Replacing tyres with budget tyres
My buying experience with SG Petch was not a positive one.
The car I bought needed 2 new tyres as per MOT advisory. The current set front / back were manufacturers recommended Continental.
SG Petch put on budget summer tyres, when I asked for the replacements to be like for like I was told their policy was budget tyres on replacements, and I was given a 'take it or leave it' offer where they asked I pay the difference between budget and non budget tyres and that was their final decision, and this they called a 'goodwill gesture'. I paid the difference.
Buyer beware, check whatever replacement/service part this dealer adds, make sure they use genuine parts and are not cheaping out.

There were communication problems to begin with regarding my booking for new front tyres. However the staff were very good at resolving the problem for me and I will be returning in a few weeks for rear tyres.

Always a pleasure to visit SG Petch, all the staff at the Sunderland showroom are just lovely people and so welcoming, always welcomed with a handshake by Roy, Graeme and manager Chris, the showroom is clean and tidy with plenty of space to move around, the only downside is lack of car parking space outside as sometimes you have to park on the street, the handovers if buying a new vehicle or getting a car serviced is done smoothly and efficiently, oh and the Kia cars are just a brilliant

Traction battery replaced
Although I had to specifically request the test of my Hyundai Ioniq traction battery, S G Petch found that considering its age and the car’s mileage, the battery’s State of Health was below par. They then progressed requesting a replacement through Hyundai and successfully installed a replacement. I was kept appraised of the situation, though only when I attended the service desk. Service staff were excellent, though a chance to speak to the technicians would be nice.

SG Petch in York have been servicing our cars for a couple of years now and have been fantastic. So when it came to replacing one of our cars we were glad to find they had the right colour and spec available (after a poor experience with another dealership).
Deal was done in a few minutes and car was available to collect with towbar fitted by the end of the week.
