The employees at the Amsterdam store in Berenstraat are VERY rude. They ignore you and got a lot of attitude from them, absolutely shocking.

Customer service 1-866-544-1557 is not a functioning line. Tried calling intermittently from 9AM to 1PM. Not a soul exists on the other end. Nada.

As many people have already mentioned here, the quality of their products is extremely low. Considering that they position themselves as a premium store with high prices, it's especially shocking. I think even H&M is far more superior in terms of quality compared to S&S. It's a shame as I love their design. Before I decided to give up on them completely, I had purchased different items from them: trousers, sweaters, t-shirt, shirts. Every single one of those items literally fell apart after a couple of months.

I bought two items from scotchandsoda.com last week. Delivery was fast but the shirt didn’t fit - even though i used the size checker on their website and have another shirt from scotch and soda in the same size that fits fine. On trying to return i am told i have to pay and organise returns myself and have to use UPS if i want to guarantee customs clearance, insurance etc. UPS want to charge £70 to send the shirt back to the Netherlands! For a £135 shirt. This is ridiculous. Calling s&s customer service they then tell me i have to use UPS as they won’t accept another carrier.

I like scotch and soda clothing but I simply will not buy from them direct online again as their sizing is too variable and returns is a total hassle and expensive ripoff.

Great customer service, makes you feel relaxed. Store is always neat and tidy. Plus they give you free items when you sign up for the newsletter !

Shocking returns policy.

Always liked the brand and bought happily from the London shop for years. Made the mistake of assuming they would be as good online. No exchange policy and i have to pay for shipping for the returns. Very poor.

Pantalon acheté dans un magasin à Vannes. Je me laisse convaincre par le vendeur mais une fois chez moi, je découvre vraiment la très très très mauvaise qualité de ce chino en toile de ........chiffon. Une honte de finir des vêtement de cette manière et de les revendre deux fois plus cher que des produits similaires chez des concurrents moins cher. PLUS JAMAIS!!!

Poloshirt hat eine sehr schlechte Qualität. Billiger Stoff und Made in China. Bei den hohen Preisen sieht das alles nach Ausbeute aus. Schade, letztes mal diese Marke gekauft. Wirklich enttäuschend.

Their online subscription service lacks a ton of items and is confusing to the point where you don’t receive your clothes at all if you’re not following their closet minimum rules to a T.

S&S's return process is appalling, expensive and not transparent. It borders on unethical conduct in my opinion as the extortionate returns cost prohibits individuals from returning items.

I tried to return a pair of pants purchased online. UPS (S&S's preferred provider) quoted £71.02 in customs charges, and £19 to ship. This was over 50% of the purchase price.

I would NEVER have purchased online from Scotch and Soda, had I known that I could not return items to a UK store or that the cost of returns was so expensive. It is not reasonable to assume that an individual would know this was the cost and process of returns given Scotch and Soda has physical stores in the UK. There is no information at the point of purchase to indicate this.

Zero customer service. Trying to exchange a sweater for a smaller size. Took it to the store and sales associate said I couldn’t do it there since I ordered the product online - doesn’t make a lot of sense, but ok. Go to contact customer service, have probably called 15 times, sent 2 emails, and waited the entire week and still have yet to get a response. As a huge fan of S&S and an avid purchaser, I will be taking my business elsewhere going forward. Customer service is simple and there’s no excuse for the egregious lack of it, especially with a high-end brand like this one.

Untransparrent order process. Due to being based in Netherlands all returns have to be sent there. Due to having stores in the UK I naively expected to be able to return there if the items were no good. I'm having to return all 4 items I purchased as they were a poor fit and one of the items was faulty. Would never have ordered if they made it clearer during the order process. There should be a notification when clicking UK as destination, and not just written in the small print. Will never buy again from S&S.

Excruciating. 4 separate customs forms to fill in, Then I had to go to the post office and pay to return the package containing a very badly sized shirt and a pair of jeans. Postage cost me £17 as the returns center is in Holland (I'm based UK). I will NEVER buy from them again.

Update: over 2 weeks later; still no refund as my items are still being processed through customs!

They charged extra CHF 28.60 for handling & delivery to Switzerland without any note during the buying process. Never buy there again. Insanely bad customer service.

This is where another customer of Scotch&Soda says that no nice threads are worth the process I am still going through to get a refund on returns. Scotch & Soda shops are here in London, so our naive assumption that we could simply pop in and return some online purchases has turned into a £14 UPS courier charge, a tone of paperwork amongst the chaos of looking after small kids in summer, pernickety details and rules, emails from UPS saying they’ve lost a consignment note, phone calls, more emails, and no help from S&C. Fail. We’ll stick to old rags and sanity, thanks.

Unfortunately after a longish wait and several conversations with customer care, my parcel had been lost. Not much I can do but I was disappointed. Refunded.
