Good lawnmower but the instruction manual is as clear as mud. Please don't rely on vague diagrams to convey everything - some written text is needed! mulching plug arrived after a delay and not sure it's working to best effect yet.

Overall, good.

Felt a little let down by 2 deep scratches on the red plastic of the engine cover/hood of the ride-on lawnmower.
The response of "it'll get scratched in the future anyway" wasn't great.
Part of the unit wasn't fitted correctly requiring replacement.
The product is otherwise good. The design hasn't changed much in 13 years but it works.

I have to feed the line through the strimmer as it is overlaid in places and will not autofeed as it should. Poor performance out of the box

Ignoring the fact I had to use tape to hold the cord in place (constantly falling out due to poor design) my Mountfield mower developed another fault making it dangerous to use just under a year of minor use. After using their web portal to contact them I received no reply so tried their phone number. You are placed in a queue which never drops simply put you cannot contact their customer service team for love nor money. I now have a 200 quid piece of junk that is under warranty but with no method of contacting Mountfield. I will never buy one of their products again.

Unexpectedly powerful rechargable electric lawnmower; very pleased

Mountfield SP53 bought to replace Oleo-Mac I had for over 15 years. Mountfield is much poorer quality overall and the mulching is not worth bothering with, its just a plug in the back instead of the grass collector and blocks up even on short grass. I very much doubt this mower will last long.

Service was very good. Product was very good. It came with a washer missing. I have not had a response to my email asking for one to be sent to me. It's a shame as I like Mountfield products.

Mountfield Lawnmower purchased with 3 year warranty. It is not working after 2 years . Screwfix only cover the 1st year then it’s over to Mountfield whose service department is atrocious. I was on hold for 3 hours after being 8th in the queue, they have sent PDFs to see if I can rectify the problem but I cannot . So have emailed yet again to obtain a service centre near me . Again NO response. So I now have a defective machine that wasn’t cheap and no way of having it fixed under warranty. By the way to only have 2 people working at a service/repair call centre is absolutely ludicrous. The contact messages remain unanswered. Poor Customer Service. So disappointed

My Lawnmower is not working after cutting the grass 3 times and called waited a hour on hold then told to call one of the companies that work with them and then quoted a £45 pick up charge now only had this mower for 4,5 weeks from new and used correct oil and fuel this is not a service it's a con and unless i get a pick up of the machine or replacement i believe no one should ever buy or use this company because they was one of the best but now sitting at the bottom

Lawnmower arrived very quickly from Mountfield itself. Not too difficult to put together. High quality mower in terms of strength of build, ease of use. The only problem I' ve had is with the 5 year warranty, returned by post office a pre-addressed pamphlet for warranty registration, returned as moved. Emailed Mountfield asking for warranty, no reply too date. This is upsetting. Where's the warranty?

Excellent customer service and product superb

Sent warranty card included in package to register warramy . Returned by royal mail unable to deliveras addresse gone away. Parts missing filled in gorm on your website have had no reply. Tried to phone using your website number not in use!

Excellent product and excellent service with very fast delivery

The instruction manual did not correspond to the parts in the box so we had to work out grassbox assembly ourselves. The pictures in the manual are too small so we had to download instructions to be able to see where and how to install bolts &screws. The grass box attachment points (on the box and the machine body) are quite soft, thin plastic which feels flimsy and low quality. It does not inspire confidence that it is robust enough to last very long and is not in keeping with the Mountfield brand. It remains to be seen whether it is fit for purpose and lasts a reasonable number of seasons of lawnmowing.

The Web site led me to order the WRONG blade for my mountfield mower. I search your site with my part number and the search found one blade that matched, after the order was placed I noticed that the part number on the invoice was different. I waited until the blade was delivered, and it was the wrong one. I sent an email to Stiga saying the same I got no reply, I rang the following Monday and spoke to Gemma who very kindly offered me a full refund and said they did not want the incorrect blade retuning,
I recieved an email on the 8th of July confirming that I would receive a full fefund, it said please allow 2 to 5 days for the fefund to show in my account. It is now the 18th of July and still no sign of my refund. I am still trying to contact Stiga.
In addition to the above I contacted Stiga today 20th July, went over the details with Andy and promptly my refund was in the bank the same day.
