From small beginnings The UPVC Company is now one of Scotland’s largest window & door installers. Over 20 years ago Jim McGill recognised that companies were charging highly inflated prices for UPVC windows and doors. With a loan from the Prince’s Trust he started to manufacture windows & doors from a small unit in Uddingston and offered Customers a top quality product at realistic prices. The business went from strength to strength and within 5 years moved to bigger premises to meet demand for their products. The UPVC Company now employs over 70 people and all doors & windows are made using some of the latest technology and production techniques in their bespoke factory in Wishaw. The materials used in manufacture are to British Standards or higher and all products are made to the latest safety and security standards and are fully guaranteed for TEN Years. All windows have gas filled energy efficient low E glass & warm-edge spacer to further reduce heat loss saving not only money but also reducing energy usage in the home. As well as windows, over 500 door styles are available and we also have a full range of French, Patio & Bi-fold Doors to give you easy access to your garden so you can take maximum advantage of the spring and summer weather. We cover the Central belt of Scotland and have supplied over 200,000 customers with new windows and/or doors. The company's sales and installation teams are highly trained in identifying the best product for each customers’ needs and making sure that the whole process runs smoothly from start to finish. “We never compromise on quality and part of the service is that customers are not asked to part with a penny until they are completely satisfied. Outstanding from start to finish. Very professional … initial visit, quote, measuring and fitting all conducted seamlessly. Kept informed of process and timetable. From my first enquiry to fitting was approximately 5 weeks.
Very pleased with the company, workmanship and the windows and door are fantastic … would definitely recommend and use again.

Door and Windows Install
Had windows and door installed after recommendation through family. They were accommodating to fit us in with a tight deadline and kept us updated after the initial quote and survey. Install job only took two days, came back out after we looked over everything too and finish looks great.

The Experience from start to finish was fantastic great communication explaining options and prices. The guys came out measured up and windows fitted a few weeks later. They did a fantastic job windows look the part workmen were very clean and tidy and stayed on job till it was completed. Absolutely delighted with the work carried out I will be using them again shortly for a front and back door. Do you yourself a favour if your looking for windows or doors definitely check out Upvc company overall I would rate them 10/10 no issues

Another very professional installation…
Another very professional installation 8 windows and French doors fitted within 2 day the finish was off high standard and made a massive difference to my home. Jim, steph and Colin worked continuously with an eye for perfection and treated my home with respect and ensured all areas were covered and all rubbish and old windows were removed. UPDATE
After leaving this 2* review I got a call from the company who appologised and gave me a despatch date. They also mentoned problems with IT. I believe they intend to give a good service in the future when IT is 'sorted out' but as they haven't managed it for me I can't reasonably leave more than a 3* now.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
Great website for ordering and great price but after placing the order I realised that I hadn't seen how long the order would take to be made and delivered.
I checked back on the website and still couldn't see it.
So I opend a 'chat' asking about it. After 5 minutes waiting I gave up and left a message saying I was disappointed.
No follow-up contact, so I'm even more disappointed now.

Friendly staff - start to finish. Everything was fully explained from initial measuring and quote, next steps and installation. Professional, polite and respectful of property when installing. Great job would highly recommend. We have been receiving compliments on how smart the door and windows look.

Overall good service was provided
Overall good service was provided. Only reason I can't give 5 stars is because all the window sills were badly marked during installation. I sent photos but was advised this is normal condition for MDF and that the customer is expected to sand and paint it, which wasn't clear when we ordered it.

Sorry if Iain our salesman never explained to you that MDF wood comes with a primmer coat of paint and needs painted when fitted.
When our fitters fit the windows they then fit all the internal cills facings and apron to the windows, they then sand the wood to a smooth finish ready for painting. The fitters got fantastic praise for the job they done from your Father in law for a job well done.
