Unfortunately, my review is a negative one – however, I hope that my comments will be understood as constructive criticism. If I were to rate solely based on the customer experience, 1 out of 5 stars would be justified (more on that below). That said, such a rating wouldn't be entirely fair, because I did receive what was advertised: a canvas print – nothing more, but also nothing less. For that reason, I’m giving 2 out of 5 stars.

Why does it feel like only 1 star, then? Because there’s a significant gap between what the presentation of the product suggests and what actually arrives. The detailed biography of Jacob Lund, the professional-looking images from art fairs, and the classification into categories like “New Art” and “Popular Art” – all of these create the impression that you’re purchasing genuine, high-quality art. The pricing reinforces that expectation. In reality, however, what you receive is a basic canvas print, comparable in quality to what you might find at a home decor store – only at a much higher price. Of course, the term 'canvas print' is used throughout the ordering process, and the production is also made transparent with the explanatory videos, but the premium pricing naturally leads to different expectations.

My criticism is not aimed at the art itself – artistic merit is subjective and entirely up to individual taste. Nor is it about how much someone chooses to spend on art. What I, as an art-conscious customer, would expect for a price north of €200 – or even above €500, depending on the size – is a more refined execution. For example a certificate of authenticity, a hallmark on the backside, a signature, or at least a small personal touch that justifies the price. Instead, the print arrived wrapped in a plain plastic sleeve, accompanied by a poorly folded delivery note, and packed in a roughly cut, hastily taped shipping box. The mass-produced nature of the product is apparent in every detail – and that sharply contrasts with the experience suggested by the website.

Reproductions and art editions have a long and respected tradition in art history and on the art market. What sets them apart is the intention to give each piece a sense of uniqueness and value. That’s exactly what’s missing from Jacob Lund’s canvas prints. These reproductions feel mechanical and impersonal – more like generic home decor than distinctive pieces of art.

Again: I am not criticizing Jacob Lund’s artistic work itself – but rather the mismatch between the image presented online and the product delivered. I hope that future buyers will enjoy a more refined and fitting art experience – one that lives up to the expectations set by the brand’s presentation.

I ordered two 1x1m pictures. I like the pictures, but I don‘t like running after an invoice. I still have no invoice, the payment was made weeks ago and the art is already hanging in my home. I don‘t understand why I can‘t receive an invoice yet. Normally you receive it instantly after paying.

Happy with the artwork but dispatching times and customer service were unsatisfactory.

Wir haben am 12.06 ein Poster bestellt. Online sah es wie ein sehr schöner Druck aus. Als es ankam, waren wir enttäuscht von der Qualität. Es sieht aus, als wäre es schlecht kopiert worden (unscharf, kopierrand, alles in allem einfach nicht wie auf dem Bild von der Webseite).

Wir haben versucht über das Kontaktformular, die Emailadresse und Instagram Kontakt zum Verkäufer aufzunehmen, bislang ohne Erfolg. Wir werden jetzt versuchen, das Geld über Paypal zurück zu fordern bis wir Antwort vom Unternehmen erhalten.

The ordered printed canvas was dispatched after 10 business days and we received it a couple of days after it was shipped. We had to wait a little longer than expected but everything went smoothly and the piece arrived in perfect conditions. It is very nice and we are very happy with it!

Bedrijf reageerd snel en duidelijk. Vlotte levering naar Nederland. Door toedoen van de transporteur bleek er schade aan de lijst te zijn. Na melding is er direct een nieuwe canvas en lijst geproduceerd en kostenloos opgestuurd. Perfecte klantenservice! Ga ik zeker nogmaals bestellen.

Jacob er meget imødekommende og hjælpsom i valget af billede, da det kan være svært at bestemme sig. Men så er det rigtig godt, at man har mulighed for at få en mock-up af billedet inden man køber. Købsprocessen gik perfekt og det er jo bare så flotte malerier, som man bliver glad af at kigge på. Så kan kun anbefale Jacob og ikke mindst hans værker.

Produkterne taler jo for sig selv, fangende, fortryllende og lidenskabelige. Kundeservice upåklageligt og hurtigt levering.
