Pillow Company is alive and listening
I'm posting this review to help counteract all the bad press. I experienced a delay in my recent order, too — three weeks; not the worst experience, but still worrying. However, I've ordered from this company before, and I'm really happy with their products. So I was willing to wait.
I urge patience. Your package will most likely arrive. I received a gift certificate for my trouble, as others have; and I did have to call a couple times. But my call was finally returned, and I had a lovely conversation with a woman (possibly one of the owners) who took the trouble to explain that the shipping delays are caused by the company's supplier of organic hulls — the only local such supplier, apparently.
The company is also well aware of customer dissatisfaction about the delays and poor communications. They tell me that they're working on both issues, and I'm confident that they'll manage to do so successfully. I certainly hope so. This is one of the rare companies that I'm only too glad to support.

I love these pillows
I love these pillows. I bought one for my home, one for my cabin and one with which to travel. I like the fact that I get the exact support I need for the back of my head and my neck.
Terrible company
Do not order a pillow from this company. The pillow I ordered did not arrive. I tried to contact this company by phone and e-mail. They never responded! I ended up contacting my bank and they were able to get the charges reversed. This company is either out of business or a scam web site.
I ordered a pillow
I ordered a pillow. After three weeks I didn't get anything but the acknowledgement that they got the order. I emailed them to tell them if they didn't have it in stock to cancel my order. Nothing happened. I tried calling their customer service number. I got a message that the voice box was full so I couldn't even leave a message. I then called my credit card company to make a dispute claim on the bill. They did that, the next day I got an email that they shipped my order. I got my order with a letter saying they were sorry for the inconvenience for the delay along with a 20% credit on my next order. Once I got the pillow I after I made some adjustments to it I liked it. I am going to order another pillow from them. I hope the service will be better this time.
Never received the product
Never received the product. I never received response from my emails or phone calls and now more than a month later I have no pillow.
Patience! Well Worth The Wait..
Patience, Patience, Patience. What a surprise yesterday afternoon Mar 21st 2019 when Fed-Ex delivered me a box. What did order and when? Upon opening to my surprise, my queen buckwheat pillow from The Pillow Company. Had given up hope for it since I ordered on Feb 1st 2019 with confirmation of order, status report on Feb 16th 2019 of inferior delivery of hulls, then on Mar 3rd 2019 this email that I am sharing about my experience. Have been sleeping with sobakawa pillows for over 30 years and was in desperate need of a new one. This Pillow Company Buckwheat Hull Pillow Is Totally Awesome. They apologized for the untimely delivery, provided a $20.00 off coupon on next purchase, included at no cost 2- Relaxation Eye Pillows. I could not be more satisfied with the Quality of this pillow. Will be placing another order for sure reminding myself to be PATIENT. The Reward will be worth the wait... The 4 Stars is for the lack of communication on the shipping, no notice of shipping or tracking. Patience!!
I placed my order on Feb 17
I placed my order on Feb 17. After receiving an automated receipt, I received no further communication. I emailed once on Feb 22 to inquire about my order and then emailed again on Feb 26 to request that my order be canceled. This was never done. Pill Company never mailed the items, nor did they refund the charge. It's now a month later, and I'm only now disputing the transaction. I discovered the issue only because I just received a notice from FedEx telling me that an "exception had occurred" while they were picking up -- not delivering, but picking up -- a package addressed to me.
It's possible this was a fluke, and that other customers have great experiences with Pillow Company, but I won't make the mistake of doing business with them again.

I ordered in December 2018 it is now March 2019 - no follow up email, no nothing.
I tried to call, told their lines are busy leave a message, no return call, I emailed twice, no return email.
They deserve a -* rating for the way their customer services, well lack of. I can't believe, in essence, I have to wonder if they stole my money.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and I get there might be delays in shipping with supply or what not. but to take as much money as they take from someone, and give zero follow up response is not only unacceptable, but downright disrespectful.
Money taken, No Product Recieved, No Response
We placed an order on February 14, 2019. The order has not been received to date, March 21, 2019. Despite many, many attempts by phone and email, we have not received a response. The company deducted the full price of our order on the day it was placed. We are disappointed and out ~$160!!!

Update 3/25/19: Received my order today. Well packaged and including a coupon plus two free items. They did say in the email they would provide extra due to the delay. I will not review the Pillow yet because just opened the package and want to give some time to use. So change from 1 to 3 stars is because package arrived. However still not happy that no email response or even shipping notification. So naturally I was quite surprised to have the package arrive. The timing so close to my review. Coincidence? Just timing was interesting.

I really didn't want to do a review just yet however the company has left me no choice. I placed my order on January 27, 2019. I didn't receive any shipping information or notification until Feb. 16. I received an email explaining that there was a delay because the hulls were not up to quality standards. Okay I want a good product and so I decided to wait. It is now March 19. I sent an email on March 8 to inquire about the status of my order and have not received a response. At this point, I have no choice but will be contacting my credit card company and consulting with an attorney about what to do next. This is my first experience with this company and it's not a good one. I will be heading to social media next - which is something I never do - to alert other customers about this company. This is not how to do business. If the company is experiencing financial difficulty then say it and figure out a way to restructure so as not to anger potential customers.

I ordered a pillow for my husband on 2/2/18, hoping for it to arrive on or close to Valentine's Day. I haven't received it to date 3/18/18. I call the 888-412-4015 number weekly, no one ever returns my call. I received an e mail telling me their supplier sent an inferior shipment and the supplier went on vacation. How does this help me? I'm completely amazed at how terrible this experience has been with this company, worst ever. All I want is my pillow shipped and I will never deal with this company again.
Think twice before you order...
I placed an order for 2 pillows on Feb. 4, 2019, and received no order confirmation, no payment confirmation, no shipping confirmation, nothing. It wasn't until I left messages on both their wholesale and retail voice mails that someone emailed me to let me know there had been a problem with their hull shipment. I elected to wait until they got the problem sorted out. I've heard nothing since, so I emailed them yesterday to find out when I could expect to receive my order, and got no response. Its been over a month now, and unless I hear something within the next few days, I'm going to have no choice but to cancel my order - which would be disappointing, since I've ordered from this company several times in the past, and each was an overall good experience.
UPDATE: Since the Pillow Company wasn't responding to my emails or voice mails, I filed for a refund thru my bank card, and ordered 2 buckwheat pillows from Hullo.com. They cost a quite a bit more, but you get what you pay for... They're standard size pillows, extremely well made, the customer service was awesome, and most importantly, I received my order in a timely manner, and was very pleased. I'm not sure what's happening with the Pillow Company, but I hope they get it sorted out soon, because taking people's money and leaving them hanging isn't good for business! But then again, I see now that the same type of bad reviews goes all the way back to 2014 on this page, so it must be a pattern with them.
I ordered my pillow on January 31st and…
I ordered my pillow on January 31st and it still has not come! My telephone calls to customer service went unanswered and weeks later received an explanation via email about a problem with supplier. Haven’t received any further communications in over two weeks nor has the pillow been received. Very frustrating!

If I could give zero stars I would. I still have not received my pillow. I’ve called, emailed, requested a credit, nothing. I got one email from them saying they were having supplier problems, but that’s it. Worse company ever. I turned it over to my credit card company hoping to get my money back. Run. Look elsewhere. Do not order from this company.

I have been sleeping with the buckwheat…
I have been sleeping with the buckwheat night pillow for about a month now and love it! I have always had neck pain and have tried many other types of pillows in the past to help alleviate it but would always wake up with neck soreness. So far while using this pillow I have had no neck pain when I wake up. I am so excited about this product that I even bought a small size so I can take with me when I travel. The customer service is superb with answering some of my concerns and I am very impressed by the quality of the hulls that this company insist on using. I am looking forward to using some of their other products that they have to offer in the near future!
Unresponsive by phone and email
I called 5 times in early January to place an order and use a $20 off coupon that my friend received due to a seriously delayed order in the fall. The coupon could not be used online. It said I had to call to use it.
No one answered the phone during business hours either of those 5 times. i can't remember if it gave me the option to leave a message, but I would have if it did.
Ultimately, with the expiration date of the coupon approaching, on 1/13/19, I placed an order online (Order #16044) with a note about the coupon and the fact that no one had picked up the phone when I called. I put special instructions in the online order to deduct the $20 coupon.
I was billed the full amount with out deducting the coupon.
On 1/26/19, I emailed to make sure they saw the special instructions about the coupon, but I have not received a response.
It is 2/13/19, one month since my order. I have paid the full amount, and have not yet even received the pillow.
I will follow up today to cancel the order and request a refund.
