A mixed experience
My claim related to the apparent failure of the windscreen washer pump on a VW Campervan. I was impressed by the speed of response to my claim - limited approval within 30 minutes of submission. I was less impressed with the fact that the cost of diagnosing the fault was deducted from the claim. Since no repairer will diagnose a fault without running their own diagnostic test, this cost is unavoidable and cannot be mitigated. In my case the diagnostic cost was over a third of the total cost.

Adam Sutton, is what customer service should be. He went above and beyond, foreseeing possible issues on my account and very quickly rectifying any possible problematic issues. I had no idea the correct terminology to use for my complaint and he kinds and patiently gave me the right words for the piece of furniture I had called about. This company does care!
Following a long, frustrating and tedious insurance episode lasting almost 10 months ( not the fault of MB&G ) I have finally had a resolution, due specifically to the patient, kind and resourceful service of Wesley. Do not use - most unhelpful and unreachable firm !
We have had an ongoing claim (for a minor cosmetic repair to a settee) for months now. The whole process of trying to get hold of them has been appallingly bad and when they say they are going to investigate and ring you back, they don't.
The only good thing was the man who was sent out to do the assessment, I cannot fault him. But getting the appointment made for him to visit took lots of phone calls, time and attempts and now the appointment for the repair to be done has simply come to a halt.
This company was the only option when we purchased furniture, but when you can't get through by email or phone and they don't do what they say, we cannot rate you any lower!!!

Awful experience
A MB&G "insurance warranty" was included with a motorhome purchased from a dealer. When I subsequently had problems they were only interested in not incurring any costs. They wouldn't confirm cover unless the chosen repairer gave:
- Cause of the fault (for each fault)
- Breakdown of costs for parts and labour (for each fault)
- Current damp report
- PDI documents from point of sale, including PDI damp report
...even though it wasn't a Damp related issue.
No repairer was prepared to spend a huge amount of their own time dismantling the motorhome to establish cause and repair costs without being covered for their work.
MB&G tried to pass the issues back to the dealer (DG Motorhomes) who wasn't interested and pushed me back to the warranty - a complete downward spiral with me stuck in the middle.
The same happened again when the motorhome developed an engine fault a few months later.
Avoid this company at all costs.
The Trustpilot warning on their page says it all:

Absolutely fantastic, I claimed on my Volkswagen Transporter engine management light issue which turned out to be a faulty AdBlue sensor & tank and MB&G were fantastic to deal with and sorted the claim out very quickly. Highly recommend

I strugled with the claim from start to…
I strugled with the claim from start to finnish. Being 75 years old i am not good at using computers and emails. Also when trying to phone up was canstantly not able to get through to speak with someone. The whole experience was very stressful. Then, to top it all off my claim was not paid in full.
