You can’t verify how many sessions you did then they say you did all your sessions, then they send novel long emails to seemingly confuse. Relationship Expert is great. Customer service and the company is not trustworthy. They need to follow betterhelps pricing guidelines

Our experience has been very upsetting. Due to a misunderstanding with the app, we have lost 2 sessions and the ability to get a refund under the "guarantee". When we scheduled a session for the first time we were paired with an expert who was not aligned with our personal preferences that we had already pointed out. Thus, we switched experts. This apparently led to "cancellation" even if this was not notified to us. When we tried again to schedule a session "for the first time", we were again paired with the same expert, so we had to switch experts again. The end result: we lost 2 sessions without even knowing and 200$.

OurRitual has been the best thing for our relationship. With young kids, schedules are tight, but we can get a session at 9:30pm every couple weeks from our own home when the kids are in bed. OurRitual makes it easier to be consistent. We worked with Carmen Yoong, and I have found her to easily be the best therapist we have ever had. She helps us actually move through issues and get to the core by holding us accountable and making us feel heard. HIGHLY recommend Carmen and OurRitual.

Our therapist is great and we would love to continue working with her. However, OurRitual is a terrible company and has very deceptive practices.

First of all you cannot see on the app how many therapy hours you have left for the month and unless you keep close track they will give you false information, so you don't use the hours you have paid for.

Next, they will raise prices in the middle of your contract. We signed up for a 6 month package at a fixed price billed each month. In the last two months of our contract they started billing us higher amounts. When we reached out they wouldn't give a clear answer and eventually they said that they had to increase prices because their previous pricing wasnt sustainable...what?? How is that my problem that you didn't price your package correctly and after locking in my membership try to charge me more without allowing me to cancel!

Once we decided to cancel to avoid renewing the membership, while our current plan was still active they cut off all access to the platform and didn't allow us to use the rest of our therapy hours credits that we already paid for. That is downright stealing!

Stay away from this unscrupulous company! Just find a good therapist and work with them directly.

I want to start this review by saying I absolutely adored our relationship expert, and would love to continue to see them individually. He changed a lot of negative experiences and stereotypes for me and I will ALWAYS remember how well he treated us.

Our Ritual on the other hand is something that makes this experience something I wouldn’t wish upon a bitter rival.

After it was decided that my partner and my relationship was irreparable, we both transitioned our couples plan into individual plans (it’s very helpful to navigate the healing process with someone who is aware of your spouse, has interacted with your spouse, and has seen the conflict/ has the context). Within two weeks of seeing this expert individually, my plan was cancelled without notice and when I inquired as to why, was told it was due to the nature of my husband and my relationship being outside of the scope of practice. Fair enough- just wish there was more notice than an email without any offer of a refund.

Approximately a week after this email, I was made aware that my husband’s individual plan was not canceled in the same fashion as mine, and was allowed to continue seeing our former expert. When I reached out to Our Ritual believing it was an oversight and not intentional, I had asked for a full refund of all monies paid to this application, and told that it would be escalated and processed. That was mid-June.

When I reached out to follow up this week (as I had yet to receive the promised refund) I was notified that the account that was refunded was associated with my husband’s individual account and not mine. They then processed a refund only for the “early termination fee” to my account.

When I sent copies of the email from the customer service rep stating that all monies would be refunded, I was told by a supervisor it was a misunderstanding, and that they were happy to refund another month on top of the early termination fee.

While this is a start, to take away a service that is providing guidance and solice to a single mother without notice, promise a full refund, take three weeks to process anything, and then underdeliver on the initial promise under the guise of misunderstanding is unacceptable.

Take your money elsewhere. It’s not worth the added heartbreak and strain to get what was promised.

I’m grateful for the time my former partner and I spent working with Yolanda Meima. She was warm, attentive and created a safe, nonjudgemental environment where honest conversations felt possible, even when discussing difficult topics. I believe the communication skills and self-awareness I gained through our sessions were incredibly valuable. I would highly recommend her to couples seeking a therapist who is compassionate, engaged and skilled at facilitating meaningful conversations.

Working with our ritual has been really game changing for me. The therapy experience is neat because you can move at your own pace, work on your own, as well as work with your therapist. The tools are set up to be used when you need them which I really appreciate. I was nervous at first cause I am in therapy already but this caters to relationship work in a real direct and effective way. This therapy has been game changing.

Helped me cognitively think and try to use my mind as a tool in certain situations to improve so I still got 3 more months but wanted to thank lisa

Love the format, the thoughtful dialogue and the different tracks we can take as things bubble up and we dig further into some root issues.

As an ADHD adult & my partner has Autism, we struggled to find someone who could understand us and our feelings. My boyfriend & I, wanting a future together had hit an incredibly difficult part of our lives where I am trying to get by saving for my move & the most important people in his life has both passed away last year. (Grandmother & Father both passing a few months between) I was doubtful anyone could help us with our struggling stress, disagreements & arguments due to our emotions. This is why I love our Expert, shes fantastic & gave us an understanding of each other.

I know the App itself still needs some tinkering, as I believe they are doing their best to fix any issues from our feedback, make sure you can disclose to support if you are looking to cancel your sub for the first time, they will be able to help! I am grateful support never gave up helping us fix our situation. My only opinion on the plans is there should be an option, as a couple, that one of us can do a solo sessions if we pay for the solo sessions without needing to switch ownership if someone wants/needs to do their own sessions with their Expert. Hopefully this can be improved, helping those who are struggling & seeking help like my partner & I. I am thankful that Support took my struggles seriously and got back to me asap, making sure my issues were resolved.

I signed up for Ritual because of the advertised money back guarantee and the promise that I could try the program risk free. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations.

From the beginning, I experienced ongoing issues with the app that prevented me from being fully integrated into the program. A significant portion of my coaching sessions was spent discussing technical problems and troubleshooting rather than receiving meaningful support.

Perhaps most disappointing was the refund process. The money back guarantee was presented as a risk free way to try the service, yet when I requested a refund due to the technical issues and poor experience, I was initially denied and had to spend considerable time advocating for myself before being offered only a partial refund.

While others may have a different experience, mine was frustrating from start to finish. Between the app issues, scheduling problems, limited value from the coaching sessions, and the difficulty obtaining a refund, I would not personally recommend the program.

UPDATE: after writing a review, they ended up giving me a full refund and asked me to update or remove my review.

Our Ritual has been very beneficial in our relationship - going into it I was nervous naturally but with each passing week I feel strong in our relationship and I can’t wait to continue learning about myself and my partner!
