Booked for a weekend in December , in error I booked 2026 rather than this year
Contacted immediately the hosts who kindly offered me a refund , yet 2 weeks later ignoring messages and emails from booking.com
I’m giving them 15 months notice , so sadly I will not be able to take my grandkids to the Cambridge Xmas market and will have to wait 15 months ! Bitter taste left by this host

Would recommend booking through last minute cottages we had a great stay at cleuth Lodge , clean well equipped and the bed was very comfy

Where do I start. No Wifi when we were told there was Wifi. Stairs are horrible and carpet is dangerous. Woven carpet so when you ware socks it’s becomes slippery. Slipped down the stairs, smashed my foot to find out later I have fractured my toe. Went black very quickly. Immediately contacted the owner ref WiFi and my injury, all I got was a sorry. Loss of WiFi we will see what we can do. 36 hrs later, after speaking to a friend and telling the owner he works for BT amazingly they turned up in 1 hour. Strange. Had trouble walking for 2 days. Have asked for some reimbursement and all the owner keeps saying is “ you must go through booking com because of their protocol. I have message and complained to booking com and guess what nothing. The owner has done nothing at all about it. I was recovering from an operation to then be even now in pain with my foot. The owners do not care at all. On arrival not even amount of milk bread butter nothing. Very poor indeed. Not a family Friendly house and if you have youngish children DO NOT STAY HERE. I am now in process of legal action against the client.

Paid a deposit and couldn't cancel immediately, in which I was entitled to £0 out of my £160 deposit, robbery.

Thanks for cancelling our reservation 3hours and a half after check-in time started (we were on the way and five minutes before arriving he cancelled, we had agreed on that time)
What do we do now ? We're two 20yos women we don't know anyone in the country and we're not well enough to afford 400£ a night each
You should've thought before over booking even tho we booked months ago
Hopefully we find a place to stay or trust me i'll be at your front door sleeping on the porch

Straight forward booking system. Good to have linked partners to expand choice. Like that the displayed price included any booking fees.

Gave lots of information about the property and made it easy to book and pay for. We don’t actually visit the cottage until the 7th September so can’t give a review on the property itself but so far with booking no complaints.
