This is basically a scam organization. I showed interest in the school and got a call from a rep. After finding out it was like $29k for a simple associates degree (I can pay less for a bachelors), I said no. Since then, UMA has called my phone over 25 times from 3 different numbers. This is actual spam at this point. I’m really glad I won’t have horror stories like these reviews from actually signing up for this school.

It doesn't even make sense to ask us to be honest about our experience with UMA because I don't think anyone would just sit up and use all of their energy and time just to make up lies about a school like this.Plus if more than one person has made a statement about a specific situation then it's obviously true,right? I'm definitely about to be honest with y'all.

Issue #1 UMA allowed me to enroll into their school,took and collected all of my private and personal information,used it to receive funds then kept the funds all for themselves. I received messages via school status inquiring that I was supposed to have received a certain amount back and til this very day and second I still haven't seen or heard anything about it.

(Issue#2). UMA dropped me because someone called them and told someone in the staff department that I did not have a High School Diploma kml and they began to basically harassed me about the statement that was given to them instead of trying to at least investigate the issue first.Then, because I did not present any proof within the time they were asking me to present my proof they up and dropped me. No, I was not asked to show any proof of my High School Diploma before starting this program. I was told that I could enroll and show documents later.

Now tell me who's that crazy to enroll in school (college)knowing that they do not have the qualifications to enroll? & if I didn't have a High School Diploma why take all of my personal information then just drop me? That's crazy!!! Y'all were sending books in the mail and holding on to people's refund checks. Mind you....No one informed the students that they wouldn't be seeing a cent out of their refund.
Those books were not that high price wise which means a lot of money was left over after sending out books.

(Issue #3) I told a gentleman employed for UMA the size clothing that I needed and they still sent clothing that were SO small. I was EXTREMELY embarrassed to even wear the uniform out doors in fear of being laughed at. It's not right that y'all have one size uniforms knowing people will be enrolling who's bigger and requires bigger clothing. It's an insult if you ask me. I was so proud of myself for starting a new chapter in my life and because of UMA,it was a very terrible experience for me. The pants barely came up my legs y'all and the top part was so BIG it was the worst experience ever for me. Since then I have not even attempted to enroll in any more colleges because of my experience with UMA.

I shared my experience with my followers of (17.6k) just to warn them about this school and thank God they looked elsewhere for schooling and is receiving THEIR refunds regularly. I will continue to share this experience with others because no one deserves to be done the way I was done and especially not those who are actually trying to better themselves for future purposes.

Most students are either a Mother or Father and they have to support their families. Why take from them like y'all do?!!

I am new student to UMA my experience has been a complete nightmare. I have courses from another that could have transferred but they tell me although it's the same class we go over different stuff. The lies you all tell. Financial aid department has no clue what they are doing. I had to sign my paperwork 5 times. Then was told any funding left over I need to apply for. Never heard of that usually when there is money left over the student decides what they want to do with the money not the school..And it should not take 4-6 weeks for students to get the funds if you all get the funding on the 13th. What are you all really doing with our funds. Also what told it would be one class per semester on a full-time schedule they lied. I'm taking 2 classes which makes it hard to work and do school work with two classes. That's a setup for failure especially when you are an A student. I give double zero stars.

I highly do not recommend this school they judge you based off your knowledge on those 3 tests you have to do instead of helping you advance I felt like they judged me off my scores and dropped all my classes , did not call me and I remember a Donna told me that it goes based off what I know did not mention my glasses will be dropped and that's because I was passing all my classes , Never will recommend this school to anyone.

I attended from 2012-14. After completing, got sent on interviews that had nothing to do with curriculum. Never got a job through them. Waste of time. If I thought I could get a refund I'd pursue. Don't waste your time with UMA.

Uma dropped me my 5 or 6th week even though my grades were amazing because they said my financial aid failed through. I sacrificed 5-6 weeks with my toddler because I was reading my book from beginning to end and completing the assignments. The financial staff at uma are cold and only care about their status.

ZERO STARS! I enrolled, had my 1st day of courses, then go to find out I was discharged from the school all together. With out one word, no email, no phone calls to notify me if this horrible news! They decided to drop me as a student because I have a mild criminal record. Mind you I had taken all the consequences of my choices....however it's absolutely absurd for a college to handle a situation in this manner. They are also on the federal student aid list for horrible schools and are borderline fraudulent with the admission, tuition and their fees. LOOK ELSE WHERE FOR YOUR EDUCATION!

If I could give zero stars I would. I started school in 2015 for Patient Care Technician because they told me I could be a Phlebotomist. The teachers, if you want to call them that, told us, the students, that going to this school you would start out at $18 an hour. I was young and pretty stupid. I even did research because I was worried about being scammed. When I was finishing the program, I had to take an exam for my CNA license not Phlebotomy. They never told us we weren't going to be PCT, or able to become Phlebotomist, that we had to take a certification until the month before graduating. When I applied to be a Phlebotomist, places I went to told me I need a certification and over 100 sticks. When I told them where I went to school, I was told to not mention that school since most places will not hire UMA graduates due to their reputation of unprofessional and lazy students. When I went back speak to the counselors of UMA, they said I should do the Medical Assistant program because they were able to draw blood in doctors offices and that would help me. I believed them again on their lies. Again stupidity on my part. I owe a lot in student loans, and they took over half my federal pell grant. Money I can never get back to use at a real college. I wish I never left SPC.

I graduated the medical billing and coding program and no one accepts this degree to work in the field. It’s completely useless. In addition I am working on my Bachelors degree and none of the credits were accepted for a related degree. It’s a rip off for 20,000.

I attended their program for medical billing. There were only two maybe three courses out of two years of classes that actually covered medical billing. They had me do a class on how to create an office newsletter. There were many other courses that did not focus on medical billing. Waste of time!! What the feck? It's not a comprehensive program. I have a useless associates degree and student debt. I got pressured to quit my job and interview with jobs they thought I should be doing that were less pay and had nothing to do with medical billing. They did not teach me what was promised as an outcome for program completion. Do not engage with them.

This school is a total SCAM... Run and never look back. I wish I had. I am out $24,000 and have a degree that I am not able to utilize! I was lied to about work prospects. I have no experience but I have the academic background but no one will hire me without the experience. My next move will be contacting legal counsel also the board of education. This school is taking advantage of people who are seriously trying to better themselves. The curriculum is false, accelerated, not descriptive enough. I do not feel any of the degree programs should be accelerated. There should be more investigation into prior experience and career knowledge of potential students to determine what programs the student should go into.

I believe they may be reputable and possibly have great teachers. But the cost of 24k is ridiculous. I was looking into Medical billing and coding. The admissions/sales guy had me go thru a slide with him. The median pay is $53k. The cost of the class ....to make that amount in the end. Nope! Did not trust the sales guy in the end. It felt like too big of a push for the sale.

I enrolled as a student at Ultimate Medical Academy in November 2020. I had selected to earn my Associate Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I have completed seven of the courses needed and am currently one week away from completing two more of the courses. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA during my entire time as a student at UMA. I have worked very hard for the past seven months, ensuring all assignments are completed and turned in on time. This week, I received a phone call from the Department of High School Verification at UMA. They informed me that my High School is not accepted by them and they are withdrawing me from UMA by the end of the week. UMA knew the High School I graduated from the entire time. That information was provided to them during the enrollment process. Proof of my High School Diploma was sent in two months prior to them telling me it would not be accepted. I had completed seven courses, almost finished with two more, UMA received payment from my financial aide as well as student loans, and was half ways through my program when they informed me they would be erasing my enrollment and it will be as though I was never a student there. Credits will not transfer. They will be erased. All because UMA did not do their job from the beginning during the enrollment process ensuring my High School Diploma would be accepted by them. At no fault of my own, I was kicked out of the school. Again, I had 100% submission of assignments, 100% on time, and a 4.0GPA. An Academic Advisor of UMA actually told me I should seek a GED! I suffered the consequences of UMA not doing their job. I contacted my local college and found out that my High School Diploma is accepted with them. I will not let UMA's wrong doing stop me. I will be enrolling into the Medical Billing and Coding program at my local collage and graduate within sixteen weeks at a cheaper price. I feel as though Ultimate Medical Academy was very unprofessional to do a student this way. I would not recommend this school to anyone. Seven months of schooling for nothing, because they made a mistake. I was treated very unfairly. Nobody should have to go through what I am currently going through because of them. It is not right. Please make sure from the begging, because they won't, that your diploma is accepted. I would hate for them to waste your time like they did mine.

All they do is lie constantly and charge you and the Department of Education on your behalf please don't waste your time.

This school lied to me about me being able to become a phlebotomist. I was told at the beginning of the patient care tech program that I could become a phlebotomist that way since the school did not offer any funding for their phlebotomy program. In the second section they told me that because I never obtained enough needle sticks in school I could not become a phlebotomist and this was never mentioned before I signed the loan papers.

They allowed a ditzy psychotic student to grossly slander my religion in class and the teacher forbade me from standing up for my religious beliefs. The school lied to me about not having to study psychiatry which I asked them constantly if studying psychiatry was ever part of their medical Administrative assistant program and the school lied to me about that and they never placed me where they promised. I have been scammed into a 19 to 20 grand student loan debt. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!

My Daughter who is Autistic and receives Social Security Disability for speech and language deficits. This bogus "school" roped her into $12,000.00 in student loan debt. She is barely able to understand how her debit card works. When I called the school to try and get an understanding of how this happened, how they could give her student loans for a "degree" she will be be able to use. THEY WOULD NOT TALK TO ME! The person that will be making sure the bill gets paid. Do not get sucked into the "bogus" and student loan defrauding institution.

love the coaches and teachers, I was blessed to have some that took time to explain and was never impatient. They edured my questions til i understood the way to get the answer. Also has some great students who were just as eager to learn as I was.In fact,had coach teacher and student refer me to a site where they have games to help learn medical terms. I can't rem the website but I know it helped me Ace my tests! would recommend this to anyone, just let you know ahead, you will need to learn time management, if you don't have it now you will learn to manage it. its the key to making the grades, bec if you can manage time with stuy you will succeed indeed!

i attended uma only to find out that after you complete 5 weeks of work an dont answer there phone calls because you have a full time job an your a mom whos kid is into sports they will lock your account. it suck they say you get a laptop bahahaha never comes

I went to this school to get an Associates degree. I was disappointed not only do i have to pay back student loans but i did not get a job in what my degree is. I have asked for help and have gotten know where. I want to be certified but know one will contact me to see what school i can go to that will certify. I have a hard time finding a job because i don't have the experience but i have the knowledge witch i guess is not good enough.

UMA is an outstanding school to be apart of. The whole staff is there by your side to help you succeed.I am glad to be apart of UMA and it was the best decision I made.
