When comes to my classes n my support I don’t have an issue I am not going to lie I read MULTIPLE REVIEWS THAT UMA HOLDS UR FINANCIAL AID MONEY. Before I start I am a honors student have two classes left supposed to be done in April. For
Some odd reason this school year they made me wait until February for my financial aid to come through and when I logged into my financial aid it was given in January than they broke my financial aide up into two payments one for February which took all of my money for school and the rest that I requested to offset my bills cause THAT IS WHY THEY ALLOW U TO TAKE IT OUT TO HELP WITH UR BILLS WHILE UR IN SCHOOL they are telling me I have to wait another month to get….meanwhile I graduate literally a month after they choose to release my money. Last semester when I was waiting for my financial aid I called cause one of my loans still said pending I spoke to someone and she literally cleared it and it stated approved and received the next day so that tells it all that yall have peoples payments. Than I speak to a manager by the name of Melissa, this is not my first rodeo going to school I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN FINANCIAL AID AND LOANS GET DISTRIBUTED SEPARATELY she is going to tell me out of her mouth they only received half of the financial aid after I literally spoken to someone earlier that tried to get my money release cause I requested it for my bills and she said she couldn’t unfortunately do it cause it’s set for mar 4th which makes no sense to me at all. I’m only doing half of a semester so why is my loans and financial aid split up anyway. What saddens me is people take this money out to offset bills and yall will not help them but make is if financial aid only paid yall half why is yall bill not split into half when the funds apparently comes out. It’s a sad situation to me. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE and I’m a honors student and will graduate in April.

First let me say the reason for the low score. the first time I started they did everything to work with me even when I had a hold knee replacement and even when it came to me getting my money three months after starting school. After I finish school, they were working for me at times but at time I was feeling they wasn't. now get to starting back in October of 2025 applied got all my paper done and started my classes and three weeks into school got drop called and email to find out what was going on they said they didn't get paper from my doctor office, so I found out that my doctor moved out of stated. so, they let reapply again and three weeks in got drop again. Email and called again telling me the same thing again paperwork from doctor office so am telling them again my doctor is no longer their what can I do. So, the I found out I was drop in when I was trying to turn in paperwork for a class and couldn't. After several days talking with them I tried to login and couldn't tried to email no answer tried calling got put on hold or hung up on. When someone did talk with me, they told me they locked me out the account. Never was told I was going to get locked out after that never heard anything else from them that made me look ugly at them how they not what they say. But if i ever go back to school UMA will not, be it.

I started at UMA in June 2025. Everything was going smoothly until it came time for my financial refund, which I never received. I am set to graduate in March 2026, but as of January 22, 2026, I am still being asked for the tax form. I have become frustrated with the school's constant requests for financial documents. I’ve also read reviews indicating that they frequently ask for these things. Can you please tell me what’s really going on?

i currently attend UMA and what i feared the most happened i read so many reviews that stated they had trouble with financial but i thought you know i will see for myself and guess what happened my financial aid was supposed to be released today and was not and i am a single mom who was relying on her refund to pay my rent i am so discouraged i think i am going to transfer schools

Loved the courses but the resume writers need to go back to college, I received multiple resumes because I asked them to re write them on a few occasions and I gave up on the last request. I'll just get a professional resume writer to write this.

I have had a great experience I graduate the 23 of November and they have helped me with a job In the field from work at home I am graduating with a 3.66 gpa the teachers and advisors was very supportive answer their calls work with your advisors do some of the work they ask when comes to them sending you job applications you will be very happy I start my job dec 4....

As a single mom going to school, this school has been a nightmare on getting my funds on a timly manner. They give you excuses on how they are backed up. If you depend on your money to help get through school as far as bills and such, this is not your school.

The staff IS like family. They are sweet, understanding and caring. I really do recommend many to go to UMA UMA UMA UMA LOL

You have an employee calling my office by the name of Glen that felt he could tell one of my staff members that maybe there needs to be someone else to do my job since I never return his call. Not to mention...I am entitled to vacation and was out of the office for almost a week.

The women trying to get me enroll was very rude and unprofessional. They need better communication, then just reading a script. Another lady called and she sounded horrible. Like a depressed robot. These women don’t care about you. You’re better going somewhere local.

I love attending UMA from start to finish I felt at HOME everyone here was amazing and just made my experience a blast I will tell anyone don’t walk RUN and get here I got my ASSOCIATES in Healthcare management I’m so happy to be a Alumni C/O 2025

The support from UMA staff was outstanding! I always knew that they were rooting for me and my career in Medical Billing and Coding. The career team worked really hard with finding me a job that suited my everyday schedule. I would definitely recommend UMA to anyone who is just starting their journey or to someone like myself that waited later to get started with a career that worked for me.

I graduated from UMA with my Associates in Medical Admin Assistant back in 2018. I honestly thought that after obtaining my degree I would land a job in the medical field. Here it is seven years later, I have yet to get any type of job utilizing my degree. I have applied at so many hospitals and private facilities but no one has given me an chance to even interview. When I did speak to career services at UMA I was advised that bc I don't have the experience, it would be hard for my to even interview. Totally insane to have obtained a degree but no job due to no experince in the field. I have reached out to UMA career services on numerous occasions and they never return emails nor calls so I decided to stop reacing out to them. I recently decided to start reaching back out to them with still no luck. I feel like this was a complete waste of my time and money and I would advise other to look else where.

I thought I could not do it, and I did it with the help with the great team of support at the school every step of the way from the being to the end I love it when I was stuck on something and calling in and they guild you through it and then they would say you got this

I did not think I could obtain a degree. I have failed so many times. I casually asked for more info in an online post on Facebook. 18 months later, I am a graduate. I had expected nothing. I got a phone call from a recruiter and they were more confident in me than I was. I signed up for classes the next day. She called me back. I had made an excuse not to talk during the first call. After getting started, my advisor helped me stay motivated until graduation. The instructors are responsive and have the best communication I have experienced. Before Graduation, I had a professional resume and the confidence to successfully interview. I am also employed full-time at a great company. Ultimate Medical Academy assisted me in a position at a highly respected company. I am thoroughly satisfied with my time at UMA.

i am currently a student. this is my second year attending. first of let me say they told me i was not eligible for a laptop because i have already received one from them. that is not true. when i went the first year they didn't even have the laptop program. and they wanted me to pay for one out of my student loans. no thanks. second of all they over charge for any program that you decide to pick. they blocked me from there Facebook page because i was telling the truth. all they care about is money. lastly they told me that my second semester is not cover by my fincial aid or grants so they want me to come out of pocket for the schooling. you shouldn't have to pay anything back until you have graduated. and i cant afford to pay anything even if i wanted too. i only get ssi and I'm struggling to pay bills with just my ssi. i might just drop out and say forget it. this is not worth the hassle. i recommended my mom but i am abouts to tell her don't do it. and then when i graduated last time they put i dropped out instead of graduating on my finical aid and that took a big hit to my credit. this school is a pos.

This is literally the school from hell. They are very disorganized and only care about getting your money. I’m currently a student and wish I never was recommended to this school. The staff is nasty(not all of them), I asked for assistance to transfer my credits before classes had started (classes started in December , I signed up in November) they wouldn’t help me . The advisor I currently have overbearing and doesn’t respect boundaries. Uma cares is the worst department throughout the damn school. I’ve never experienced nothing like this in my life with any other school. If you are really interested in going to school PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE THIS SCHOOL. This school had my relative go on multiple job interviews where the job didn’t even know my relative was coming. Uma didn’t even take accountability for sending her to the unknown interview (which she was crying of embarrassment).

I started this program in 2015. I got pregnant with twins and wound up not completing the program. UMA kept emailing me for years about picking up where I left off. They did NOT let me forget! In 2023, after my life had settled down, I decided to go back and complete my program. Now I have an associates degree and I am working on my bachelors! I am so glad UMA kept sending me those emails!

Where do I start, First off all the employees lie when you speak with them, half of them don’t know anything you ask, reading from a script. No authenticity. You only get digital books that you can’t download. The instructors never have live class. Financial aid staff is a joke- always saying the back room does everything and you can’t talk to those people. I kept telling them that I was going to withdraw and go to a real college- I have finally Withdrawn and now they trying to keep my loan money.

Hi, I enrolled in UMA in March. My main issue is Financial Aid. They are extremely dishonest. I am a person who honors being truthful. Every single person I spoke with completely lied about the deadline TIME for me to submit documents needed in order to continue on with class. I worked my butt off to make sure my first week was amazing, only to be let down. The actual cut off time for me to submit forms was 12 noon. Not 12midnight! Even when I called that night asking for help, the representative said “your deadline is midnight”. Well I got everything done before that time. And this morning I got a call saying my enrollment was canceled and now I’ll have to start over next week! April 7th!!!!! I’m not sure what the problem is with communication on Financial Aids part! But do better! You have us promise to be honest and yet you ALL are extremely dishonest and very misleading! So what if others have gotten mad about the real deadlines. You were honest and did the best you could. But to lie!!!!!! That’s a major 🚩. New training is needed and if people cannot be honest, then maybe the job isn’t for them! I’m extremely pissed. No apology is needed, I’m big on action. It’s evident Finance department fumbles the ball. So what can UMA do better to make sure their staff is well equipped and qualified for the job? So if a response is posted, you can skip past the empathetic part… just explain how the Department can become more truthful and not misguide students. Noon and midnight are two different things. Y’all were completely wrong in this case. It’s almost like the agenda was, let’s get all her tax information, worry her about XYZ…. So how about make sure the financial aid is fully completed, then start students?! That would make more sense right?!?
