My case was handled by Nicola Bickham over an extended period due to Covid, at all times I felt communication was good and whilst it was frustrating that the covid related delays meant my case seemed to drag at times it was mitigated by the clear communication. Nicola's experience and expert advice saved me extra costs for which I was grateful. My case was settled without court action and I would thoroughly recommend both VWV and Nicola.

Very disappointing service from VWV.
I found them slow to respond, unanswered telephone calls that don’t go to voicemail, incorrect names used in official documents, and incorrect dates used in official documents, to name but a few.
My first communication was on 10th December following the death of my mother. Identification documents were requested and supplied immediately. I’m happy to make allowances for Christmas and the New Year, but the delays were more than could be counted for by the Bank Holidays.
My father’s death certificate was requested, as he died in 2019 and VWV held his will I don’t know how they hadn’t already copied and noted this back then. This was sent on 18th December.
My mother’s death certificate was sent on 3rd January.
After 2 separate requests these were finally returned on 19th January and 17th January.
On 21st January, further ID documents were requested and supplied. Could these not have been requested back in December?
My recommendation would be to get yourself a fireproof safe for your important documents and not use the services of VWV.

Overall are a fantastic service.

Very poor service. They seemed to wait for a problem to occur rather than pre-emptively anticipating it. This keep causing last minute chaos.
We also did not like that the business deal was handed over to three solicitors in turn rather than one solicitor taking ownership of the transaction. Access via telephone was very poor and email communication tardy. There were three solicitor firms involved in the deal and VWV were a disaster, the other two excellent.

Working with Sophie Hamilton was extremely rewarding. Communications were clear and timely. I learned from her knowledge and she was a delight to meet in person. I've been using this firm for almost 30 years. I highly recommend their services.

Mehraj and the team are great! Very professional and kept me informed. Very responsive to my calls and emails.

Such an efficient, friendly, understanding team, who go the extra mile to explain things clearly, to get things done as quickly as possible. In our purchase the seller had hired a bunch of absolute clowns (PCS Legal) who had no idea what they were doing. After 3 attempts getting completely irrelevant documents signed, VWV basically did their job for them, and drafted the document they needed to satisfy the restrictions on the title deed. We couldn't have asked for better service, looking back at it. However, they were extremely expensive relative to other conveyancers, so you get what you pay for I guess.

VWL have handled a number of property transactions for me over the years and are always efficient, knowledgeable and responsive. I recommend their property team highly.

Excellent communication and follow up this is the third house sale with VWV and Fiona Baker has been excellent each time
