Although not entirely in tile…

Although not entirely in tile mountain’s control, the delivery company damaged a new driveway on delivery and as yet there has been no resolution.

Avoid Tile Mountain if you value clear…

Avoid Tile Mountain if you value clear communication and good customer service. My experience has been frustrating from start to finish.

I was happy to pay for quality tiles, but instead I received confusing information, poor advice and a completely damaged delivery.

I was given conflicting information about delivery and collection, with different staff telling me different things. I then gave the showroom my exact measurements (1.8 m × 0.9 m) and asked them to calculate how many tiles I needed. I had worked out I needed four boxes, but their sales assistant insisted I needed seven. Trusting their expertise, I accepted their advice. It later became clear that I had been sold almost twice as many tiles as I actually required.

When the delivery arrived, every box of tiles was smashed. The pallet was also left blocking access to our property, making it impossible for wheelchair users to get through.

I visited the Plymouth store the same day. They initially offered to replace the four boxes I actually needed, but when I asked for a refund for the three boxes I had only bought because of their incorrect advice, I was told they would not refund them unless I returned the entire order. I found this completely unreasonable.

I have now requested a full refund because I have lost all confidence in Tile Mountain. The damaged pallet remains outside my property because I am not risking injury by moving broken tiles. I have also had to ask for written confirmation that leaving the goods outside while awaiting collection will not affect my refund.

The most disappointing part was the attitude. When I explained why I was unhappy, I was simply told this was "normal protocol." That is not what I consider acceptable customer service.

To add insult to injury, I later received an email asking me to leave a review because they had "done their best to help."

Buying tiles for a home project should be straightforward. Instead, this has been stressful, time-consuming and unnecessarily complicated. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Tile Mountain.

would advise anyone ordering tiles to…

would advise anyone ordering tiles to avoid horrible company to deal with , ordered tiles that came 2 weeks late unboxed an opened so batch numbers couldnt be checked , turned out there was 2 totally different shades in the feature tile we ordered, this wasnt seen to tiler had fitted the tiles , company blamed us for not checking the batch numbers that they didnt send, all tiles had to be removed an bought from another shop to replace the defected tiles

Tiles out of stock when ordering

Tiles out of stock when ordering, told they would be in following week. Following week came and went and still out of stock. Went elsewhere and delivered 2 days later.
Good website but order in stock items as timescales unreliable

Really pleased with tiles, delivery etc.
Unfortunate that you dont take returns. I ordered extra and the tiler had alreasy added spare so we have a couple of boxes left and the money back would have been really helpful.
