Really pleased with the service from start to finish. The ordering process was easy, and the order tracking kept us clearly informed of progress. Purchased a small window from them for the downstairs toilet.
Window did take a while to be made and delivered. Plus it was missing an internal seal. However, although it was a bit tricky to fit the seal - they did send it out to me promptly.
The reason I’m still giving 5 stars is that the customer service was great, with the option to send pictures to their WhatsApp etc. Plus the most important thing really is the window itself, and the quality of it was fantastic, very well-made, with much better window locks than I thought I was going to get.
Five stars to a great company, with a very good product. I would happily recommend modern Upvc Windows.

Normally good but this delivery an item was damaged. New section (seal) was due to be delivered 2 days after the original delivery but never turned up. Now I’m left with a huge hole in my house waiting for an answer on when the section will be delivered

As discussed, the replacement seal was arranged and despatched promptly, and a despatch notification was sent to confirm this. Unfortunately, the parcel experienced an unexpected delay whilst with the courier, which was sadly outside of our direct control.

Stroppy Delivery Driver Dumped My Windows In The Street

The delivery driver, with a huge attitude problem, flatly refused to deliver three small windows, to the garden next to my front door, which was a very short walk from the van, and expected me, a 72 year old man with a dodgy knee, to carry everything in for him. He insisted that the delivery was only to the kerbside outside my home, there is no mention of this fact on their website only "assistance is required". Despite phoning up to complain to the dispatch manager, my windows were left propped up against a neighbours fence 20 metres away in the street from my front gate.
The heaviest window frame weighed 12Kg and the heaviest window pane weighed 18Kg.
To put this into perspective, two weeks ago I had a delivery from Wickes of three 1.2mx2.4m sheets of plasterboard each weighing 24Kg, far heavier and more cumbersome than any of the windows. The delivery guy took the sheets off the van and brought them to my front door without me even asking. The service (or lack of) I have received today from Modern UPVC Windows is the worst I have ever encountered in my entire life, I'm amazed they've managed to stay in business.

We are sorry to read this review, but we feel it is important to clarify what happened and the delivery arrangements communicated prior to delivery.
Our delivery information, which is included in our email communications, clearly states:
“Our driver will park as close as possible to your premises but it will be your responsibility to ensure the goods are moved safely to your property. However, we will be as helpful as possible.”
On this occasion, our driver did not “flatly refuse” to assist. He offered to help carry the windows with you, in accordance with the above, but you were unwilling to assist with moving them. Unfortunately, our drivers cannot be expected to carry customers’ windows from the vehicle to the property entirely on their own.
We appreciate the comparison you have made with a delivery from another retailer, but different companies operate different delivery services and policies. Our delivery arrangements are communicated in advance specifically so that customers can ensure appropriate assistance is available when their order arrives.
We are disappointed that you felt the service warranted a one-star review, but we do not believe it is fair to say that our driver simply refused to deliver your windows. Assistance was offered; what he could not agree to was moving all of the windows to your property without any assistance from you.
We are always happy to review genuine concerns about the conduct of our staff, but equally we have a responsibility to ensure that our drivers handle large and potentially heavy products safely.

Replacement glass for original order…
Replacement glass for original order delivered, made sure to inspect thoroughly this time, all ok. Placed glass flat on a table and applied a frosted privacy film to inside surface. Picked up the item to carry to window frame for installation and the outside pane cracked under it's own weight. Seems to be no structural rigidity in the spacers allowing too much flex.

Thank you for your review. We’re pleased to hear that the replacement glass was thoroughly inspected on delivery and found to be in good condition.
As you have confirmed, the glass was intact when received and unfortunately cracked after delivery, following the application of privacy film and while the unit was being handled prior to installation.
Insulated glass units do require careful handling before they are installed and fully supported within the frame. The spacer system is designed to separate and seal the panes of glass and is not intended to provide structural rigidity to an uninstalled unit.
We’re sorry that the glass has subsequently become damaged, but as the replacement was supplied and received in good condition, damage occurring during subsequent handling or installation would unfortunately be outside of our control.

Windows are very good and bi-fold doors…
Windows are very good and bi-fold doors excellent product and function plus easy to fit. Delivery was a little on the slow side for my liking and one of door glass panels was sea chef. It was replaced within about a week but failed to arrive on promised day which caused fitting issues. Also a pair of sill end caps were missing, they arrived a week later. Overall very good but because of issues four stars. I would recommend this company and use again.
