I never signed up for a plan and yet I…
I never signed up for a plan and yet I have had 63 DECLINED NOTIFICATIONS FROM THEM. I reached out to support who told me to delete my account, I tried to log in with the account and I’m not subscribed to anything!!! So I reached out again and they ignored me! Don’t trust this company with your bank information or your music!

To clarify: Music Gateway does not attempt charges without notice or consent. Any declined notifications would be linked to an active account or subscription that was set up at some point — but we absolutely understand how confusing and stressful this can feel, especially if you believed no plan was active.
We currently don’t have any open tickets matching the issue you’ve described. If you spoke with our chatbot, Luna, and didn’t provide a contact email, our team wouldn’t have been able to follow up with you. We’ve requested more information from this review so we can resolve this as quickly as possible, but in the meantime, we’d ask that you please contact support@musicgateway.com with your account details so we can assist directly.

Fraudulent Company. I have my song on their publishing and to my surprise after many months of no royalties, I went on MLC website and found out that they are already receiving royalties on my behalf and not remitting same to me. I tried contacting them and they never respond after realizing that I have gotten ahold of their scam. Pay me my money!

Fragwürdige Methoden:
Ich hatte vor längerer Zeit bei Music Gateway einen Free Account erstellt. Dieser wurde vor kurzem ohne meine Einstimmung zu einem Paid Account mit 20 EUR pro Monat umgestellt. Der Betrag wurde in der Ankündigung der Umstellung nirgends genannt. Zur Umgehung wurde nur das Löschen des Accounts vorgeschlagen. Nach dem Löschen des Accounts gab es keinerlei Bestätigung, man kann sich lediglich nicht mehr anmelden.
Update: Der Anbieter hat sich als Reaktion auf diese Bewertung bei mir gemeldet, eine ausführliche Erklärung und Entschuldigung abgegeben und mir eine Rückerstattung angeboten. Der Fehler lag eindeutig beim Anbieter und nicht darin, dass ich Informationen übersehen hätte. Aber mit dieser Kontaktaufnahme und mit der Lösungsorientierung ist das Problem aus meiner Sicht auf eine seriöse und sehr kundenfreundliche Weise gelöst worden.

To clarify: when we made the decision to retire our free plan, all affected users were emailed in advance with details of the change, including the monthly fee, the start date, and clear instructions on how to cancel or delete an account before any charges were applied. We understand that not all users may have seen this communication, particularly if the account hadn’t been accessed in some time.
We also apologise if the account deletion process felt unclear, while the account is removed from our system, we take on board feedback and will review that flow.
If you believe a charge was made in error or would like us to confirm your account status, please contact us at support@musicgateway.com, we’re happy to help and committed to resolving issues fairly.

This company is completely fraudulent, avoid them at all costs! Cancelling the subscription is impossible, there's no support, and they ignore all requests. The only way to stop the charges is by blocking them through your bank or getting a new card and filing a police report.

Music Gateway is a legitimate business and does not charge users without prior notice or consent. When we discontinued our free plan, all users were informed via email with clear instructions on how to cancel or delete their account before any charges were made. All billing is carried out in line with the Terms & Conditions agreed to at sign-up.
Cancelling a subscription is possible at any time either through your account dashboard or by contacting our support team. Our main support address — support@musicgateway.com — is active and monitored, and we aim to resolve all queries as quickly as possible.
If you haven’t yet received a response or had trouble accessing your account, we’d be happy to assist directly. Please contact us with your details so we can help resolve the issue promptly.

Why I Left Music Gateway After Two Years
I initially had a great experience with Music Gateway’s distribution services and was happy to endorse them. However, after two years, it has become clear that they have expanded beyond their capacity, prioritising revenue over the essential services that artists and labels rely on. As a result, customer service and communication have deteriorated significantly.
In March, I reached out regarding discrepancies in my royalties report—missing payments and incomplete data, but despite multiple follow-ups, I have yet to receive a proper response. A representative, Sophie Small, apologised last month, stating that my emails hadn’t reached their inbox and that they would investigate the issue. Even after further attempts to contact Sophie, I have still received no reply.
Beyond this, the overall service has declined. Releases are taking longer to be approved, their promotion services fail to provide meaningful results, and their publishing team does little beyond marking my releases as "approved" without actually taking action. Previously, artists had direct phone access to publishing and sync teams, but this service has now been eliminated.
While Music Gateway was once a promising distributor, their focus has shifted away from the fundamentals that artists and labels need. Instead of maintaining quality, they have added services that lack real value. After extensive research, I recently moved to a new distribution company, one that has been established for years and remains true to its core values.

We recognise that as Music Gateway expanded, there were periods where service delivery and response times did not meet expectations. This is something we’ve taken seriously, which is why we made the difficult but necessary decision to retire our Free plan earlier this year. It had started to place strain on our systems and support infrastructure, and we knew we needed to refocus on delivering the quality and reliability that our professional artists and labels, like yourself, deserve.
Whilst we'd love to have professionals like yourself on our roster, we understand your decision to move to another distributor and wish you continued success with your releases. Thanks again for your feedback, it helps us grow and improve.
Terrible company. Scam.
Terrible company, took £69 out of my bank account without my consent. I tried to complain filling out the form and heard nothing back.
Had to cancel direct debit with the bank and then delete my account incase they tried taking any more money out.
Hope they enjoy the £69 that made me overdrawn when they took it out.

To clarify: the charge you’re referring to was related to a standard subscription renewal for a Pro account, which was originally activated through your own upgrade on the platform. All subscription renewals are processed in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, which are agreed to at the point of sign-up and include clear information about billing cycles and cancellation procedures.
That said, we completely understand how frustrating unexpected charges can be, especially if you didn’t realise your subscription was still active.
If your account has been deleted and the charge led to genuine financial hardship, please contact support@musicgateway.com with your details. We’re happy to review your case and see what can be done.
