Great cycle holiday travel insurance
I was researching travel insurance for cycle touring that also included winter ski insurance and Pedal cover fitted the bill at a good price.

Everything is great until you have to…
Everything is great until you have to make a claim. They try their best to not pay you, and do not show any sympathy or remorse.
Turns out their 'accidental damage' cover is not accidental damage at all, it's only if you are involved in a crash while riding.
Had I dived deep into the small print I would've known. I'm writing this so others are aware.

Hi Archie, sorry to hear you feel this way following the result of your claim. Our definition of accidental damage is: “A sudden or unexpected crash, fall, or impact while using or transporting your pedal cycle that results in damage to you and/or your pedal cycle during the period of insurance.”
This is clearly stated (more than once) in the policy wording, so it’s not hidden away in the small print. Damage to the bike caused by using a roof rack that isn’t compatible with carbon frames does not fall within this definition. Hope that helps clear things up. Team Pedal Cover.
