Amazing
Amazing. Grace and Bev made side that I was updated throughout and assisted me with any questions I had. Happy to have brought my first home from them.
Paul Carr lucky to get one star
Paul Carr lucky to get one star, no communication at all, 2 viewings in 3 months. Sign you up and your forgotten, go elsewhere, we did.
Awful experience – unprofessional and distressing
We recently ended our tenancy with Paul Carr Lettings and were shocked at how poorly we were treated. When returning our keys, we were greeted by Fiona in a hostile and condescending manner that left me in tears. We were even threatened with paying additional bills, despite there being no clear communication about key return dates.
Serious property issues (severe mould damaging belongings, a dangerous kitchen light, and a faulty electricity meter) were dismissed or blamed on us, even though we have photos and the landlord herself was unhappy with how things were handled. Communication was consistently poor, and our concerns were minimised throughout.
When we raised a formal complaint, the MD, David Alexander, sent an appalling response that denied our experience, defended Fiona without impartiality, and even tried to discredit us. This agency’s behaviour towards us as younger tenants felt discriminatory and deeply unprofessional. We will never use Paul Carr again and strongly advise others to avoid them.
5 star service thanks to Paul Carr Four Oaks
Please don’t be put off by any negative reviews.
I recently sold my property through the Paul Carr Four Oaks branch, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Ben, although relatively new to his role, was outstanding throughout the entire process. There was a point where we felt ready to give up on selling, but Ben's dedication and persistence saw us through — I truly can't thank him enough.
A big thank you also to the rest of the team: Bev, Kiran, Katie, and Cian — and apologies if I’ve missed anyone!
I highly recommend using Paul Carr Four Oaks. The team kept us informed with regular updates and were consistently supportive, professional, and understanding.
If I could leave zero stars I would
If I could leave zero stars I would. I would never use this company again if my life depended on it. Given completely misleading information which has left me, a single mom with a £6000 debt following the sale of my deceased dads property.

Bad experience.Recently we were looking to buy a property and found one that caught our eye on this particular Agency .The property viewing was presented by Cian who was very professional ,,polite and delivered his job in a good manner. However ,I would.have to say that at least ,it would be appreciated by the costumers to ventilate the property of the viewing and have in hand the total of square metres .Even in the leaflet it was not shown and I had to work out adding them manually room by room .
On the other hand , my husband phoned after that and made an offer for the flat after few days. However ,he didn't get any call back after ,for another few days .We decided to call, and at that time he was told that they had multiple offers ,one of them was higher than his current one and if he really were interested in getting the apartment he would have to pay an extra fee of 5000 pounds to the agent ( which we didn't meet) plus the offer ,which at that time was the maximum price the flat was listed for.( all this by phone). There is not any way to check( on the website )or any other physical evidence if there are really others offers highers (like others agencies ) which by far are a bit more transparent in this matter .So the only option that costumer has is ,to " rely " and " trust "in the words of the agents who in this case are obviously highly moved more by the extra money they can make ,rather than the actual commission they would get by selling a property .
Quite disappointed ,twisted and dark all this process and we just decided to walk away rather to deal with all this again .
Summarising for customers :
1.Don't expect high standards for a property viewing (it is going to sell anyway ) so why to put to much effort !
2.Don't expect feedback ( they are not going to call you to keep you updated of the process) YOU need to call them .
3.There is no way to check if what they are telling you is true( regarding offers),etc.
4.Expect to pay a high EXTRA fee of cash to secure your property to the agent.
Poor service
Felt I had a really poor service from the Sutton Coldfield office. Initially my property was way overpriced which resulted in no interest. Then the manager advised me that auction was the best way to go. After 3 months of no luck and price reductions he actually admitted that it was bad advice on his part to go with auction. Throughout the whole process the contact, or rather lack of it was shocking. Whenever I phoned them I’d be promised a call back which never came. One of the staff kept telling me she’d call back with an update and never did. After the 4th time she didn’t call back I went in to the office in person. The manager apologised on behalf of the member of staff, which is fair enough. He gave me an email contact for him and said to use that if I needed an update. A week later I emailed him and guess what, no reply for a week. I had to go in to the office again at which the said manager looked perplexed when I told him I’d emailed a week ago. He opened his emails and found my email, claiming he must have missed it.
Absolute incompetency and unprofessionalism is my experience. I ended up going with an independent agent and got a much more professional and engaging service. I wish I’d done that in the first place. I’d never use PC again and advise others the same. Look elsewhere.

Feedback regarding Fiona from the Sutton Coldfield office.
I arranged a visit as was enquiring about a potential letting. Fiona promptly arranged a visit and was very professional. Her knowledge of the local letting market was very excellent and she also outlined potential improvements that a landlord could undertake to maximise rental income.
Thank you

Called in at the Four Oaks office to say I had a flat to sell . It was out of that office’s area so the guy said he would pass on my details to their Boldmere office . No one has bothered to call me despite my call to that office , where a man said it might have been one of his colleagues who took the message .
Not professional . What if I had a buyer interested in that flat and they ignored that person ? I will market the property elsewhere . Avoid this estate agent .
DO NOT RECOMMEND
Unprofessional and unresponsive service from Paul Carr Erdington. My purchase fell through due to their slow communication and lack of care. Samantha Bailey, who was assigned to me, rarely answered calls and provided false information about the property. Would not recommend.

One of the poorest experiences of my life
Poor communication felt that our business was not important
The broken promises and delayed response became laughable
After complaining to the manager we were promised she would take control in one month she spoke to us once
We never felt they were being truthful and the failure to sell the bungalow after 6 months is a testerment to their incompetence
I never felt they had our interests at heart
Please think twice before entrusting them with your business
Disappointing
Plus points. Friendly enough and fee competitive. Good connections to local trades people
Minus points. Disjointed co-ordination and communication between staff members A single point of contact would have been useful as some staff members were part time, and other staff members didn't have or have access to updates or information. Likewise, some emails weren't replied to.
A key staff member left the job and things then really started to unravel, as I was not informed of visits to the property on more than one occasion, and my confidence plummeted, particularly as I was selling the property at a distance.
In the end the sale went through OK, but I was left wondering how professional they really were, and I got the impression that perhaps they were acting in their own interests as much as mine.
I wouldn't use them again
Excellent House Sale Experience.
Erdington Branch manager Ian Burrows and his team were very helpful, professional and efficient in correctly valuing, marketing and then getting our house sale to completion.
So this is wishing him, and his very competent team, a big well done.
Disappointing experience
Walmley Branch.
They could not wait to sign us up. Once this was done it was an uphill struggle as no one was interested in answering questions or calling back.
We decided to have their solicitors who they recommend (they get a fee for passing on details) which was a big mistake.
Feel they do everything to get you on board and then are not interested and it’s impossible to get any answers. You get assigned a sales progresser but they never answer the phone. Very disappointed and would not use again.
Absolutely great team
Absolutely great team, honestly the negative reviews just don’t make sense compared to what I’ve experienced. Love them and fully put my trust in their team!
Paul Carr Estate Agents
Paul Carr Estate Agents - Walmley. After months of false promises, lies and delays I have decided to sell the property elsewhere. There is a constant ping pong match between the agent and solicitors. You get very few updates and have to chase for an answer. They have someone called a 'Sales Progressor' who only provides an update after you chase, and if anything makes the process slower. When challenged, they will blame the buyer, solicitor and everyone else. Any other responsible company would be open, honest and take accountability for their actions. I strongly recommend staying away from Paul Carr Estate Agents.
Awful experience with the estate agent
Awful experience with the estate agent. Put our house up for sale and the photos were done quickly with no effort and showed our house is the worst light. We asked them to change/ redo them, no joy. The house has been on the market 6 months with only 3 viewings, 1 turned up, 2 no shows (or made up!) We have asked for feedback and nothing. We have asked for guidance on what to do to attract more viewings - no call back. They have no drive to try and sell our house for us but will happily take our £7000 fee!
BEWARE
BEWARE! Proceed with caution.
Going through a divorce and Paul Carr valued the property at £325k.
This was challenged and has now cost money to have a paid valuation done, which has come in at 40k more than Paul Carr valued it at.
This is really disappointing as you should be able to trust a company to give you a true valuation of your property, however they have caused great stress and anxiety.
I wish I could do zero stars
I wish I could do zero stars, they never pick up any calls or emails. You can never reach to them
Just awful people
Just awful people. Rude and obnoxious and they hate it when you call out their behaviour as they then gaslight you. Attitude of staff has not changed in years so owners clearly not bothered. The huge lack of diversity in this organisation tells you a lot. I will encourage anyone renting, buying, letting or selling not to give this organisation your business.
