We’ve booked luxury holidays to The Savoy Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh several times over the last couple of years through Inspired Luxury Escapes, and the service has been consistently excellent. Every trip has been handled smoothly, from the initial booking right through to the final travel documents, and nothing has ever been too much trouble.

Very friendly flexible and knowledgeable

We have used Inspired Luxury Escapes (ILE) and its parent Broadway Travel quite a number of times in the past and always had a good holiday with no issues, so we booked again with confidence with ILE in August 2025 for a mid-October 2025,10 night 5 star break to the Restia Suite, Roda, Corfu.

ILE confirmed the booking and we paid in full on 17th August 2025.

About a week before we were due to depart ILE contacted us and informed us that Restia Suite could only provide us with accommodation for 9 nights. ILE advised that we could stay the 9 nights then pack up and move to another hotel for 1 night or we could transfer to another hotel for the 10 nights. We did not want to have to pack and move for 1 night so accepted the move to another hotel that we had not chosen. We were NOT offered an opportunity to cancel and get our money back.

Our original booking with ILE included shared standard transfer to the hotel and the revised booking also included shared standard transfer.

We had accepted that this transfer could be quite lengthy but we did not expect Inspired Luxury Escapes to contract on our behalf with a disgraceful and dangerous multi person coach transfer provided by Suntransfers.com

After landing at 22.00 and just 15 minutes later joining passengers already waiting on the coach from an earlier UK flight we sat for just over an hour while we waited for passengers from a third UK flight to join making it a full-sized coach with most seats occupied to maximise profit. Then off we all set in pouring rain on what turned out to be possibly the most dangerous coach trip we have ever been on.

About 10 minutes into the journey the windscreen wipers stopped working, the windscreen became very misted and a loud pinging alarm stayed on for the rest of the journey. The coach driver then spent the next 2 hours driving one handed whilst on his mobile phone and growing more and more agitated with each passenger drop off and trying to almost blindly negotiate extremely narrow roads with hair pin bends that this large coach could not get round without reversing. He also had to stop when other vehicles approached as he just couldn’t see.

After over 2 hours of this very unpleasant and dangerous journey the coach stopped, at 01.20 seemingly in the middle of nowhere, and a very angry and irate driver called out the name of our hotel. We got off into a pitch-black night with pouring rain seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Whilst unloading our cases we asked where the hotel was the driver pointed and said down there 50 metres. With that he got back in his coach and drove off leaving 2 seniors with mobility issues on a dirt track, in pouring rain and pitch blackness,

We set off in the direction the driver pointed trying to pull wheeled cases along a potholed unmade track full of deep muddy puddles with no hotel in sight. Luckily, my phone had a signal and google maps showed we had nearly half a kilometre to go. We eventually arrived soaking wet, exhausted and covered in mud at the hotel reception. They were appalled at our condition and could not believe where this rogue coach driver had dropped us off.

I contacted Customer Support at Broadway Travel and was underwhelmed by their response which seemed to accept carte blanche the outright lies and excuses given to them by Suntransfers.com and then seemingly imply that it was my fault for not booking a private transfer and apparently suggesting that we pay for a private transfer back to the airport.

In fairness to Broadway Travel after a further exchange of unhappy emails they did rebook our return trip with a reputable company whose coach pulled up, on time right outside the hotel.

From this experience we have learned some lessons

1) ILE and Broadway Travel are only agents for the various companies that they have amalgamated to provide your total holiday.

2) If one part of the amalgamated package fails there is No Refund. ILE/Broadway will endeavour to find an alterative but there is no guarantee.

3) Inspired Luxury does not mean Luxury. It can mean dilapidated dangerous coach transfers.

4) ILE/Broadway do not take responsibility for the suppliers they introduce. All contracts are between you and the supplier NOT you and ILE/Broadway.

Undoubtably we will, in all probability, use ILE/Broadway again but when we do it will be with our eyes open and will certainly factor in private transfer and hold baggage in to the cost competitiveness of the offer whilst understanding that if one part fails there is NO REFUND.
