WARNING ⚠️ DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE MUPPETS!!!!!!!!

What a horrible experience.Purchased an expensive car from them. Bad attitude from owner. As I was coming from a distance they offered to pick me up from station. On the day told to take a taxi, and they will refund me . (never did) Kept me waiting outside their high security gate in the rain for 10 mins when I did get there. (I think the Fort Knox time security is to keep customes that dont like from leaving rather than keeping people out) Owner /salesman could not even to bothered to come and see me during vehical handover. Totally zero fuel in car, fumes to get to petrol station. Headed around M25 in rain, next day discovered 2 TOTALLY bald tyres. Told me it "had a 150 point AA check" Clearly a lie. I know I was told other lies too. These people will say/do anyhing to make a sale however dishonest/untrue it is.

I’d give zero stars if TP let me. Do not buy from these guys. One of the owners we dealt with is rude, ignorant and sarcastic with zero customer service skills. He also lied to us on a couple of occasions. How he sells cars is beyond me. We pulled out of a deal with these guys because we just didn’t trust them and after reading these reviews I’m so glad we did. Some of their cars probably sell themselves and it’s a good job they do else they’d go out of business very quickly.

Sourced me exactly the right car - easy process and very efficient. Love my new car and everyone there was great to deal with. Highly recommend.

Called up now 3 times wanting to spend £60,000 with them on a car and got terrible service, just simply rude with an attitude. This most definitely isn’t the way to treat a customer with really poor poor service and 0 communication skills, no cares in the world!
Agreed to send a video twice now (as been told to view the wrap quality before visiting), no video still after 1 week, bad tone and not helpful. Just called up again to get a sarcastic person telling me to look on there webpage and again no video not on the web page either. If you don’t want to sell cars just say?!

My brother purchased a vehicle from these people back in September 2022 for my father. Sadly since then my father has been diagnosed with dementia and is no longer allowed to drive.
I’m trying to get all of the paperwork together for the vehicle to sell on, realised that I couldn’t locate the service history so gave Praters a call, initially the guy I spoke to was really helpful when I explained the situation. He told me to give the mobile number a text with my email address and they’d email over the invoice. Fast forward 24 hours and nothing received. Gave another call and spoke to one of the men who run this sad excuse of a car sales - apparently I am not allowed to name him 😂🙄, who was a little stand offish but said he’d send it over. Again didn’t hear anything so dropped them another text just asking if they’d had any joy with the invoice. I then received a call from the same incompetent excuse for an human, asking why I’d sent a rude message, but apparently he didn’t know if it was rude or not as he couldn’t read!? He apparently was unable to tell me that he'd get the service details that they did in the car from his mechanic and then send it over…
He was super rude, I tried to speak to him calmly and explained that my dad has dementia and that we couldn’t find all the paperwork for the vehicle - he’s lived in the same house for 43 years so has mountains of paperwork to go through.. his reply was and I quote ‘I don’t want to hear your sob stories, I’m sitting here with my little girl and I really don’t care about you and your problems’! Obviously this is a super hurtful thing to hear and any normal person with a shed of compassion and decency would never have said such a hurtful thing. I admit, I did call him a p*ick and put the phone down. I am now receiving text messages from him basically calling me a liar, copying and pasting my earlier text saying that my brother had bought the car.. but missing where I said ‘purchased for my dad’.

Would like to say a special thank you for the overall customer service and help we received not only in purchasing however in after care sale too. A few minor issues after purchase were dealt with and rectified with ease.

Do not trust these two brothers.
We bought our vw golf from them a few weeks ago and was told it had just been serviced, DSG oil changed and new cambelt.
We viewed the car everything seemed okay and when we asked if they have a invoice for any of the work carried out they said they don’t keep receipts as all the work is done in their internal garage. They printed off an invoice which shows that the work has been done but with nothing itemised and no part numbers which seemed odd because normally there would be an itemised invoice if the work was genuinely done. When we asked, they claimed this is how all their “invoices” are done.
When we test drove the car the service light was still on and when we checked the service book there was no stamp to show they serviced it even though they said it had been done. Mysteriously, the book was stamped and service light was turned off before we signed over the v5 - they said they just forgot to do it.
Something did not seem right so we got the car checked out by an independent garage a few days later and they confirmed cambelt had not been changed. I have pictures and seen the cambelt myself and was also showed what a new one should look like - this was absolutely NOT NEW.
I phoned up praters to ask them if they could send me an invoice to show the cambelt kit had been purchased. To which they did not respond very well and accusing me of calling them a liar - he was VERY aggressive. Finally, they said they said they keep “all their invoices in a pile” and will need to go through these so call back Monday (another red flag as they told me they have no invoice when we purchased the car - but yes, sure, they aren’t liars).
I called back on theMonday and they ask me to send over the invoice they originally sent me. I did this but purposely didn't show the date so that they could not make another fake invoice on a word document as before.
We then began speaking viaWhatsApp and they made it clear that they will not be sending me over anything as they “don’t need to prove themselves”. They even went so far to say they’d take legal action if I post this review - the local mechanic has already agreed they’d vouch for the cambelt not being changed - he was disgusted that people can lie like this!
This confirmed my suspicion that they were being untrue about the work carried out as, if the work was genuinely done, supplying receipts/invoices shouldn’t be a issue to a customer who is paying over 10k for a car.
I physically looked at the cambelt to see that it had not been changed and can assume the other work has not been done either. How dangerous and careless of them, to put peoples lives at risk by lying about carrying out work on a car for some money!!!
My advice is to avoid this place at all cost. If you do go, or have been, check everything and ideally take a mechanic with you to check it over too.
Lying and greed will get you nothing good in return, in life - it’s very sad that people can do this to others and feel nothing about it.

Aron and his brother know the motor trade inside out. They put me totally at ease and I absolutely love my dream car. Thank you! Also must note that the valet and detailing of the car was first class!!!

I found the car on auto trader and although it was 100 miles from me the price and condition was right, when we arrived the car was exactly as described.

there was no pressure from the salesman they just gave us the keys and left us to look round it, we took it for a test drive and when we got back they again left us to make a decision.

We purchased the car but unfortunately on our journey home it developed a fault, but the kind of fault you would only know about by doing several miles, I honestly don’t think they were aware of it, I called Aaron and he instructed me to take it to my nearest dealer and let them fix it and he would cover the cost! The dealer carried out a diagnostic and aaron paid immediately, the dealer wanted a ridiculous amount to fix it, so aaron asked me to return it to them to carry out the work.

They gave me a curtesy car while mine was being repaired and kept me well updated on progress, with constant communication from Aaron and Ryan.

I’ve read reviews on Praters and sometimes I think peoples reviews say more about them, than the people they’re reviewing, I found Aaron and Ryan very pleasant I spoke to them with respect from the start and they treated me the same, I’d actually say they went above and beyond to rectify my problem.

I’m happy to say the car is now perfect and I’m very pleased with the dealership, in fact I’ll be watching their site for a car for my wife in a few months.

Would not recommend bought a car from here for My bday had to go back with a few issues 1 issues got sorted I had a cracked alloy and buckled and they told me they replaced it but didn't they rewelded over a previous weld and gave me car back was promised a new alloy a over a mnth later I'm still waiting cars had non stop issues constant vibrating whilst driving as I'm still waiting for this new wheel they are very poor and updating you on repairs when have it in and just try fob you of with excuses and trying to blame others I have a 2 year old daughter that has to get in this car
I could go on with this place been 2mnths with owning the car and I've got to say this garage has the worse customer service as much as they try make I think they don't there full of balls***

Called to arrange a viewing on a van. On arrival was not offered a test drive, although the guy was pleasant enough it felt as though they weren’t that bothered whether you bought or not. The farm is a bit ramshackle with vehicles strewn across the site, whilst some of the more expensive stuff was inside a barn most other cars were left out in the elements. The van had substantial missing service history. Asked about warranty, unlike most big dealers their warranty is not provided via a third party I.e they take the risk of a problem in first 3 months or 2,000 miles.

Looked at reviews on various sites including Trustpilot and highly suspicious of number of 5 star reviews. Then saw that Trustpilot warn that Praters are not playing by the rules and posting fake reviews. A lot of the names look generic and the wording of reviews very similar. I’m not naive enough to think that a lot of businesses might post the odd fake review, the sheer number of reviews looks very odd as well.

Definitely a theme emerging from negative reviews that if you have a problem with a car you probably won’t get much if any help from Praters.

For me the fake reviews are a red flag too far. I’m sure many people have bought cars that turned out to be ok but on balance I don’t have confidence that if I had a problem it would be a good experience.

Have rated 3/5 as I didn't buy anything and based on limited experience of going to site and speaking to a couple of people.

Absolutely lovely family run business, fantastic offering of cars and many offers of cups of tea! We took the car for a test drive, Aaron was very patient while we sorted admin bits out and then we were on our way with an amazing car! Can't recommend enough, a real positive experience. Thank you for your kindness!

Arron & Ryan were helpful ,relaxed and made the whole experience easy, seen the car advertised ,rung to go and view, took it out on a test drive bought the car, but it was no pressure to buy from them, had a couple of problems that were sorted under warranty as quickly as parts could be sourced,but the whole experience was relaxed. Not like others where salesmen are pushing to sell something above your budget. If I need something in the future, this will be the first place I look. Great people to deal with.
