhist and Hindu religions, flora and fauna. We were awed by the depth and breadth of Prim's knowledge and we came away with a deep appreciation of Nepal and its people. Prim was an excellent ambassador for Nepal!

On a side note.....After Prim got us checked in at the Kathmandu airport and moments before we were to board our plane, there was a small fire at the airport which delayed all flights. The was brought under control by the authorities fairly quickly and we were never in any danger. Surprisingly, Prim became aware of the incident and stayed in touch with us throughout the delay and until we landed safely in Cambodia the next morning.

We could not have had a better experience in Nepal!

We were going to Patagonia last minute and had no time to plan. We used the Insight Guide service and they put us in touch with a local guide who made us a custom itinerary and took care of all the bookings. We were slightly afraid that some things may not go as planned, but in the end everything turned out exactly as promised, all the schedules were kept and they were really nice and flexible during the planning process and provided great support during our trip. A stellar job, guys!

We had a terrific time in Vietnam thanks to our guide, Sunny. He had everything taken care of, had wonderful surprises planned, and kept us entertained. He was very accommodating. Our group felt well informed. We appreciated the history he shared and recommendations for interesting places to explore. I highly recommend Sunny and all of the staff behind the scenes that helped us enjoy ourselves here. Thank you, great job!

Insight Guides arranged my tour across Myanmar, in collaboration with their continental agency-colleague Backyard Travel. I personally do not think any improvements could be made, both during the pre-planning and whilst traveling. The entire experience was extremely intuitive, as I easily communicated and cooperated with all involved members, including: the Insight Guides itinerary planners, and the near-dozen local guides on-site, across multiple towns and formats in the country. Insight Guides offers both guiding and e-books for traveling across the world, and my only suggestion is that it offers customers further budget options, such as ultra-deluxe, or reduced-cost: -- My holiday resulted in a way that was just right for me, and I just wish that an even wider range of travelers may access Insight Guides by having a more versatile offering of budgetary constraints. My flights domestically were not private, for example, but I believe customers should have the option to totally customize their plans if this is what they can afford. I noticed also that the e-books could recommend more 5 star hotels and Michelin-styled restaurant options, but the context and background summary of the country was perfect. For example, after reading the e-book, I was able to converse and have serious discussions with dozens of locals during my holiday, which is necessary for me as an Investor, PR personality, and public figure. Thank you Insight Guides!!!

Mostly great. Loved hotels in Riva and Stresa. Better 3 nights in Riva 2 in Sirmione.

We toured Northern Italy with arrangements by Inight Guides. The experience was great. All hotels were wonderful, guides were knowledgeable and helpful, and arrangements for transportation to our destination cities were perfect. The entire trip was worry-free and totally enjoyable.

Needs updating. Eg visiting hours for Peoples Palace, and Primaverri Palace (Ceaucescu family home) - major Buchatest sights not described properly. We found a more useful map and took advice from hotel reception, then decided to leave the book behind in our hotel room.

I'm really happy to have bought an insight Guides' guide and to have discovered this new service. Before choosing Insight Guides site I went to different travel agencies in my country but all of them were offering travel packages which were not easily customizable. Pre-made packages with fixed amount of days and excursions. Thanks to their network of reliable local providers they managed to create the trip we wanted. Booking procedure is extremely efficient and safe. Their operators are extremely professional and anger to find the best solution for you.

The insight team put together a customized itinerary for us and were responsive throughout the trip.

We had a great experience in our trip to Oman.
The local agency chosen by Insight Guides (Desert Adventures) provided an excellent service. The guide was very professional, always attentive to what we like more in terms of food, type of visits,etc. With time to explore each place without rush.
This trip was above our expectations.
