This is the second pair of sunnies I’ve purchased from vision direct, they’re solid and I’ll keep dealing with them

I bought prescription glasses late last year but they broke so I contacted Vision Direct and sent photos. Customer Service checked and agreed to replacement and only 5 days later new specs arrived. Top products, wide price range and excellent service. I fully recommend buying from this reliable and helpful company. Thanks VD.

I did finally get to talk to a person, and got a refund for the sunglasses lenses which they couldn’t make apparently. Got an optometrist here in NZ to make them without any issue. I will update once more when they arrive to see if it was really impossible to make these sunglasses lenses.

Their CS is good when not apparently using the AI filtering. Although I will NOT use them again for anything apart from possibly single vision, they might be ok for normal glasses with progressive lenses, but not gonna risk it. You get what you pay for I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️

If the lense prescription is single-vision everything is fine and works well.

Try something complicated like progressive and they aren’t great, I’ve had two responses from “customer service” which tell me since I purchased something previously my new lenses aren’t right for me. I’m 98% sure the prescription disagrees. Seems like “customer service” is an AI chatbot and isn’t doing its job.

Had a rough start with this company — their online AI tool gave me an inaccurate PD measurement, and they skipped the vertical optical centre height measurement entirely. Both are essential for wearable lenses, and without them my glasses caused dizziness and nausea from day one.
When I raised the issue, my early complaints were met with suggestions to visit a local optician rather than the company addressing the problem directly, which was frustrating. To their credit, they did refund the cost of the lenses and are now sending a replacement pair. The resolution is quick and effective.
Bumping this up from 1 to 3 stars to reflect that the issue is being resolved. Would recommend double-checking your PD and optical centre measurements with a local optician before ordering, just to be safe

I was very hesitant ordering multi focal glasses online as I wasn't sure they would get it right....boy was I surprised. No need for adjustments or anything. They arrived promptly and were perfect. Would not hesitate ordering again in the future.

The Oakley Socket frames are very comfortable and look great. I would have preferred an option to have a wider area of focus for the script at the bottom of the (progressive) lens. My last pair had what was called 'Super Digital' or similar, which meant when reading through the lower lens I didn't need to move my head side to side as much. Otherwise all good.

I've purchased twice from Vision Direct. Both gave been great. Glasses arrived in Australia within a couple of weeks exactly to spec and high quality items.

I spent $350 on prescription Rayban sunglasses, due to the cost of living I could not afford to go to the usual OPSM, what a mistake that was!!!!

I would not recommend this site. There responses remind me too much of SCAM websites.

The lenses clearly not installed properly, the frame would creak on wearing them and after about 6 months I was bringing the shopping in with them in hand and dropped them about 20cms onto a bench top and 1 of the lenses fell out. I tried to install it but clearly the lens is too big for the frame. The other lens came out too easy. I tried to put the original raybans lenses that came with it also and they don’t fit either, online reviews of this model say they should simply click in with a small amount of pressure. I’m not sure if they are even the right size for the frame.
I emailed the company as all I want is for them to put the lenses back in so they can be worn.

Vision direct did a whole song and dance about how frustrating it must be for me but nothing they can do about it as a 20m “impact” doesn’t fall within the scope of the warranty.

Clearly they want to sell you poorly made products but don’t want to help when there is an issue and suggest that you go seek help from an actual optical shop. So go and pay more money to have someone else fix their issue.

Regarding the difficulty reinstalling the lenses, plastic frames often require specific techniques and tools when fitting lenses. Even a small amount of distortion to the frame after an impact can make lens installation difficult.

I'd recommend taking the frame and lenses to a local optical shop for assessment. Their technicians have the equipment and expertise to inspect the frame, determine whether it has been distorted by the impact, and safely reinstall the lenses if the frame remains suitable for use.

Everything's fine (almost) until you want to return the glasses you ordered. The shipping cost is already high, but the return costs are exorbitant – I had to pay 40% of the order's value for shipping both ways! It's a rip-off. I strongly advise against buying from this store.

Glasses are really cute, and came within 2 weeks from ordering!

Frames and lens are an amazing quality. No issues or damage.

The try on feature is really helpful however as expected not 100% accurate. These glasses were recommended for asian nose bridge however in real life they do sit quite low on nose bridge. Not a big deal.

I love my new glasses. Light to wear and satisfied with the frame and lenses eventhough not that expensive. Fast transaction and delivery. Definitely I will purchase again.
