Follow-Up: Setting the Record Straight
For transparency: I ordered two Wall Planning Charts on June 26, which arrived on June 30. I contacted you that same day to report that both charts were haphazardly jammed into a single shipping tube, making them difficult to remove without damage. Not that it should matter, but these charts were intended to be embedded in an epoxy tabletop, so they needed to be pristine.
You contacted me the following evening to inform that you had shipped replacements in appropriate packaging.
I didn’t follow up again until July 9 because, based on years of good service, I assumed everything was in order. When I called on the 9th, I was told I needed to wait until 10 business days had passed before any action could be taken. Your rep claimed the replacements had been shipped, but had no tracking info or confirmation to back that up.
When I called again on July 15 to say that the replacements still hadn’t arrived and that I had already sourced the item elsewhere, I was told that a refund would require further investigation—which I found totally unacceptable at that point. Out of frustration, I told you to keep the money.
I am glad you eventually issued a refund, but the lack of proactive communication, the absence of basic shipping details, and the repeated delays were disappointing, & frustrating. You left me with the impression that you expected me to give up.
This experience didn’t reflect the reliability I’ve come to expect from MyPilotStore, and damaged my trust in your ability to serve me in the future.

Something Has Changed — Avoid My Pilot Store
After years of being a loyal customer with many successful orders, my most recent experience with My Pilot Store was shockingly poor. The item I ordered was shipped in completely inappropriate packaging, resulting in damage. I contacted customer service, and they assured me a replacement would be sent. It never arrived.
After more than two weeks of silence, I informed them that I had sourced the item elsewhere and requested a refund. They refused.
This kind of service is unacceptable, and it marks a clear decline from the reliability I once knew. Something has changed at My Pilot Store—and not for the better. I strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere.

We are not a flying family, but...
We are not a flying family, but we do have noise-sensitive dogs. The aviator-quality canine earmuffs worked very well in making our dog more comfortable during "Sky-Boom" season. The entire process was easy to navigate, had excellent communication, and hasn't overstepped in trying for a second purchase.
The ASA iPad Mini-Kneeboard, Great design but poor execution for the real world.
Ordering was very easy The kneeboard I wanted to try was in stock. Shipping was quick. The ASA iPad Mini-Kneeboard itself is a nice piece of gear for an iPad mini. Having a small pad with pen/pencil holders on the outside seemed to be a perfect design. Unfortunately for me, it's interior, iPad clamping design is too small for an iPad mini with any type of protective shield. I have an Otterbox cover on my mini and there is no way I can use it with this kneeboard. It's a shame. I don't know anyone who uses their iPads unprotected. Our mini's comprise our Electronic Flight Bag and are required to be present on every flight for our EMS helicopter. Keeping any iPad without a cover in the small confines of an EC-135 would be a definite death sentence for the iPad. So I would give this kneeboard four stars for design only. It is of no use for me pracitcally.
Bad Customer Service
Purchased an Icom radio, it had problems with the automatic squelch which were confirmed by an Icom tech rep who told me to return it. I returned it at my expense since I didn't want another radio with automatic squelch. I never received a refund despite my RMA and confirmation that they received the bad radio. Rep said she'd elevate it to a manager, but was never refunded and never heard back. I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company which was resolved in my favor.
EDIT AFTER REVIEW WAS REBUTTED: Check records for RA# 120636. Purchase made under different name / email address.
