I have had five or so boxes of fruit since discovering this wonderful company during lockdown and have enjoyed everything i have had. Each time i order i try something new and its all good. The customer care is excellent and they really seem to go that extra mile to ensure satisfaction. I recommend The Rotten Fruit Box company and their products to everyone as a snacking food and a store cupboard ‘must-have’ for using in countless recipes.

I ordered 2 packets of freeze dried fruit to try the company out in March. I’m glad I did this before subscribing as I have never ordered from them again. I found the website misleading as it talks about reducing global carbon footprints and helping small local farmers. I had assumed this was a global initiative and my fruit would be local to me and help farmers in the U.K. but all fruit is shipped from Portugal which only became clear after I complained about waiting so long for delivery (ended up waiting a month to receive my order). I asked where the fruit was coming from that it was taking so long to arrive and was surprised to hear it was coming from another country. On the basis that I was not helping local small farmers but was responsible for the shipping of a couple of pouches at a very high cost from Portugal I’m not sure how this is helping with anyone’s carbon footprint. Had I known this I would not have ordered. However, the company was not willing to refund me. Upon arrival the amount of fruit was disappointingly small for the price and the raspberries were very bitter - they tasted like they were freeze dried after their best. By comparison, for the same cost as the two small pouches I ordered from the ‘Rotten fruit box’ I managed to buy a whole box of rescued and delicious seasonal fresh fruit from another well known company here in the U.K. The fresh fruit I ordered with this alternative company was from local farms in the U.K. and was delivered within a week and every week via a subscription service. Now that is a genuinely environmentally friendly, local business model. It should be very clear on the web-site for the ‘Rotten Fruit Box’ that wherever you order from the fruit is being shipped from Portugal or Spain (even if it is their aim in future to ship from other countries).

How lovely to have this fruit on my cereals every morning not only does it taste good but also has the smell of the fresh fruit with out the worry of it going off.
I will certainly be recommending this to friends and family and will certainly be to purchase again

Love The Rotten Fruit Box, the concept is so neat and their mission is even better! It is nice getting nutrition while not having to worry about your fruit going moldy. I love snacking right from the bag but the fruits are so good in cereal and oatmeal. My favourite one is the cinnamon apples. My least favourite is the figs. Nonetheless, an amazing company and amazing fruit!

Lovely flavoursome fresh! A wonderful way to add some fruity loveliness to a quick dish! Yoghurt, muesli, ice cream! Or just as a nutritious snack on the go!

No additives, just the marvellous flavour of fruit freeze dried!

I bought a variety pack and loved every fruit even ones i dont normally like when fresh. Peach and pineapple were my highlights. Will order agsin as soon as olives are back in stock and some other new fruits added recently. Keep up the good work.

Such a great idea! I hate waste, I have 3 kids and this is a great way of ensuring they eat fruit (they say it’s better than sweets!!!) and feeling good about non waste.
Love the packaging, again, no waste great recycling, everything about this idea is aces and it works!!! Massive fan!

Amazing products, company & products! From their delicious fruit options (I LOVE the cherry but my boyfriend is obsessed with the pineapple) to their incredible customer service and wonderful concept that helps us all play a part in reducing food waste while doing so in an eco-friendly way, I have to say this is one of the most impressively put together companies I have bought from in a long time. It is honestly a pleasure giving them my money, as they deserve every penny. It sounds like I am being paid to leave this review its so full of compliments haha but honestly, its so refreshing to buy from a company that literally ticks every box for me as a consumer. Every company should strive to be like these guys, very impressed!

The sour cherry is to die for!

I'm in love with freeze dried fruit, and this guys make an excelent product!! I find dried fruit soft and sticky and this frreze driwd fruit is crunchy and super tasty. You can use as snach, take it with yogur, add it to your milkshake, even to add color and taste to the salad! There are some sweeter fruits and some sour fruits, if you don't like all the flavours I recommend the custom set or even give it a try buying one or two bags. I'm a customer forever ❤

I have recently found out about the rotten fruit company from my neighbor and decided to give it a try. It did take a while for the shipment given the situation (covid) but we're so happy with the fruit! My kiddo loves the strawberries the best, my favs are the apples! Always handy snack and we're supporting small private farmers. We'll definately order again!

I am not going to lie to you, it has been about eighteen hours since The Rotten Fruit Box arrived and I have already eaten all of the freeze-dried pineapple. Like, I can not even described to you how good it was.
The box was wonderful - in fully biodegradable, compostable packaging and crammed to the brim with nutritious, healthy goodness. So good that I have already put an order in for my second box.

I love, love, love this idea! Reducing food waste and getting tasty snacks delivered to your door that are full of nutrients! Plus I love the surprise factor of getting the seasonal box- of course, if you’re picky you can choose. Super great for kids snacks. The only draw back is that the packages are so small... but they are compostable so that makes it a bit better!
Definitely give it a go!

Great fruit! My only complaint is that it's a little expensive, but no additives and they're yummy. I've ordered multiple fruit pouches through them the last few months.

I’ve just had one subscription box which I enjoyed a lot. I added a few extra packs to try out as well as well as getting my second box. Going to try and be a bit more creative with the fruit (baking, ice cream). As well as being tasty it’s good to know that it stops fruit being wasted.
