I got an email of an alert from my true…

I got an email of an alert from my true identity. I went thru all of the authentication to get to a rep. It didn't sound legit. He had a very strong Middle East India accent and hard to understand. He asked for my whole ssn and date of birth again. I didn't feel safe it sounded like a fraud. You can't be too careful now a days

Terrible service

Have been trying to log in for two days, After talking to 6 (yes 6) different representatives I am still unable to log in to my account, so I will simply give up on this inept and untrustworthy site, a horrible thing for a site to be that handles and holds my financial identity. Just a lot of agravation and time wasting

Horrible, horrible to the Extreme. Rate them a zero !

My identity was stolen in a CIRO computer hacking. Their solution was to pay for this company to monitor my accounts for 2 years. I think I would rather deal with my identity thief. Customer service people are in India and very difficult to understand. When I asked to speak to a supervisor he identified himself as Jeff Smith as somebody in the background giggled. Unprofessional. Clearly English was not anyone’s first language. Found customer service M to be rude and continually interrupting me until I asked her to please listen. A further check with Equifax Canada by me confirmed my credit rating had not changed and I had been given false information by TrueIdentity. Unprofessional, rude, and very difficult to understand. Waste of time calling them. Should not be in business

Really bad experience with them

Really bad experience with them . I finally realize that there are private repair company like rocketskycredit on X doing the actual job with better quality service. I was going through identity theft fraud case which dented my credit. Mytrueindentity couldn't help me resolve it for months . I had to seek extra help to finally get approval for the home loan refinance which I needed the whole time. I feel like a lot more people need to know .

Mytrueidentity / TransUnion-USELESS

You sign up because your personal info was breached and this service was offered as a way to help you monitor, but the mytrueidentity.com - which is a subsidiary of TransUnion, is useless. Companies shouldn't even offer this as a "peace offering" for allowing the breach. You get NO communications and can't even log in because you're told the information is incorrect. Worthless!!!

Not helpful

They sound like scam! I got an email saying that "This is an alert from MyTrueIdentity letting you know that a change has been posted to your credit report". I got logged out after 1 attempt. I called True Identity and they asked me for my email address and SSN, which I didn't want to give. I asked them if they had sent me this email and they believe they hadn't because there isn't a file number on it. I said the email address is from Transunion and if they could at least confirm if there was a change in my credit report, they said they can't inform unless I give my SSN...I don't know who to believe anymore.

The website is glitchy and the customer…

The website is glitchy and the customer service is not great. I tried to login in and was locked out. First texted a support person who sent a temp password that didn't work. Then called and spoke on the phone with an agent in India, they confirmed my ID with a lot of questions. Then said they could only send the reset after the call had ended. I was saying, stay on the line, to confirm it works. Anyway, we ended the call, they sent the temp password, and it didn't work. 0/10 FAIL

Terrible experience, out dated even for 1990s

If I could, I would give them zero stars. My account was locked online, so I called the customer service to unlock it. They asked me for my phone number to send me verification messages but their system was not able to do that, then they blamed me for not having a matching phone number on file. This is my only phone that I had over 10 years! and I only opened this MyTrueIdentity account 6 months ago! The customer service supervisor then wanted me to email them my drivers license, but they couldn't send me the email address. Her accent made it 100x difficult to write down their email address, it's like she was never trained in how to spell each letter on the phone. It was just a ridiculous, frustrating experience. I don't recommend anyone using them.

Horrible

Horrible. Was given it for free by my employer, but cancelled because of how horrible it was. Agents are not educated about the product (eg one agent told me I couldn’t cancel online I had to do it on the phone; another told me a false fraudulent phone number was added to my credit report - it was by THEM lol, etc. You spend hours you can’t get back trying to deal with login issues, etc. such a horrible waste of my time.

This was awful

This was awful. The website would not let me create an account, even after verifying my access code. Subsequent attempts to do this didn't work since the code had already been used. Called support 4 times, and wow, what a useless group. Deleting cache in the browser was the only offer of help and that did not work. Requests to speak to someone in IT did not work. Never got it to work and gave up.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. They sent me an email stating there was a "critical change" to my credit report. I have Lifelock & other identity protections that didn't flag anything. I tried logging in to mytrueidentity and got locked out! Tried calling customer service 4x and got nowhere. Tried resetting my password and still locked out. Feels like a total scam.

Like everyone else

Like everyone else, it wouldn't go through after putting in all of the info. I tried on 3 separate occasions.
Also why are some of the remarks from Sept and we just received the notification a few days ago?

Their help desk of the credit bureau…

Their help desk of the credit bureau (Transunion) is very UNHELPUL or My True Identity. They answer nothing for you other than canned phrases. YOU get the same stuff. My True Identity or Trans Union. I received an email from My True Identity and got nothing there either. I want to thank congress and the senate, for this ridiculous settlement made for their constituents' behalf. All I have to say is PU!

The mytrueidentity website is very poor

The mytrueidentity website is very poor. Tried to save some changes to my personal information and security question - hit save but the changes are not saved / retained.

Also - it shows a past address for me that I have never lived at and do not even recognise.

I tried to enroll and failed

I tried to enroll using code from a notification about a data breach, and offering free credit monitoring. After filling out the web form I got "We're having trouble with your request and apologize for the inconvenience. Message ID: 005"

A farce.
