Fraudulent Transaction and no refund!
We ordered a dining table and chair set, the payment was taken twice by the sales team for one order! Was told we would receive a refund within 14 days, chased the refund after 14 days only to keep being fobbed off and being told to call back the next day as the person dealing with it isn’t there? We have also now been told by Rattan Direct that we must log a claim with our card payment provider to get our money back. Absolute disgrace, so effectively fraudulently taken our money and now won’t refund it!

Excellent quality and customer service
The two chairs and table we bought are absolutely fine and exactly what we expected and hoped for however, we got caught up in the delayed delivery episode which in our case was made worse with our own holidays/itinerary etc. delaying delivery even further. But that should not all be laid at the feet of Rattan Direct. Appreciate the shipment was coming from a long way away, we chose a colour that was out of stock (pity the website was not up to speed) and our timetable for delivery didn't make it easier. But as we were going to be away, actually a later delivery helped us. Commuinication was all by email and Lewis at Rattan was as really helpful and accomodating to ensure delivery was as agreed which is why, despite not being anywhere near the 7 day delivery stated on the website, we are giving Rattan Direct 5 stars for good quality product and customer service. Our only suggestion would be to check stock before ordering as the "in stock" delivery date may not apply to your colour choice - as happened to us.

Customer Service was very good
Customer Service was very good. Delivery instructions were followed to the letter as we had the furniture delivered to our Lakeland home and not to our local home. Delivery men were very competent and pleasant and unpacked and placed the items exactly where we wanted them. We have had our furniture a while now and it is as good as new. Completely satisfied

Good quality at a good price.
I was just looking for a good priced outdoor round table and Ratten Direct happened to have one that fitted my requirements in their discounted range. The service from Ratten Direct was very good and timely. The produce received was of good quality and easy to assemble.

I ordered a bistro set from Rattan…
I ordered a bistro set from Rattan direct in July. Initially there were some difficulties in communication around stick availability which led to frustration.
However a fabulous customer advisor Amina too control of the situation, listened to my concerns, accepted responsibility and kept me well informed about the progress of my order until it was fully delivered.
I am grateful for the time taken and recognition of the poor communication in the first instance, it makes a great difference to the customer experience.
The bistro set is fabulous as I expected it would be.

I’ve dealt with rattan direct many times very professional good customer service. The furniture is good quality and lasts for many years. I have had some of my furniture for over 15 years and still in great condition very little wear. Would highly recommend.

Great furniture
I have brought conservatory furniture a few years ago and it still as loverly as the I brought it I have looked at a lot of conservatory furniture but none looks as good as mine I brought garden furniture 2years ago and it loverly Rattan furniture is worth every pound and lasts a long time

Company needs money
Brought chair covers they did not fit, returned covers with 3 days informed Rattan advised a refund would be issued within 5-10 working days no refund, contacted again told 15 working days still no refund, contacted again I was told 30 working days and still no refund, been waiting for nearly 2month now, I contacted them after the 30 days and I have not had a response. I have since learned from HMRC website they are under Corporate voluntary arrangement (CVA).

Ordered covers on 1st August. Have not arrived. Numerous excuses and apologies but no action
Having read many unsatisfied customer reviews I guess I will ask for refund and go elsewhere. How can a company remain in business with this level of incompetence?
Rattan Direct asked me to contact them on reading this review. The excuse now is Royal Mail have lost the order and they will re order on Monday. I have asked for email confirmation of this and demanded they use a courier service to deliver my items within 5 working days or I will cancel and ask for refund and compensation for inconvenience caused.

Do not use this company. They are very quick to take your money but the furniture never arrives.
I am very disappointed.
You place an order but that is as far as it goes. Excuses, excuses but no action.

Extremely Poor Customer Aftercare
Absolute bunch of cowboys. Admittedly we bought a Barcelona cube several years ago which was brilliant. This review is about the customer service when wishing to buy replacement cushions. Ordered and paid £369.00 for a full replacement set in April 2025, anticipated delivery June 2025. Advised in June, likely to be July. Advised in July, likely to be August. End of August I instructed that a refund was forthcoming. Full of apologies and that my refund would materialise within 10 working days. Which has not materialised. We now have a very useable Barcelona cube which cannot be used comfortably. I would add that all during this time I could have ordered a new Barcelona Cube with cushions!!!! Don’t look here for good customer after care or a refund.

Ascot sofa set - 8 years old!
My Ascot sofa set was 8 years old this summer-and it is still as good as new and evidence it was worth every penny I spent 8 years ago!
On seeing the longevity of my sofa, friends and family have since ordered from Rattan direct and also received an outstanding service and product.
I Understand the company have had some challenges this summer relating to a warehouse move which is unfortunate, and whilst disappointing for customers my advice would be if you don’t need the furniture urgently bare with these guys and give them a chance to put things right - you won’t be disappointed in the long run!
Not related or have any connection to anyone at the company-just a little sad at some of the reviews for the business and impacted customers.
