Fantastic camp! The staff were friendly, professional, and great with the children. My child had an amazing time, made new friends, and came home excited with stories about the activities. Highly recommended.

RGS had a fabulous weekend at the gorgeous Château de Grande Romaine! The staff were all very helpful, the rooms were beautifully clean, the food was delicious and the activities were fun! The students loved seeing Paris and especially using their French at Brie market on the Sunday. They will remember this trip for a very long time!

Staff always go above and beyond to make this a truly memorable experience for the children, and a very pleasant one for the teachers!

Our Year 7 and Year 8 students enjoyed a highly rewarding experience at PGL. Throughout the trip, they demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and determination as they took part in a wide range of adventurous activities. Students challenged themselves, built confidence, developed new friendships, and created lasting memories. It was a fulfilling experience that supported both their personal growth and wider development beyond the classroom.

The location is great, the grounds are huge and lots of nature.
The activities for the children were well organised and planned.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is outstanding and plenty of choice.
The staff were attentive and enthusiastic

The Guides had a fabulous time our group leader the instructors all the staff were absolutely fabulous. The activities were well run and there was a good mixture. The food was amazing and the girls were really well fed with lots of choice. We look forward to going again.

The staff are very welcoming and the range of the activities is brilliant. We are reconsidering whether we would like to rebook. Some activities were mostly spent preparing: for the zipwire, we spent 60 minutes harnessing up and then 20 minutes on the activity so each child only got one go. The gift shop was a bit haphazard. Another school were still in there so we were late to go in and then 20 minutes late for an activity. There was a mix up with instructors so one of our groups was waiting around for 15 minutes and then late for their activity. Some instructors were fab and really engaging; others seemed newer and were less engaging which the children then found difficult.

We visited PGL Boreatton Park for 3 days. It was fantastic! The staff were super keen and helpful, the activities were really fun and the food was AMAZING!!! We will be returning.

Great place for kids

My daughter has had two fantastic mini-breaks at PGL Liddington. The staff are amazing - as well as being fun & friendly, they read the notes before my daughter's arrival and called me when there was a little concern. All very professional as well as loads of fun. My daughter was happy to see some of the staff wearing their sunflower lanyards - it helped her feel welcome and at ease.

Fabulous visit, as always! We've been going to PGL for our yearly residential since 2011 and the team never fail to deliver an excellent experience for our pupils.

Our children had an amazing experience at Ford Castle. This was the fourth year and we've booked for fifth. The staff are great and really understand the children and their differing needs. They were supportive and got children to achieve when they thought they couldn't. The range of activities is good. Everyone was catered for no matter their SEND or dietary need.

Fabulous 4 nights at PGL with my son. We did a great range of activities, and we both loved the variety and experiences. We are vegan too and the catering team were excellent, all items clearly marked and always a good choice.

Very well organised. An enjoyable, happy experience for my grandaughters first visit alone. She very much enjoyed the whole experience. I would certainly recommend PGL

Easy booking, great accommodation, food and range of activities for our children. Safe environment with fantasic facilities.

Stayed for a 2 night (Fri/Sat night) break at the end of May. You do not find out what activities you are assigned until you arrive. The main building and grounds are great (though we didn't have much time to explore them) - the dining hall is clean and functional - the food is adequate. The sleeping accommodation is just beds and a shower/toilet room - which is fine, except if you're the kind of person who likes to sit down to put your shoes on.

Of the 30 activities that I believe are run at Caythorpe Court - 9 of them are "aerial" activities. We were not particularly interested in these - my children are not comfortable with height. 3 of the 6 activities were given were aerial activities [plus the climbing wall - which only one of my children attempted, briefly]. All in all, they only really gained experience at Archery and Canoeing whilst there - which, to be honest, I could have paid far less to have just done at a local venue. The Archery was also not ideal - the bows are too big to make it possible for my youngest to achieve much.

For the most part, the thing my children enjoyed most about the experience was the free pool table in the main building (aside from the fact there were only tips of 2 of the cues).

If your kids love heights or climbing; assuming you get the same kind of ratio of activities - maybe you'll love it. But for us, the juice just wasn't worth the squeeze.

"However, we understand that some guests don’t enjoy heights, and all activities are optional, with the choice to opt out and make use of the centre facilities instead."

This is an interesting way to say 'We know we don't consult you on which activities we assign you - if you don't like any if them you can just not participate.'

Great place. Already booked to return in the summer

We had a great time at Barton Hall in Devon. The activities were great and varied. The instructors were enthusiastic, encouraging and well trained.
Evening activities and entertainment were fun and the kids loved the pool.
The food was good and it was lovely not having to cook.
Very good value for money.
The kids made lots of new friends, we had lots of shared experiences and all want to go back again.

Claythorpe Court has been a blast, the staff were friendly and welcoming, very nice and child focussed, the activities were amazing, and challenging, and helped devlelop many skills, the food was absolutely lovely (although limited) but very good portions, I can honestly say, it's been the best homestay vacation we have had.
